I contacted CSC for a quote and Israel came by within a day or two to give me a complete walkthrough. This was about an hour after another guy came by and the difference was night and day. Israel clearly knew his stuff and started planning the security camera placement as if he was protecting his own house, wife, and kids. Israel and his team helped me hook up 7 cameras and placed them all so I don't have a single blind spot on the exterior of the house. They also set me up with an NVR for local storage with remote cloud capabilities as well. All the work was basically done in a day, and it looks extremely clean, wires and cables tucked away nicely. I hate to write bad reviews. When you look at my profile you can see that the majority of mine are positive. I love to help out small businesses and I do my best to support them. To preface this review, I would like to say that the test of a company is one that can stand behind their customer when their representatives go out and do installations. I'm writing this review on behalf of my parents who had their home security cameras installed by this company. The installation process went great. They happily obliged my Dad when he said that he had his own cameras that he wanted to have installed. Adan was the man that installed the cameras. He was thorough, helpful and made great suggestions on where to install them throughout the exterior of the property. It was only after the installation that we ran into some problems. Adan left my parents his personal cell phone number so that they could get a hold of him anytime should they run into any problems. He said that they shouldn't hesitate to call or text. My parents trusted his word and when they had issues with accessing the cameras online to view the cameras from their tablets and on the computers, they immediately called and texted Adan to see if he could help. They placed several calls to Adan with no response. They did not think to call the company directly since Adan had told them that they could deal with him directly since he was the one that installed the cameras for them, rest assured. When my dad called me to see if I could follow up, I emailed the company and got in touch with Priscilla who immediately got defensive and showed me copies of emails where they showed conversations between California Security systems and my Dad. She wanted to argue the point that because she didn't hear from my Dad any sooner because of their 6 month warranty program, they could not service the job without charging a fee ($120). My dad had tried to get in contact with Adan within a 3 month period and could *not* get a hold of him. Because his travel schedule for work was so hectic at the time, he simply could not follow up. This is where I took over. Upon talking to Priscilla, she made me feel like it was *my dad and I* who were in the wrong. She insisted that we should have gotten in touch with her directly vs. trying to get a hold of Adan. She said that they instruct all of their representives/ installers to *not* give away their cell phone numbers to customers. Why would Adan have given my Dad his phone number if he had explicitly been told not to? We should not have been held responsible for this. Had this been true, we would not have taken this route. I still have Adan's personal cell phone number to this day. He was amazing until he went MIA. A test of a true company is how you treat your customers when all is said and done. Especially since my dad spent several thousand dollars with them. I cannot say that this company will take care of you and therefore cannot recommend it. read more

We purchased a Lorex camera system from Costco, and soon after opening the box realized that we did not possess the time nor energy to attempt a DIY install. I couldn't even begin to wrap my head around how I would route the cables, power needs, etc. I reached out to 4-5 different companies and literally CSC was the only one to actually get back to me. Is it because we already purchased our own cameras? What's up with that? Anyway, their loss... My first point of contact was with Priscila through both phone and email. She was always kind and helped me set up the initial (free) consultation for an estimate with Israel, the owner. Israel showed up right on schedule and immediately got to work, walking around the house with me and giving his recommendations on camera placements/angles, types of cables to use, routing, conduit piping, etc. Although it was a short meeting, he obviously knew what he was talking about and put me at ease with any concerns I may have had. A few days later, I received the price estimates and to be perfectly honest I sat on it for a few weeks due to my own procrastination (but I was also kind of holding out hope that one of the other companies would actually get back to me so I could at least have a comparison point). Priscila was again very helpful in following up with me and accommodating with scheduling conflicts. We set a date and time for the installation and Abraham and Carlos were both right on time. They reconfirmed the camera placements with me and got to work right away. Instead of using the cables that were included in the box, they smartly suggested using their CAT5E cables to make it easier for future upgrades. Additionally, they set up a junction box and powered each camera individually, so if you have a power failure only one camera goes out and not all of them. On top of that, if you have the paint, they will even use it to paint over the conduit piping so that everything blends in with your home. The whole installation process took about 7-8 hours and they made sure everything was up and running before leaving. A few days later, Israel came by for the scheduled final inspection and to make minor adjustments to the camera angles. As I understand it, they do not offer equipment support when you purchase your own cameras. However, Israel went the extra mile to make sure I understood all the features, functions, and settings - even waiting while I called Lorex because I idiotically forgot the password we had set for the DVR (facepalm). I believe in supporting small local family-owned businesses whenever possible (especially during these tough times), and CSC made my decision a no-brainer. Israel, Priscila, Abraham and Carlos all deserve shout outs and many, many thanks. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future (already considering adding two more cameras...) and would definitely mention them to friends and family looking for camera services. read more

