I discovered recently there is no cost for passport photos for AAA members. No appointment needed - just go to a branch. I was in and out in 10 minutes! James was kind and patient and let me take multiple photos (I don't photograph well) until finally we had one with my eyes open that didn't look like I was heading out for a crime spree afterwards. The whole team at the San Ramon office was great! Every customer who arrived was greeted and checked in right away. Two other staff helped me besides James (sorry I didn't catch their names) - everyone in the office was friendly, helpful, and fast. I'll definitely come back to this branch if I ever need anything that can't be done online. Oh and the photos were printed immediately and were good quality. James put them in a protective envelope and helped me download the digital copies. I was dreading this task but everything went so smoothly - I'm very happy with how it all turned out! read more

I recently found out that for those who are AAA members there is a DMV desk there where you can do basic DMV transactions such as registration renewal, transfers, international licenses, and much more. There is a employee that sets you up for a quick appointment when entering and then a few minutes later you are up. I got everything i needed to do without the hassle of the DMV office. Great addition and branch. read more

Great and friendly service! We were in the area and stopped by to get passport photos done, as well as some membership stuff. Everyone here was super friendly and we were in and out pretty quickly. Bonus for their staff who took our kids' passport photos. We totally forgot and they were wearing white tshirts (not allowed), but thankfully had extra tees on hand. We were able to use the bathroom in the back to change them. Also NGL, it was crazy hot that day so we lingered a bit for the AC. read more

I need to transfer registration back to California from Texas. I checked with the AAA in San Ramon Office for the DMV service they claim that comes with your membership - 3 strikes unable to help me with my registration. First - renewal... apparently the vehicle I left in California - registration was in suspended status even though I paid the re-instatement fees and provided proof of insurance. They collected the renewal fees and was given instructions by AAA to contact DMV and once reinstated to come back and pick up my tags. I did call the DMV and got it reinstated. Went back to AAA just to be informed can't provide tags. Next DMV service required - I asked if I can do out of state registration transfer back to California? I was informed they can do it and provided me with a check list required documents. Also, they can only do it with an appointment. Set up appointment and got all required documents listed. Showed up at my designated appointment time with paper works that they informed me I need on the check list. I was then informed can't help me due requires a letter from TEXAS DMV indicating no Title issued. This particular document was not on the list of documents required by AAA to proceed with the out of state transfer. I tried to explain why was that not listed as part of the documents needed. I waited a week for the appointment and could have requested Texas DMV to forward the letter they require. Needless to say - no help provided once again and made me look like I am not understanding and it was my fault for the reason why they can't help me. Whereby, I initially verified what documentation I needed to bring. Furthermore, the lady made me feel I am not honest and that another Title was issued in Texas even though I have the certificate of Title issued here in California. I managed to get the letter but, don't want to go back to the San Ramon AAA office - no DMV help provided there... that works. read more

AAA San Ramon Branch - How may we help you sign? No help provided! - Home & Rental Insurance Near Me - San Ramon, California

Awesome service and support- walked in today to turn in my verification certificate for taking the Mature Driver course - and walked out with an exceptional customer service experience. I was greeted promptly with a warm smile and directed to exactly the right person I needed to speak with. After a short and comfortable wait, I was escorted to a private cubicle to speak with that agent. . The agent I worked with was Tina Barcelona, and if her name wasn't memorable enough, her warm and sincerely helpful response to my questions certainly was. She seemed genuinely patient and kind - I learned useful information that I can use to lower my premium, find help for an upcoming vacation trip, and even got updated copies of my insurance cards to store in my glove box. I wasn't expecting my visit to have such a welcome (and appreciated!) impact on my auto premiums, but it did. This wonderful lady just has the kind of caring attitude that makes a big difference - I hope the Triple A corporation will take the time to recognize such a great brand ambassador. It really is the people who do their best for each and every client that inspire loyalty and make a business successful. I took a photo of her business card - email her or call to set up an appointment to discuss your auto insurance needs. Like me, I'm sure it will be a nice surprise! read more

Associates should know what benefits you offer to members. I called the San Ramon branch directly because the AAA website and Monterey Bay Aquarium states a partnership and discounts available. The AAA employee confirmed to me on the phone I would get a 5% discount if I booked online. I tried to book online but did not see where I would get the discount, so I went into the branch. Lidia a travel associate checked with her manager and tells me there is 'no discount'. I wasted an entire day to not see an actual benefit. Signed, Frustrated read more

Me and my Family go to this AAA in San Ramon and there is a young man named, Massee M who gives us Excellent Service! He is Respectful to my Senior Mom and Dad and always has the right answers. Took me as a walk in They were very helpful and patient. I would definitely recommend them instead of the DMV

Went in for DMV Services on this trip. Checked online first to determine method of payments accepted, took awhile to find it- cash or debit, credit has a service fee. I've used this office for DMV services before, and they've ALWAYS been efficient and friendly. read more

Excellent quality customer service. A great alternative to DMV. Also, they offer a huge array of services.

