I've been to this office three times and each time it was efficient, clean, friendly clerks and I got fast service. The 2nd time I came the clerk told me I brought in an old form to request a Temporary Disabled Parking Placard. He was nice about it and gave me a copy of the updated form. I went back to my doctor and got the right form filled out. I brought it back to the AAA office again and although I had to wait 15 minutes to get up to the counter, I had a good experience. The only thing I wished was that if there is a line of say more than 5-6 people, that there is a bench for seniors like myself who use a cane. Otherwise I'm very satisfied with friendly clerks, efficient service and clean facility. The hours are convenient and there is a large mall parking lot outside. read more

I bought battery from AAA they charged me 150 as a member and had 3 years warranty no matter what, it's been 2 years and their battery was dead . The technician travels to place and stupidly blames my car for causing battery to go dead and he would not honour the warranty . I was forced to buy a $200 battery from the mechanic and put on my own. If you cannot honor your warranty then don't sell. Iam looking for legal advice and have saved my battery with me for evidence. read more

As a member, I do a lot more than car insurance with AAA. I love the one-stop shop philosophy. I can get my house insurance and do a lot of DMV related stuff here. I've also gotten help with Disney and Alaska vacations from their real live travel agents. AAA lines can still be long but they are much shorter than at the DMV. AAA staff are much nicer as well. Another bonus, this AAA location is open Saturdays. read more

Normally, I don't like to do this and give people the benefit of the doubt but this experience was horrible and needs to be changed. My mother went to the Dublin branch for AAA to renew her Disability Placard. The agent at the counter was beyond disrespectful and accused my mother of not knowing what she talks about. Mind you, she has been renewing her placard and getting replacements from SoCal for years. The lady who helped her was rude and dismissive. AAA you need to do better. We don't pay for a membership, so you can hire rude, disrespectful, incompetent staff to dismiss your customers. Heads up: She just went to the Palm Springs branch and they just fixed her problem without any issues and said they never heard of such a thing where AAA won't fix a placard issue. Do better Dublin branch and take a lesson from the Palm Springs branch. This isn't how you treat your customers of 25+ years. read more

Updating** that a full 24 hours later, I still have not received a call back from the Dublin office regarding ticket prices for the Monterey Bay Aquarium, from the message I left yesterday afternoon! This office is very frustrating, never picks up their phone, and takes several hours to call you back. I initially called them to inquire about the price for 3 day park hoppers to Disneyland. On Disneyland's website, they were $199 for a 3-day adult park hopper, last month. No one picked up at the Dublin AAA office, so I left a message inquiring about the ticket prices. Over 6 hours later, I finally get a call back from the Dublin AAA office telling me their 3-day park hopper tickets are $199 (same price as on the Disneyland site!) but that they give you free parking (a $15 value).. unfortunately since they took so long to call me back, I had already ended up purchasing discounted Disneyland tickets through ticketsatwork.com. As it turns out, we ended up staying at the Disneyland Hotel, so free parking at Disneyland would have been worthless to us since we just walked over. Decided to give them another try and call this afternoon to inquire about discounted tickets to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Again, after navigating their automated phone menu, no one picks up and I am directed into their voicemail to leave a message. I do, but then immediately call the San Ramon AAA - who actually picks up their phone!- and got ticket prices from that office. Still waiting for a call back from the Dublin office. I had never been to AAA, in-person before, and I was completely surprised by JULIE at the first counter inside the door. Julie is beauty! She has so much positive energy, she's infectious. She helped me figure out what forms I needed and how to attack my stack in a fun and engaging way. Seriously, interacting with her was actually fun! And the nice lady at the computer chipped away at the particulars, and got me outta there in no time at all! This is about AAA's DMV services. I went for my registration. I have to say, last years visit was not a good experience. The agent who spoke to me was unfriendly, unhelpful and a bit unkind. She had no interest in helping me. I had waited an hour before they opened out front along with 3 other people. I waited patiently. I was in no hurry and didn't mind the wait. I don't understand why she was so short with me. Needless to say I was dreading this years visit. I even contemplated waiting in line for hours at the dmv. But we pay for AAA so I thought Id give them another shot. It was the right choice. This time I went late in the afternoon on a Monday. The greeter was friendly and told me where to go, good sign. I waited for about 30 minutes inside the cool building. Not a problem for me at all as I was in deep on Logic's latest album and loving deconstructing the bars in my head. There were 3 agents working at a pretty good clip so I was feeling good about the visit so far. Right before my turn one of the agents left for either the day or a break. The new agent took a few minutes to get ready but still, it was faster than the dmv. She was great. She was amazing. She was helpful, super friendly and genuinely interested in helping me. I cannot explain to you how happy I was. Every fear or doubt I had about the visit was washed away within minutes. I had not been looking forward to this at all. It had been on my mind all year. Its amazing how one bad experience can color your opinion of a business for so long. Im glad I went back. They were a million times better. In case you were wondering, no, I didnt see the unhelpful agent. She wasnt working that day, thankfully. If she had been, I probably would have walked out. At any rate, I will be returning with no worry. I really do appreciate when a business is as helpful and friendly as they say they are. read more