I spoke with a nice lady who took my contact information and said that the owner Israel would call me back at the end of the day. Fast forward 5 days later, I've not heard from anyone so I called back and spoke to the same lady who made it sound like Israel was too busy to call me back and our home was located out of their service area which is understandable. At first Priscila said they don't service my area. I was like, girl you don't like money. Good thing for me and CAS Ana convinced her otherwise. Priscila is awesome though. LOL. CSC wasn't the cheapest quote I got and they weren't the most expensive. I chose them because I wanted a clean install and someone to run conduit on the exterior of my house. They removed my Swann system and installed a 4k Lorex system that I purchased. The job took one and a half days. I'm glad they didn't try to rush to get it done in one. Abraham and Pedro did a clean job running cables and mounting the NVR. Conduit was also installed clean and they painted it too. You supply the paint. They even painted the junction boxes to match my cameras and made sure things are water tight. Metal boxes by the way. They do alot of extras to make sure the customers are happy. In which they deserve a 6 star for going above and beyond. Don't take my word for it, check out my pictures. About a week later, Israel aka the boss came out for final inspection and to reposition all the cameras to get optimal views. I thought this was a great part of their already excellent customer service. It's amazing that everyone in the company is on the same page when it comes to customer service. From the front office to the installers and the owner. My system is good but my only mistake was checking out Israel's app on his phone. CSC installed my camera system in Oct. 2022. I waited until now to submit a review on this company because I wanted a chance to see how this system worked over a period of time. So far, the system has been superior to the one I had replaced. I couldn't be more pleased. Better resolution, zoom in feature, very good audio capabilities (listening and the ability to speak thru the front door camera), and so many other features. I did not seek other bids from other firms. I read the Yelp ratings and after meeting with Israel, the owner, I made my decision to have this company install the cameras. Israel answered all my questions about the products he offered and his recommendation re: the type of cameras to install and how many based on my coverage needs. I even went down to his business and had Carlos, demostrate the cameras they were recommending. During the installation process, Israel communications skillset was great. Carlos, his lead installer, and his co-worker were punctual neat, and did a quality installation. Any install concerns we had , Carlos listened and handled it. Additionally, after the install was completed , I was "figuring out" how to use the system, and had technical questions. Carlos said I could always call him for help, which I did. The friendly team from CSC did an excellent job with our camera installation and additional network runs. I really could not be more pleased. All steel conduit was thoughtfully run close to the trim on the house to minimize distractions. They always took their shoes off when entering our home, used drop cloths to protect the floor while they worked, and left the areas spotless. Our Comcast installer did a sloppy job of running RG6 cable along the side of our house, and when Israel's team saw this, they insisted on re-running the cable properly at no extra charge. Whenever there was an opportunity for them to do a little bit extra to make the final result nicer, they did it! Based on how thoughtful they were during the installation, I'm confident that if I encounter problems down the road, they will stand by their work. I called CSC to schedule a consultation and price quotes and the guy didn't show up on me which was very upsetting especially since I wasted my Sat waiting for him and put my weekend on hold. The 2nd time he rescheduled again and I was about done with CSC but Danielle from the office called and explained that he had a family emergency and he would give me a really great discount for my troubles so like Rihanna, I decided to give Chris Brown ONE more chance. When Israel showed up, he was really apologetic about missing the two appointments and explained to me that his daughter was admitted to the hospital. Would have been better if he rang the bell with flowers and chocolates but I guess I rather see this "great discount" he promised because I'm more practical than sentimental. When I got the quote, I saw that he only gave me a free wireless mouse and a USB extension cable and at this point I felt like he just socked me in the face and gave me another black eye because I was duped. I called Chris I mean Israel back and told him this was not gonna make up the two days I lost waiting on the doorstep for him. We did a bit of back and forth before agreeing on a price that I felt was fair. I ended up getting the top of the line 4MP cameras so the resolution was top notch. Costco currently has one for $900 but Israel would not guarantee the performance so I just went with his system in case there was ever a problem I could call him up to address. The work took a lot longer than expected (2 days instead of the projected 1) but in the end the workmanship was clean as promised. I'm now fixated on watching my cameras throughout the day and I see who's at my door from anywhere in the world. My biggest complaint is that the App on my devices works great but the web version does not. As a matter of fact when I tried viewing from my Mac, it totally incapacitated the entire PC and I had to revert/restore the plug-in I installed so beware. It also doesn't work with Explorer and I had a problem with Chrome as well. Haven't tried Firefox but at this point i'll just monitor from my phone since it's the most reliable. read more

The reason for taking off a star is really not 100% their fault but their policy of not providing support for equipment purchased somewhere else left me dealing with programming issues myself. From their business standpoint I fully understand that they cannot support every system out there but I can also empathize with the one negative reviewer. I hired a professional company and paid top $ so that I could get support when needed. Priscilla is friendly but firm when it comes to stating the policy. No support for equipment purchased elsewhere and no phone contact with the IT guy. I also felt the fees they charge for extra things are high. One of the items they want to charge extra should have been included as a part of the installation. I believe if you purchase the equipment from them and specify every detail of the installation in the contract, you would be very happy with their service. read more

We had been thinking about having a dedicated camera security system installed in our home for a long time. The only problem was that in the the past, when you searched for installers. Either they would not return your call, or they would call back but they only install systems for companies. Until now! We gave these guys a call and spoke with customer service to set up an Appointment. I live outside the San Jose area so we were very happy that they could service our area. As we spoke with Israel about what are needs were in a security system. He was very open an listened to us but he also gave us the benefit of his expertise, of where to mount the cameras and how high, direction etc. We set an install date!
