What a sad, unhappy place .... what has happened to AAA. I'm the only one in the location - simple registration renewal. "Take seat and we will call your name". Two guys working the DMV desk. The older gentleman barks my name to approach the counter." What do you need today" - ahhhh, pay for my registration as I told the front desk person 8' from you, in a dead silent space. Piped in music - Mavis Staples singing "I'll take you there" made this quick transaction with the gentleman handling the process, gutting it out as if this was a burden to bear. Got my tags and could not leave quick enough from this gloomy branch filled with employees who are pained to be there. Did get a "thank you" from the people sorter as I passed, so I got that working for me! read more

I love the fact that I can use AAA for certain DMV services. This has really come in handy at times. I used this service at Dublin AAA in August and was satisfied with this service. Unfortunately, at that August visit I requested that the person assisting me update the credit card listed for my membership, I told her that the card on file wasn't one I use and that I could easily miss the charge if it wasn't updated. Easy enough. Fast forward to this Dec. I get an email notification of a charge on the old card. Same AAA membership charge I requested be changed. Hmmm... but wasn't I charged on the new card? Yep... sure was. OK let me go talk to them and get this figured out. Head in there on a Monday at 2pm. There is a line out the door. I stand outside the door for 10 minutes then as the line appears to move I step inside and immediately hear "SIR!! I'm going to have you wait outside! There are too many people in here already!" OK, no problem, I'm with the pandemic masking and distancing, I get the protocols, I can wait. I make it inside after about another ten minutes when the line moves further in and people exit. No more yelling. I'm approached by an employee some minutes later as stand in a line of about 10 people. I'm asked what my business is. I explain the issue. "OK" the person says, "let me see if anyone is available to help you." (there seem to be a good number of people working today, most cubicles are occupied and most counter positions are as well). She walks around for a minute... "Sir, there is nobody available to help you today, I apologize, it appears everyone is either at lunch or busy." "OK, I'll wait." "No, sir, there won't be anyone available today we are simply too busy, I'll ask you to step out of the line." (again 2pm... this place closes at 5pm, wtf?) "Are you serious? I can't wait until someone is available?" "That's correct, sir, we are too busy today, my agents are all making calls and are too busy, we won't have anyone available today. I will have to direct you to the 1-800 number where they can assist you." "OK, I'd like to speak with the manager. I'd like to make a complaint." "I am the manager, sir, and I am working the floor right now and will not be available to take your complaint." ... .... ... not able to take my... ok.. This is when my mind exploded but I was so flabbergasted when I asked the manager's name I forgot it. I just got out of line and decided if this is the kind of service I'm afforded for my AAA membership dues then I would simply prefer not to have this service, and she's right, the 1-800 number would surely be better than this, uh, service... or whatever that was. read more

Was involved in a major car accident, resulting in a a 3.5 hour operation and had to have 2 titanium rods and 12 screws placed in my neck, C3-T1. Well the young lady that hit me with her car had minimal insurance, thereby making my Comp insurance coverage the primary insurance. The AAA claims adjuster, Danny, was a real bastard claiming that every little incident in my life the past 10 years had helped cause the herniated discs. Seeing a chiropractor on a regular basis, falling and getting a broken toe. I just saw an AAA ad how they showed a young couple smiling as the speak over talked about how AAA protected you. That is Bull, AAA dies not protect their members. Oh and I have been a member for over 50 years. Don't believe the advertisements. That accident left me crippled for life. AAA is also one of the most expensive car insurance. Stay away from this company!! read more