Horrible customer service by my Agent Gil Rodriguez!!! I am so disappointed right now. I received a bill stating that my Renters Policy was getting cancelled when all this time, I had it through Automatic Debit. So when I called Gil at AAA, I asked what was going on and he got very upset with me asking me "So now this is my fault?" WOW!!! I could not believe his reaction at all. Maybe I caught him at a bad time or maybe he was in a bad mood. None the less. I finally received an apology email from him and he says that AAA dropped the ball on my Auto Pay. But I don't trust him at all whatsoever, now on to find a Professional Agent who won't yell at me when I bring up an issue. read more

Went to AAA yesterday to see if I could transfer a car title. I wasn't sure they could help with a title transfer when a death was involved. They can and they did! I was fortunate enough to be helped by a wonderful person named Rose Farrales. From the moment I walked up to her to the moment I walked away I felt joy exuding from her. She made me feel that I was why she came to work that day. I had very little of my paperwork filled out but she seemed to enjoy helping me fill it out. This was obviously not the DMV. I couldn't stop saying that to my wife the rest of the day. Anyhow, I highly recommend joining AAA in Dublin just to work with Rose. Each time I go into this office, service is prompt and efficent. Was a bit miffed when I went in to buy airline tickets and found out there is no Triple A discount, plus they charge a $30.00 service fee per ticket for them to order your tickets for you! I saved $90.00 by just going on line myself and buying my tickets over the internet. They do have discount tickets to attractions throughout the state. I will buy my Alameda County Fair family pack tickets here. But, what's up with the outrageous service fees??? read more

I have been a member with AAA since 1961 and my family have been members from 1914. Last June I went into the Dublin office to get help on booking a cruise to celebrate my 40th wedding anniversary. I waited for the first available travel agent and then started to describe what I was looking for. While I was talking, this agent received a phone call, he answered the call and he started talking to the person on the other line. I waited for the usual excuse me I'll call you back but that never happened. I waited a few minutes then I got up and walked out of the office. The office manager tried to apologize as I left but the damage had been done. I booked my trip with another travel agent. I just tried to get travel information, by phone, from the Dublin office with no luck. I was caught in that phone tree answering system and waited for 20 minutes. I finally hung up in frustration. I redialed after 10 minutes to see if it was just an unavoidable phone problem, this time I was asked to leave my contact information and they would call me back as their Motto Is "Putting the Customer First"! As you may guess I am still waiting for the call back. I guess I'll be booking my trip with another travel agent. read more

I am beyond irritated and frustrated with AAA!!! I have been a roadside service member for 12 years now switched to them for insurance for my vehicle about three years ago. Yes I had a mishap happen with my DMV record but they knew about it and still insured me the second year just increased my premium which I was fine with but even after being a loyal customer no more mishaps this third year they denies my approval to renew my insurance. This is complete bullshit. I now know why my parents left them after being with there auto insurance for 15-20 years. Do not recommend going to AAA for insurance. Thinking about cancelling my roadside service to. And people wonder why good people turn into criminals once treated like a criminal for one mistake in life. I went to the AAA office in Dublin cause I was in a time crunch and needed to get my tags for my van. My van wasn't passing smog and I got a ticket for not having current tags and when I got smog and went to get tags AAA said there was a $238 dollar fine I owed for ticket and had to pay first! Since my smogged was done, they helped me get tel# to call on fine and waited for me to call....Thank God they removed the fine off the system and it showed same day on the AAA system which they said never happens.....AAA Employees were ALL Awesome and very friendly and helpful! I Highly Recommend and I will be going htere again! read more

