I was extremely impressed with the service I received yesterday. The line was long for DMV. Several associates went up to each individual to ask what the reason was for the visit. If the individual needed a form to fill out before they got up to the DMV window, they were given it. I had brought my form from home so I was already prepared. Once I got up to the window, the girl was very friendly! She processed my request quickly. I noticed that our family is not utilizing the Premier. We just have Premium. I drove from Hayward to the Dublin AAA branch and was amazed at how safely the branch was practicing COVID-19 protocols on ensuring everyone's safety. I was greeted by a kind man at the door who then led me to an agent who helped me correct my policy. She was very kind and had great customer service, the same goes with the other two ladies who helped me with a DMV transaction. I really don't care that I have to drive from Hayward to Dublin, this is my favorite AAA location! read more

Overall pretty good experience. There was somewhat of a wait but I guess it wasn't bad considering I went on a Saturday, and it definitely beats the line at the dmv. I went in to pay my car registration, the nice thing was that after paying I was able to receive my tags from them instantly. Which was amazing to save the amount of time to do that at DMV or online. I noticed other people were there for car stuff or buying Disneyland park hopper tickets. Only thing I wish they would improve is to add a few more miles onto the lowest package, it has 5 miles for towing on that membership, the next 2 above that are 100 and 200 (something in the hundreds) read more

Thank God this location is not representative of AAA customer service in general. First you get a rude, short sentenced Asian woman as your "hostess" who directs you to the right line with no recognizable social skills whatsoever. "Good afternoon, can I get a map for Maui? Her response...."No, Hawaii only," as she rolls her eyes and delivers a very rude tone. Then she hands the 90 year old woman her map and says, "Here it is. Next??!," looking past her in the line. Even the worst DMV employee would find her rude. Then we ask for a notary and she excuses herself for 10 minutes to finally come back with "It's going to be at least 15 minutes... Or come back at 6...." It was 11:40 pm. There was 4 people in line and very few people waiting on chairs as well as no less than four employees standing around or sitting at desks, God knows what they were doing. Again this location is not indicative of the service I've gotten before from AAA in general but I will never set foot in this location again. It's a joke. I'd love to know who made the decision to put the person with the least social skills at the front desk. If AAA has some kind of an undercover or secret shopper program, I would hope they do themselves a favor and send them into this one because this place embarrasses the company. read more

It's very convenient to be able to go to AAA to renew a vehicle registration. Due to COVID-19 related restrictions, you cannot simply walk into this AAA office. There's a sign at the entrance instructing patrons to wait in line until instructed to enter. Up to two patrons are permitted at a time to wait inside for assistance at the DMV counter. A plastic divider separates the employee and patron at the counter. Employees walked around the office wearing masks, but were not observed wearing masks while in their own cubicles. In some cases, employees were working in neighboring cubicles. While the partitions between cubicles were about 6 feet high, it was surprising to see employees not wearing their masks. For their own safety and the safety of their colleagues and the patrons, masks should be worn at all times. Based on this, I can't give a five star rating. Three star deduction for the staff not wearing masks. read more

There road side membership can't be beat, and as my insurance company through out any accident, vehicle purchase, vehicle sell, rearranging my coverage & all of my DMV needs they have made it simple and easy. Overall my experience has been great. My Agent VINCENT LADERA is absolutely the BEST insurance agent I could ever ask for. Any time I stop in, even if its right before closing he greets me with a smile and helps me through any situation I have. He is very personable and goes the extra mile to make sure everything is just the way it needs to be. If your thinking about getting AAA insurance I highly recommend it, and if your at the Dublin location you should ask for him to be your agent. You won't regret it. read more

1 star only because zero stars is not an option! Save yourself and your family some serious problems and please get your insurance and towing services ANYWHERE else! I use and love USAA or all my home and vehicle insurance however I signed up for a AAA Premier Emergency Roadside Service membership in March 2018 and pre-paid for one year for the towing/lockout/battery service. Shortly after signing up, I purchased a new vehicle and went to the Dublin AAA to process my DMV Vehicle Transfer paperwork as they had explained was one of my benefits. The front desk lady kept being super persistent about transferring my insurance over from USAA to AAA for my homes and vehicles which I refused to do. She then refused to accept my DMV pink slip because the seller had gone over a single "8" on the handwritten odometer reading portion of the pink slip (not even crossed out or written over a different number). I have an actual picture that I took on my phone that day that I will go back and look for to post here too so you can actually see what she rejected completing my DMV Vehicle Transfer paperwork for at this Dublin AAA office. I left the office extremely upset and went straight to the Pleasanton DMV where they took the same exact pink slip AAA refused with not even a mention of the issue AAA had refused to complete my transaction with. Today, about 8 months later into my AAA Premier pre-paid annual membership, my truck broke down and wouldn't start while blocking the roadway so I called AAA Emergency Roadside Service PREMIER membership using my AAA membership card from my wallet that says member valid thru March, 6th 2019 (next year). I spent the next hour sitting in my truck in a dangerous situation blocking traffic being transferred and disconnected multiple times but still ultimately being told that the Dublin AAA office had fraudulently canceled my membership without my permission/signature and there was nothing they could do for me unless I paid for the tow service I needed out of pocket as they send my formal complaint to their corporate office. Completely ridiculous and extremely dangerously handled by everyone at AAA!!! Don't put your family in this danger and go with another company as I wish I did!!! read more