I came here to update my address and ask questions about my membership and exactly what it covers. I was going to call the 1 (800) number but thought id visit my local branch since i've never been there, and i'm more than happy I did! Surprisingly there wasn't a wait since I came here during lunch hour on a weekday. I was greeted right away and got the pleasure of working with a young lady named SAMANTHA. She assured me that for $56 a year not only was I getting a piece of mind, but explained in depth all the additional benefits that are included like DMV services! She was so patient with me and made me feel like more than just a customer. After leaving the branch, I informed my sister about all the info she told me and my sister even came in to get a membership and was lucky enough to be assisted by her as well! My sister said she never has received such wonderful customer service and regrets not getting AAA earlier. We are both more than happy with our experience here as to why I thought this would be review worthy! I will be coming into the branch for all my AAA needs just because of the service I received from this exceptional employee. Samantha is what we need to see more of in customer service and is more than a great asset to AAA. I'm really disappointed with my interaction with the AAA Dublin location. I'm a new customer with AAA car and home insurance for the last few months and this was my first branch visit. I had saw online that the membership includes discounted tickets to various attractions, which include the San Diego Zoo, museums, local attractions, and etc. The website included a statement saying to visit a local branch to get an even bigger discount on tickets. So when I used the option to see which branches sell the discounted tickets, the AAA in Dublin popped up. This was great since the location is about 20 minutes from my home. My boyfriend and I were first greeted by a female representative once we walked in the door. I inquired about purchasing discounted tickets for the San Diego Zoo since I saw it online. She began to look at me confused and kept stating that she didn't understand what I was asking her. I tried to be patient and kept explaining my request in different ways. That I was interested in purchasing discounted San Diego Zoo admission tickets since I saw on the AAA website listing that this branch sells them. Then, she proceeded to ask me if the Zoo was located in Northern California. I had stated that it's located in Southern California. She somehow seemed offended and abrasively stated that she knew where Southern California was, which she oddly seemed upset for me answering her question. She told me to go wait in line and that someone else can help me. As we proceeded to walk that way, she stopped us and asked us again what kind of tickets we were looking for. I once again stated the nature of my visit, trying to be very clear as possible. She then went over to speak to someone and came back and told me that they don't sell what I'm looking for. I stated that I was fine if they didn't, but I do think your branch should not be listed on the AAA website in selling such tickets. She threw a rude comment at me by stating, "I've worked here for 20 years and we've never sold those tickets before, so I don't know what you saw online." I was really shocked by her comment and didn't feel the need to stoop to that level of pettiness. I walked away feeling really disappointed in coming to the branch and questioning my membership altogether. Now I've replayed this interaction in my mind and I know without a doubt that I never spoke rudely to her or deserved that kind of treatment. I went with AAA after being with another insurer for many years since I was really impressed with the customer service I received when opening my membership. It's clear that the same quality of customer service does not transcend to all business units in AAA. I believe this AAA representative could have better handled the situation in many ways. I would have been fine hearing that this branch does not offer the discounted tickets I was looking for and to then advise me to call branches to confirm if they sell them before visiting, or that I have an option to buy them on the AAA website. I really do think this branch may need more training opportunities for staff in speaking to members in a respectful manner. All I know is that I will never step foot in this location again and I urge other AAA members to seek other branches for their needs. read more

I've been a long time customer of AAA with both insurance and roadside assistance. I am really upset at how they have handled the coronavirus pandemic. I was recently lied to, manipulated, and taken advantage of by a customer service representative over the phone and tricked into making my bill higher. I called twice to get a resolution and they wanted more money instead of offering a discount for the persons mishandling of the situation. You should be ashamed of yourselves. You call yourselves a moral family oriented business. You screwed me during a time when I am seriously struggling due to the pandemic. I am disgusted. I went in to the office yesterday. This team here is on it! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and they assisted me with my needs. I sat down and observed how they greeted more people coming in while I was waiting. The lady was busy with a customer at the front so another associate noticed this and assisted her right away to address her needs. This is a great team, seems like they all help each other. Although I paid in full my Vehicle registration I needed a smog. So today after receiving my long awaited smog certificate I went to the AAA DMV in Dublin, Ca. to receive my license plate sticker. Given the fact I've moved I also needed to change my address. I found the new city I live in is less expensive to register my car in therefore I was told I'd have a credit of $12. I was told by an AAA representative since I paid my registration last year with a credit card and there was a credit that would be applied towards my registration for changing my address AAA would not be able to either give me the credited amount and or issue me the sticker. They did say however, if I was to only ask to get the sticker they could fulfill that request but not the change of address. I would be required to do that 1 week later and I was asked to sign an affidavit stating why they didn't complete both requests. Bureaucracy at its worst. I've been to many other branches who attempt to help and not simply stare with contempt their inability to complete actions. I'm providing this poor recommendation because of both the bureaucracy and the people poor attitudes. read more