I came in around 5pm as the Dublin ran out of International driver licenses and they served me right away, got me my photos, they had maps, they helped me with a new vehicle registration insurance situation, it was just great! Everyone is so nice, knowledgeable and helpful and fast! Highly recommend! read more

Went in today to replace stolen registration tags off my license plate, and it couldn't have been easier. The nice lady at the check-in counter helped me fill out the form and before I could get comfortable in the waiting area, I was called to the counter. I want to give praise to William (Will) at the San Ramon AAA office for his excellent customer service. He efficiently and effectively handled the multiple items needed including updating the emergency roadside assistance membership, obtaining the mussel sticker for our boat, and replacing the title for our boat. This AAA location has the most amazing and helpful employees. I was there to pay my registration and everything was so quick and easy. They had a promotion on security cameras and I had to stop and ask questions while I was there. Tina Barcelona helped me and she was so nice and helpful. It's really convenient that a AAA office is located in San Ramon just a couple miles from my home. There is a lot more then just road side service. Due to the over loaded DMV you can get most vehicle registration services done without having to go into the DMV. AAA does travel services, passport pictures, insurance, and trip planning. Even though they do not provide the insurance for my needs at a competitive rate, I do use the other services. If your planning a trip AAA provides brochures, maps and discount tickets. This AAA office is located near CVS in the Safeway Diablo shopping center. The best time to go is in the mornings. Plenty of parking in the shopping center. read more

Such a convenient way to deal with DMV issues. Not much wait time very experienced, kind and helpful staff.

AAA has paper maps for free. it's not dispensed by machine anymore. maps of anywhere in the U.S. are available in a sliding drawer. paper maps are more accurate & easier to use than google maps. attendant in residence was very helpful sourcing same. one map covers one city+ now, looking for one city may involve looking for another named map which includes a greater metro area. AAA is nearby starbucks. parking in short supply today. read more

They have like 5-6 signs on the front door saying you can't come in until an employee lets you in. So you stand outside on the markers. Someone comes out and ask you a few questions like: what are you here for, are you an AAA member, is car registered to you, have you tested positive for covid19, have you been sick the last two weeks, have you need near someone with covid19? Wow!!! They are serious here. lol. So after your screening the employee finally walks you in the building. I was in and out pretty quickly for the dmv service I was there for. Good job AAA in your efforts in screening people! read more

I have been a loyal customer to AAA for over 10 years and even got my family and friends to switch over. Even though they were a little more expensive I still trusted that they were a good company. I don't think I'll ever recommend AAA again ever to anyone. Not only has the quality of service gone down through the roadside assistance but also their claims department. They have pretty dishonest people at their field offices. I've had one of the most disappointing outcomes of my insurance claims so much that I want to switch to another carrier. I guess they don't appreciate my business anymore and they just lost a lifelong customer. They say they care, but they really don't. @MercuryIns you just gained a new customer. read more

Greeted and Treated with a smile and efficiency. Highly recommend AAA if you want to stay away from DMV.

**COVID 19 Review** I normally do not write bad reviews, especially in these COVID times, but the lack of customer service I received today makes me wonder why I even have a AAA card? Not like they actually provide real lock out services and to get your credit back for it takes an act of Congress! So today I went to San Ramon AAA which is about 20 minutes from my home to get a document notarized. I was greeted by a really rude lady at the door who is enforcing the social distancing and is acting like a door person. This lady was hella rude, I told what I was there for and she just gave me straight up attitude! Like you work in customer service,! She went and checked and said the notary is busy and come back later! I called and they said to come in whenever, it will only take a few minutes! I do not have time to come back later. So pretty much waste an hour going there and back to get some attitude from their door person and told to come back later. TLDR:Total lack of customer service! Will not be back and going to not renew my AAA membership! read more

I dropped into my local AAA branch to renew my auto registration. Due to Covid, I was asked to wait outside until someone exited. Shortly thereafter, I was asked to come in and was shown the appropriate place to get in line. After a brief wait, I was the next to be served. While waiting, I was assured that someone would be with me shortly. Evesdropping the conversations of the two people at the two windows, I could discern that their issues were complicated and my wait to be attended was going to be longer than normal. Then, completely unexpected, a AAA staff member approached me and offered to help me at his desk. What a relief. He completed my transaction in less than 5 minutes! That's what I call Customer Service!! read more

Being new to the area, and it being my first time ever in a AAA office, the atmosphere was welcoming and the associates were helpful from the moment you walk in. I was dealing with an out-of-state issue in regards to an insurance policy, and didn't know how to proceed in handling it. I was then referred to JD and Tony to further assist me. They were both engaging and professional in helping with my dilemma. They took the time to even talk with my parents in resolving the issue at hand. Tony was excellent in explaining every process in regards to my insurance policy. In the end, I left with a better insurance policy and at a cheaper rate. I'm proud to be a member of AAA and I'm honored to have such a great team to work with in this office!! read more

He was very helpful, fast and efficient as he helped me pay for my auto registrations. I immediately got my registration stickers along with my vehicle registration. It's an excellent service provided by AAA and I'm very grateful and appreciative for their excellent location and excellent service. On the way out, I met Sophie, the manager and I shared with her my great appreciation of having a conveniently located office with excellent service was priceless. What a pleasure it was to come to this office! I had the good fortune of working with Pam, who helped me with my renewal as well as some travel information and maps. What a wonderful lady she is! She was also kind enough to offer me some suggestions on getting automobile insurance quotes or other types of Triple A services. Pam also gave me a 30-year license plate frame for me to display on my car. What a great experience. I don't know what you're doing at this office but you're sure doing something right! These stars are strictly for Jennifer Jones who was exceptional to me. I wanted to change agents for my claim because I needed better responses. I spoke to Tony Wong from the San Ramon AAA office and he was so rude did not listen to my situation nor answer my questions he changed my policy without my consent and increased my bill wrongfully. Thank you, a nice lady who greeted us as soon as we entered the office. And Andrew, we cannot thank you enough for going extra miles and saving us from waiting in a line at DMV for hours. My son and I didn't know what to do with personalized license plates as a registration and a sticker didn't come with them. We also had no idea what to do with the original license plates and the registration. We didn't want to call DMV and definitely didn't want to visit DMV office and wait in line, so we searched and searched on line but didn't get any satisfactory answers. Andrew solved all the problem in 3 minutes like a magic!! Thank you, Andrew! Really nice thing will happen to you very soon (I think). read more