I've been a CSAA all my long life. While roadside service is great, dealing with them for other issues has become more than tedious. I've come to realize that good roadside service is now readily available, whereas when I got my license it was unique, to me. They have ignored me. Trying to inconvenience me so as not to follow up on payments I'm due. I will be leaving soon. It's a shame. read more

I've been a member for about 8 years and today had a confusingly bad experience. My father has a hard time talking English because of his accent and the lady helping us wasn't making it any easier. She wouldn't explain and had a snobby look on her face. After I have asked about a quote and she responds "Well your not getting a new bag so don't get confused" as if that's the reason why we are asking when I have just explain I have received a new car!!! My rates when up with no explanation and she couldn't explain why clearly. She made us feel like we were dumb when we have never experienced this before. After I mention I'll check other insurances for my newer car and she kept reminding me "When you cancel here make sure to bring prove." I felt so stupid for being a customer all of these years ! Horrible customer service ... now looking into new car insurances who are more clear, straight to the point, lower rates, and better customer service.. Stopped by this AAA office in Dublin in an effort to get my "Honoring Veterans" CA License Plate transferred from my older car to my newer car. I was told by three individuals in the office that they cannot do that as the plate is under "Federal" jurisdiction which is pretty funny considering the plate is a CA plate issued by the state of CA. I then went to Rivas Insurance in Livermore - a small, privately owned family run insurance company. Rivas was able to do it for me in about 10 minutes and I walked out with my new registration and my updated tags for my plates. Better yet - they did it all with a welcoming smile on their face. I have tried to use AAA twice now for DMV related issues and both times they have been unable to help me. They either don't know how to do it or just don't want be bothered with anything out of the ordinary. Their excuse was "DMV doesn't give us full jurisdiction". I gave this office 3 stars because they gave me all the maps I asked for. They are still good for towing, battery service and maps. read more

I was waiting for a survey from AAA but never received one so I decided to yelp about my experience. To begin, I did wait about 15 to 20 min to be helped which in my eyes is fantastic. The alternative is waiting 30 minutes WITH an appointment or 8 hours without one at any DMV branch. I was assisted by associate Alida at the DMV services counter of the Dublin Branch of AAA. I do hope AAA does read these reviews and recognizes her fantastic personality, top notch customer service and top notch quality of work. I went in with tasks to do on three separate vehicles and I was expecting an employee that would be slightly (extremely) annoyed with my tedious requests. When I informed her, she smiled and was so positive: "let's begin!!" One of the three tasks was an oddball for a project car so it was slightly more complicated but she thoroughly explained each form that needed to be completed and with a smile the entire time. i could write all day about my great experience for this particular visit but I'll sum it up. I am disappointed to see some mediocre or negative reviews regarding this branch, I have been to this particular branch numerous times in the past and aside from one so-so experience from a dull greeter, I have always been happy with the level of service I received. Called then because I had a flat tire on my way to the city, luckily I was able to cross the bridge..They told me it will be about 25-60 minutes of wait, ok, an hour and a half later they said another hour , the police also called them tO get me out of the free way, yet another hour.. anyway after over 3.5 hour of waiting I drove my car with a flat tire to a tire shop.. I went to the DublIn office to put a complaint in they told me the only way they can take my complaint was to put it in writing,..ok I said, but they have to write it them selves.. It took one hours of my time. I asked them to not send an apology but explain how did this happen and why am I paying for a service for my self and my family for years...I asked them to put it in writing...it's been over a month and have seen nothing yet. My family and I have been loyal AAA customers for as long as I remember. After my experience today at this location, AAA will no longer be receiving my business. Having just purchased a car from a private party, I went to this location with the seller to transfer the title into my name and complete all the necessary paperwork. Our representative immediately insulted both me and the seller, asking me if "I had been a good girl" and if I "deserved this car". He then turned to the seller and told her that she was being very good to me to give me this vehicle. Confused, I informed him that I was purchasing this car outright and reiterated that I was here to complete the paperwork. He continued to belittle me in the way that he explained the paperwork, using a patronizing voice as he told me I was the "little checks" and "not the Xs" as he marked the page where the seller and I would sign. He continued to speak down to me the entirety of my time working with him. Both the seller and I were visibly upset, and were grateful when staff redirected us to another service member to complete our paperwork. It pains me to think that a male staff member at, what I once believed was a wholesome establishment, would speak down so blatantly to a young woman, and a loyal customer at that. Whether it was sexism, ageism, or simply poor treatment I experienced, it was reason enough to lose my business. I do not recommend visiting this location for any of your needs and will no longer do so myself. read more