I just spent over $2000 to replace a converter, battery and oil change and air conditioning check. I'm not happy at all with the customer service and vehicle service that I received. I came to this center because of all the positive reviews that I read about customer service and quality service but I didn't have a positive experience. I discussed having my ac unit checked out and my cabin filter replaced but none of these were done. For the overpriced services, I thought they would at least fulfill their end of the bargain. I won't be returning, I don't recommend. read more

It's always nice to have the ability to pay your AAA and DMV bills here. The wait can be alittle long but it is to be expected with the paperwork. The staff has always be courteous to the customers. This review is regarding AAA home insurance. I have been with them over 25 years. They sent me a letter that they were dropping me because they had sent a drone into my backyard to take pictures and noticed that the pool was empty. They didn't ask why the pool was empty, they just said it was a liability and that they were dropping me by June. We had drained the pool because the water was way out of balance and it had never been drained before. We put new tile on and filled it up before we even received the letter. They didn't care though. They are looking for any reason to drop people these days. Horrible way to run a business!!! read more

Pros: DMV service on site and new fresh face to greet the customers instead of the unfriendly Asian lady. Cons: Customer service is terrible and do not know how to help Customers. My rates went up 40% from previous year, and she told me she has to run the report and she has to apply the report rates if it's higher than my current renewal rate. What a BS thing to say. Last year I booked my honeymoon at through this location. I was really impressed with the service and follow up from the agent there. I decided that I was going to go to this location, and not the closer location ( bad customer service). Fast forward to June of this year. I read that this location does car seat inspections. I was thrilled and thought that I would get the same service that I received prior. I called and wasn't sure which department I wanted, so I hit 0 to speak to a live person. When I explained to the lady what I wanted, she replied," Well this is the "blank" department." Well yes, I understand, but there isn't a car seat inspection on the list of options that the automated voice listed. She told me that the person who inspects the car seats was in a meeting and wasn't sure when the meeting was over. She said that she would send an email to her and she would get back with me. Later on in the afternoon, I still didn't receive a phone call, so I called back. I again hit 0 and a man answered the phone. I asked to speak to the lady who inspects car seats. He then said that she went home already. Really? I was irritated. He then told me that there was a guy there that also does car seat inspections. I asked to speak to him. The guy put me on a quick hold and then informed me that he was on lunch. I again gave my information and he said that he would email him. I asked the guy to please make sure that he would give me a call back. I've heard that it could take up to a few weeks to get car seats inspected and I wanted to get a head start (I'm a first time parent). It has been a month since I was told that two representatives would give me a call back, and I haven't heard from them. I haven't received a call or a voicemail from them. I am truly disappointed in the lack of customer service and follow up with this location. I know that the local police and fire departments also do car seat inspections, however, I figured that I would come here since the fire and police departments have bigger responsibilities in keeping our communities safe. read more

We have had AAA towing service for years...used to be your insurance would not cover things like flat tires, dead batteries, and the like. During my 32 years of commuting, I was glad to get help when I needed it. We have kept this service, because we don't want to mess with a great thing!! Fast forward to retirement, and grandchildren. (whew...) I got a new car, and car seat after Betsy #8 went to the tow lot in the sky. I wanted to make sure my little darling was very secure in Betsy #9, so I went to have my car seat checked here. OK service, completely free to AAA members. They were overbooked, and the wait did not work for me, but I was glad our installation passed the test with an A++, but you can never be too safe!! read more

Poor service. I went in for a quote during lunch time. They had me sit and said some one would be with me shortly. 20 minutes later I find out the person that was suppose to help me took lunch and no one mentioned this to me. A total waste of my time. I was mad. I would not come back to this branch. I like AAA the company but not this location. I've gone to branches all over California and the service at this one was the worst. Go to one of the other branches. Hopefully they train the staff here better or fire them and get replacements because it was not good. read more

My in-laws paid for airfare and car rental, but 3 weeks later, they told us we had no car! Airfare is not refundable and our lodging was not either. They offered free shuttles to and from hotel to airport, but later failed on that as well. I told my in-laws to stop using them because they are just another middle man that can cause travel issues, never mind tacking on cost. read more
