Fortunately we happened upon Perfect Fit Alteration who absolutely saved the day. The seamstress that helped us did AN AMAZING job fixing the gown. In fact, the gown seemed more beautiful and comfortable when the seamstress was done. We told her it was an emergency/rush situation and she was able to complete the repair in a few hours. EXPENSIVE beyond belief! I brought pajamas I was making in to get 17 button holes made. I had the…read morethread needed, plus all placements were marked. (Usually I would do it but my machine needed repair). The lady quoted me $3.50 per buttonhole (total of $59.50). She did take it down to $3.25 when I reminded her that I am providing thread.(still $50.25 for BUTTONHOLES!) she said it is time consuming. Well....it is a rip off! When I make them it takes no more than 5 minutes to set machine up. Then you just feed fabric through to each marked spot. At the most maybe 2 minutes per hole. In that case, she is making pretty good money on button
