Pro-techs is one of the few companies we could find that installs 3rd party cameras. We bought Reolink wireless solar cameras for our community outdoor spaces to save on installation costs, and Brian and his team set them up easily. I deducted a star since I felt the sales rep wasted our time (it was very difficult to try to politely end the video call with him) by trying to tell us that consumer-grade cameras weren't going to meet our needs and he tried to upsell us by showing an unrealistic simulation of how fuzzy the images would look compared to their systems he wanted us to buy. Brian wasn't able to get one of our pre-existing wired professional camera system to work, and he dropped communication and delayed appointments by months several times while this was all happening, but I appreciate that he didn't charge us for this, so I'm just adding this as an FYI. read more

There were no inconsistencies like we've dealt with before. We had cameras installed before and the guys did not set up the cameras right and we had blind spots. I bought an eight cameras system from Costco. I spoke with at least 10+ different companies to compare with pricing, attitude and how they will do the installation. I got quotes from $100-$200/camera to $85-$250/hr to $5000 for a complete job. Really, I spent a month of research on this. Brian gave me reasonable pricing and amazing job well done. I generally use Yelp mainly to get information and not to write reviews. However, I felt it was 100% necessary to give Brian and Pro-Techs Security a 5 star review for the masterful job he did setting up a 4 camera video surveillance at our single family residence in San Jose. I did a lot of research prior to contacting Brian and I spoke with 4-5 other vendors and it took me a long time to get all of the information I needed (mostly due to language barriers). Pro-Techs was the last call I made and within minutes Brian was able to answer all of my complicated questions and had a solution which was far better quality than the other vendors and even at a more competitive price. The range I got in quotes was anywhere from $2200-2800 and they were more competitively priced than the others. Brian did a wonderful job with the installation and was flexible/punctual with my schedule and finished the job in 1/2 a day. After completion, he set up the video on all of our smart phones, computers, and tablets and provided user instructions on how to operate the system. He took the time and did a precise job with the camera angles and installed tamper proof dome cameras. I am incredibly pleased with the product and Brian has been super easy to work with, answers his phone all the time, and has helped me troubleshoot minor issues. Here's my story, about a two years ago people were stealing our mail out of our mail box. In some cases on our rural street they were taking the entire mailboxes and post! We are in rural Tracy/Banta/Durham Ferry Road Fair Oak Community. So we decided to contact Pro-Tech Security to install security cameras all around our home and property acreage. Bryan Jayne and his son did a fabulous job and as much hard wiring he had to do there was no mess in my home or property. Just about a week and a half ago the Tracy Police Dept. came to our home and said they noticed we had security cameras and explain to us that there was a heavy duty 350 truck stolen in from a development not to far from our street and they believed that the thieves put the truck in a court near our home where surrounded by large trees and no street lights between 10:00 pm - 6:00 am and if our cameras recorded. We let them in and they reviewed the cameras. I told them our neighbors installed cameras across the street n they are closer to the court where this crime was taking place and the Police officers said they already reviewed their cameras, but the clarity was so dull you couldn't make out the license plates or faces of the crime scene and same issue with my neighbor next door. Our Cameras picked up the license plate and their faces of the thieves. They found the stolen truck, they arrested the thieves and the Police Department thanked us for helping solving the crime.