I have been a Member for yours. In the last 24hrs, I've received less than 5 star service. My husband's battery died. He was going to get a new battery from an auto part store or Walmart. I suggested he call AAA since they offer new battery service. He called and the representative dispatched a driver out, normal roadside assistance service, but when my husband asked how much the battery would cost, the rep told him to go online and check himself because he wasn't allowed to quote over the phone. He couldn't find the information online so he called, another rep told him he had to download the app and sign in, but she also couldn't look it up for him. It made me think, how would an elder person in need of the same service easily get this information, as many elderly aren't comfortable with technology. Then today I had to take my 2 small kids to take passport pictures. I was told I had to stand in the DMV/Member Service line, which was one in the same. There were about 6 people add of me, all with DMV needs. Each DMV transaction took min 10-15mins. I simply needed to pay the $9 passport picture fee. My transaction took less than 3mins to process, but I had to wait over 20mins to do it. As I stood in line I saw workers on their cell phones, some just walking around not assisting members, and one just sitting at the door waiting for someone to walk in. I am extremely disappointed with the current service we recieved, will be making a formal complaint and will be cancelling my membership. Two incidents in a 24hr period is not ok. read more

Do not use AAA or the Dublin, CA location thinking you will utilize your membership in lieu of DMV services! You will be hassled to no end. Counter persons and alleged "managers" think and purport to be legal experts and attorneys. They surmise a CA title matter is a "federal" matter for one. They cannot read a legal document. They cannot read a title pink slip. They infer. Just do your job. They are worried about being audited by the CA DMV. What you get is a time waste. 4X in for same form. I've done this for 35 years without an incident ever before. Power trip, just like our state employees. read more

I wanted to book a package online with Disneyland, but found that there was no way to book online for more than one room. I decided to head down to the AAA office and try to book a package with one of their travel agents. Husband and I were greeted right away by the receptionist and asked to have a seat in the waiting area until one of the agents could help us. We had a sleeping baby with us and were hoping the wait would not be long and appreciated that we were seen soon after taking a seat. We were helped by Olga, who was very pleasant and friendly. We told her that we wanted our package with the Disneyland Hotel and park hopper tickes and asked that we have one room with a king bed and the other room with 2 queens. She called in our request and booked our rooms over the phone and told us that with the Disneyland Hotel, our bed requests would be just that, "requests" only. Our package ended up being considerably cheaper than booking through Disney.com directly and had an added feature of receiving a card that gives 10%-20% off at certain restaurants and shops there. They also offered free parking (but this was worth nothing to us since we will already be staying at the Disneyland hotel and can walk over (or take the tram). Still, hubby was happy with the price difference between booking through AAA vs. Disney.com and commented that we more than made up what we pay in annual fees to have AAA's roadside service. The only downside I can see to booking through AAA vs. Disney.com is that we will have to go back to the office to pick up the tickets when they arrive rather than having the tickets mailed to our house. Still, I consider it well worth it and I'm really happy with our overall experience at AAA so far! read more

One of the best benefits of being a member (other than being rescued from the side of the road) is being able to take care some of things you would need to go to the DMV for. Things such as renewing your registration, title transfer etc. can be done here at their satellite AAA office! You will save so much time waiting here vs. going to the DMV. read more

Pretty crazy what they do there. Just be careful and do your homework ahead of time. They're not very competitive on everything though they tell you they are. This office is a real 'zoo', get's pretty busy so if you have a real problem, their level of interest in taking care of you may not be what you would expect. Came there earlier today to register a vessel. Stood in like for about 20 minutes and was called next by an older African American lady she asked for my membership card but explained why I didn't have my membership card but had my ID. She asked for my number and I gave it to her, She takes a look at the paper work and ask who is this person to me, I replied that he was my husband. She told me she couldn't register the vessel because my husband wasn't there since it's being register under his name. I told her I have register 2 cars under his name without him here before at this location and she said they aren't allowed too and when did I register the cars last time? I said 2 years ago and she said we stopped doing it 5 years ago. So that doesn't explain why I was able to do it last time. Plus the address on the pink slip was the same address on my ID but it's just under my husband name. read more

He just gave me this pile of paperwork without any explanation of what to do. I was hopeful AAA could sort it out.
