I had such a great experience coming here. I arrived a little before the seamstress was in (before the posted opening time) and was allowed to get changed so I could be on my way quickly. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Maritza and the incredible job she did altering my wedding dress. From the moment I met her, I felt at ease with the entire process and knew my dress was in great hands. She handled each alteration on my dress with such care and precision. The bridal shop I got buttons from, to swap out the ones that came on my dress, gave us the wrong size and we didn't even notice when they gave them to us. Rather than just putting them on the dress as we asked during the initial fitting (we didn't know the sizing was wrong at the time as we didn't take them out of the bag they came in). Came in her shop to get my sleeves shorten about 1.5-2 cm. This was suppose to be a standard procedure but ended up a disaster. Maritza moved the buttons up, and removed the faux buttons roles. The problem is there a clear mark from where buttons holes, and the fabric looks torn/damaged. She would also tell me it was done and when I would come in she said it wasn't ready... it was finally done 6 days later. she became rude because I told her I didn't like it. I dropped off a dress that needed a zipper. I left the dress for twelve days, when I went to pick up it up it was not done. It was supposed to be done in 6 days but my schedule was busy. The twelfth day it still was not done. They promised me it would be done the following day so I left it and came back the following day. It was still nodone, they forgot about it. I love AA Alterations! I've been taking my cloths there for years. In the last couple of months I have had them alter two sweater dresses that required taking in the sides and two pair of jeans that needed to be hemmed. The sweater material can be a little challenging, but they did a fantastic job. I asked that one of my jeans be hemmed with the original hem attached and it looked great! They are always friendly, professional and will make any changes if I'm not completely happy with the final product. Because I am 5'1" I have had most of my cloths altered for many years and as a result have had cloths altered by a number of places in various towns. I've been coming here for all of my Prom alterations for the past 4 years and I have to say, I feel like family now! Each time I come in, it's like I never left. It stared off with a call asking if they could replace a zipper on a dress, being told yes and that it would be $30, then we come in to show the wedding dress and found out that it would be more to replace because it was a wedding dress and that the person on the phone didn't know that it was a wedding dress, my mistake should of clarified didn't know it made a difference, we then ask what could be done by Friday, by the way came in Wednesday afternoon, she said she wouldn't be able to replace the zipper by then but instead could repair the zipper and can call by then to see if done for $20. We say yes but the latest we can do is Monday by 9:00am the owner says she would work on it over the weekend to have it ready by then if that's the case. We call Friday and she says she can't have it done by then and ask what was the other time we talked about and stated it was Monday morning at 9:00. No problem we were ready for that, we call Monday first and it went to voicemail which we thought was weird, we come to the store on Monday at 10:00 since we saw they didn't Open till 9:30 and came to see that she didn't even start on the dress and says she can't repair the zipper and will have to replace it. We ask how long will that take she states 45 mins and will call us when it's ready we ask if that will work cause the phone went to straight to voice mail and states the phone must be uncharged thank you for telling us, so we go off and get some gas and food for our trip and come back an hour later and it wasn't done she says she's almost done we go for a walk and come back 30 mins and she's finally finished with the dress and put on a new zipper and hook for the dress. She then goes and says it will be $50. Us surprised at the price ask why so high when we agreed on $20 for the repair and we been waiting for over the time she said it would be to finish. She then goes well for the time it will be $40 and won't make you pay the credit card fee. Her employees then says that it would be more expensive somewhere else, such as $100 which we learned it is usually between $30-$60 usually, and says she's giving us a great deal. I accept it and move on and put down a bad review stating unprofessional and utter disregard for time and over charging she then respond with the comment below, which further proves my point, and says don't put your problems onto other people. Which I why I am here posting this to say if you don't care about customer service and just want it done when ever the owner feels like it then yes this is the place for you but if you expect something better and for some one to act professional when speaking with a client and want fair pricing then don't waste your time coming here. It will be stressful and be more worth going anywhere else in town instead. read more

I needed my graduation dress altered in the bust area, but I needed this done by Monday for a graduation photoshoot. When I dropped it off it was a Saturday. The lady said it would be easy and ready by 12pm on Monday. As Monday approached and it hit almost 3:00pm I decided to call to check on my alteration. When I called asking if my dress was ready she asked if I could pick it up on Tuesday instead. I reminded her that I told her that I needed it done before 5:00pm on Monday, when she remembered she eagerly told me it would be done in an hour. She called me 20 minutes later and said she had the dress ready. When I went to pick up my dress she only charged me half of what she originally was going to charge me! & the dress fit perfect! It was hard for me to find one that fit the way I liked and was in the color I needed. I finally found one but the boob area was ridiculous! Did not fit right at all, but with a month to go before the wedding I had to find a ways to make it work. I finally found Maritza through Yelp. I went in about two weeks before the wedding (waited to late, don't wait till the last minute!) and asked Maritza to help me fix the dress.