My daughter and I had a DMV issue yesterday (Saturday) that needed to be handled. We were not looking forward to it. When we walked in the AAA door, a very friendly, knowledgeable greeter (petite lady with dark hair) asked what we were there for and confirmed we were getting in the right line. I observed the greeter with others while we were in line, and I was very impressed! She was genuine and worked the office to make sure people were in the right place. We did have to wait around 15 minutes. Then we had a very friendly, very knowledgeable person (blonde lady working the computer closest to the trip planning line) handle out request. She was thorough and friendly! We walked away talking about our positive experience!! The 5 stars is for the service! read more

My automotive world is a weird conundrum. My husband has AAA but I don't. My husband has 3 expensive custom classic automobiles, yet I drive around with the most precious thing to us in the world, our son. I don't have AAA but my husband does. I was leaving for a trip to Arizona and needed some new road maps. I stole my husbands AAA card out of his wallet before my trip. In the AAA office there is a "Vending" machine that you can slide your, or whoevers, AAA card through for free maps. Actually exactly like a snack machine with maps in the place of some chips bag. I needed an Arizona Road map and I needed a California Road map. When you walk in there is a counter with a receptionist and if you need help she is very helpful. I picked the correct numbers twice and got my two new maps ASAP. At the end the girl behind the counter asked if I needed help. I was lying obviously because I did really want help when I walked in bur fortunately I figured it out. If you have AAA this is a great service. If you don't but know someone who does....take advantage of it. This is a review for your benefit. read more

Generally disappointed with AAA. I have 2 occasions where I've found their time estimates for emergency services are mostly off. I've had to call back to redo the pickup as they dropped the ball on it even though I got a notification that the driver was coming. Also they've accused me of not being by the vehicle when I was. This forced me to wait all over again. Plus their policies with counting the trips against multiple members of an account aren't friendly or intuitive. Inconsistent rules with member being present at a location where someone else could sign on my behalf. read more

This morning there was a huge line at the DMV office in Pleasanton. After waiting for 15 minutes without moving, I got in my car and headed over to the AAA DMV office on Santa Rita. The receptionist at the door was extremely nice and welcoming. And, best part ...There was no line! The old hag working the DMV desk was UNFRIENDLY and JUST PLAIN RUDE. How does this broad not understand that her job is to be pleasant and accommodating to her customers? If I ever had to go back and I see this sour-pussed, old blond lady with a pixie cut, I will run the other way. Good luck to those of you who need the DMV services at the AAA office. In almost 9 years that I've been with AAA, I always gave 5/5 ratings in customer surveys to the roadside representatives, hotline and office agents who assisted me throughout the years, for I truly recieved excellent customer service from them. Today I visited the office to renew my car insurance with agent Mehreen Mahmood, and what I received was a discourteous manner and noninteractive service. I do not recommend her service to anyone! My second review for AAA is in regards to the car acciedent that i was involved in this past week. I was hit by an uninsured driver claiming to be a member of AAA. Upon reporting the accident I was covered by my own insurance (also AAA). AAA gave me a rental car within the first couple days of the accident. (it would have been sooner but enterprise was closed by the time i reported the accident) My rates aren't going to go up because i wasn't at fault and AAA is going to eat the 500$ deductable that I would usually have to pay. I really feel like a valued customer. I have never had such a quick response or action from an insurance agency. AAA will be writing a check for my Totaled car within the week. This is extreamly fast compared to other companies that I have dealt with in this same type of situation. I will be a AAA member for the rest of my life!!!!!!!! read more

Who knew you don't have to go to the DMV for everything?? My husband clued me in on this when I had to process paperwork for my new car. There was probably a 15-20 minute wait before I got to the main counter. The woman behind the counter was very nice, and very helpful. I won't get into the details, but the staff at the Dublin AAA office go above and beyond for their customers. Ricky is an absolute saint and was able to correct an error on some paperwork for a car I purchased, allowing me to get new plates and registration stickers within minutes.
