I have been a AAA Premier member for at least 10 years and tonight I may have decided to stop paying for it. My sister-in-law has been sitting on the side of the road in Chico for 5 hours for a tow truck and every time she calls she is getting the run around. The customer service reps have been very rude and the supervisor has now had her on hold for 20 minutes. If we hadn't taken my 15 month old son out of bed and driven an hour and a half out to be there with her then she would still be sitting by herself with a dead cell phone. It's almost midnight and once again she is told 10-20 minutes before somebody arrives to help. Why are we paying for roadside service only to leave my family sitting for 5 hours in her car in an unfamiliar location. This is unacceptable. During all of this the service reps weren't even friendly or patient. We listened to the conversations on speaker phone and it was appalling! read more

I had the pleasure of working with a Courtney Morgan. Let me start by saying this...I am in sales, the mortgage industry to be exact, so I know how tough it can be fighting for clients and fighting for commissions to try and make a living. I can also know how frustrating it can be when you have a client who is unresponsive, takes their time with things, and gets back to you when they feel like it-thats the exact type of client I was with her unfortunately! I had a bunch of things going on at the time of this that I don't want to get into, but she completely understood and she was very relentless in her follow up with me which is what sales is all about. She got it done when we needed it and wasn't too pushy. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for insurance! Let's put it like this...i received a carpool ticket and a was in a car accident all within a month...My insurance company at the time wanted to increase my payment to $500 a month!!!! No exaggeration! It was more then my actual car payment! She got it down to $140 and I'm super appreciative of her and what she has done for me! read more

I was very impressed and extremely satisfied with my experience at this AAA office. It was my first time purchasing insurance. I had a lot of questions and Courtney Morgan was very helpful and patient. She made sure I understood everything and that my insurance needs were met. She was very friendly. I needed my work truck towed a couple miles and AAA refused to help me. They claimed my ford weighed 15000 pounds even though it only weighs 7800. They refused to listen to me and look at the ford website. My registration says the correct weight and I have a receipt from the scales at the landfill showing the weight is what I said. They didn't care and confused the max payload with the actual weight. My family has a gold membership and a premier membership and we will not be renewing because of this, there are better options out there now. Why would I pay for a service that outright lies and refuses to help you once you've paid them their dues. I'm really looking forward to the generic response to this telling me how they are going to look into this. AAA will be out of business soon it's obvious they are hurting for money and cheating their customers. read more

A few months ago we hit a small rock slide on the highway and blew a tire, and were not sure if we had damaged the undercarriage or not, so we called AAA. 45 minutes, we were told. An hour later, I called back (10:00 pm, pitch dark). Another 30 minutes, they said. I called back at 10:45; they put me on hold for 20 minutes, I hung up and called back again. Another 10 minutes on hold, then I was told that because we were 5 miles east of town (Chico) and wanted towed an additional 7 miles home (covered by our insurance) no tow trucks would come out. So, it's almost midnight, we've been sitting along the highway for nearly 3 hours, our battery has died because our blinkers have been on for 3 hours, and now they tell us no one is coming. Nice. Their solution; we should call the CHP and they would "make" a tow truck come out; we would have to pay for it, and they "might" reimburse us. CHP sent a tow truck (meanwhile my husband had changed the tire), the tow truck driver jumped the battery, he and my husband determined the undercarriage was fine, and he charged us $40, as he said it wasn't really fair to charge for a full service call. Needless to say, we gave him cash and didn't worry about getting reimbursed. I complained via email to AAA; they assured me someone would contact us to talk about this in the next day or two. Nothing happened. Six weeks later, I sent another email. Two weeks later someone left a "so sorry" message on our cell phone. I've been paying for AAA for years with the assumption that they'd come if I needed them; it was quite a wake up call. read more

Terrible costumer service. Cesar signed me up and I wish he would have been the only person I talked too there he was great. I called cause they couldn't get a point off my license. The dmv and courthouse had nothing on my record. When I called to cancel my coverage(cause none of the other company's I called had any point in my record) the women gave me attitude and put me on hold where I waited 17 min on hold before I realized she was just playing a game. When I called back an hr later and said I wanted to cancel my plan she put me on hold for 30 sec and said oh so you were the one who wanted to cancel cause a point in your record. Obviously just asked her co worker and she explained she put me on hold just cause she could. My policy was canceled in 3 min. Like I said before I wish the women you have for receptionists were as professional and courteous as Cesar. read more

I have had the worst expierence with AAA a person could possibly have. Their client ran into my truck. 100% their fault! They will not return my calls, my emails, my issuance calls or even my trips to the local agency..I am livid! It's been over 8 weeks!! And they don't even have enough respect to get back to me. In addition the form responce below my initial review I got a private message. In that message they wanted my full AAA info. I responded that the branch manager should have it and that my time on this issue has exceeded what i find reasonable. I was not at home so I didnt have my policy number. I did provide my phone # and name as listed on my account also reminding them the local branch manager has all of my info. They never called or followed up. Expect this kind of dishonest and terrible service if you waste your time going to this branch. Better off with the 800# or another agent in another location that might have an ounce of honesty and integrity. I am sure if you never have an issue this branch is fine, aside from the curt reception they lead with when you walk in. However insurance is very much for preparing for the future and your future needs. If you are like i was and trusting these individuals to be honest you will be disappointed. They did own the mistake and call it being "misinformed" but they wont fix it. I hope to never set foot in that building again. read more

We enjoy the convenience of renewing our vehicle registrations in this office each year. I also visit the Chico office to pay my membership, as well as collect maps and travel information. The employees are always smiling, courteous and very helpful. They are also quick and efficient because we never have to wait very long, even when there is a line. I have had AAA auto and home owners insurance for over twenty years and never had a problem. But, today that all changed. I went to the local office to find out why my insurance went up 30%. I talked to, no I should say, I was talked down to by Jay. He started the conversation stating that " he will try and explain the increase to me but I may I may not understand". He repeated that horrific statement several times. He continued to talk to me like I was mentally challenged and that I would never "get" what he was trying to say because it was so complicated. Please! Its not rocket science! I understood perfectly what he said and even understood it the second time he explained it! I can't remember when I was treated so poorly and so disrespectfully. So, I can only warn other women that when dealing with Jay - he may piss you off with his "mansplaining". I am looking at other insurance companies. read more
