I was referred here by Uniforms, Tuxedos, and More for men's suit alterations. I'm pretty disappointed and will follow up with them to let them know they might want to stop referring people to this place. I was extremely clear with these people that I needed this suit for an interview on February 25. They said they would have it done by the 22nd (a friday) by the latest. I waited for their call - nothing. I went in on Saturday to see what was going on - turns out they're closed on Saturday and Sunday and didn't open again until 9:30 on Monday the 25th. Thank god men's wearhouse was able to sell me another suit on Saturday and have it altered well by Sunday. After I finally picked my suit up and expressed my dissatisfaction, the woman was suprisingly unapologetic and rude. She literally just stares at you, just like the other 1-star reviewer wrote! Oh and to top it all off, they don't take credit cards. My suit doesn't fit nearly as well as the other one I bought and had tailored at men's wearhouse does. Granted the one I had done here was pretty cheap, I still expect it to fit well after paying $60 for alterations. If you seek good work and professionalism for men's alterations, go somewhere else. read more

I have never written a review before, that should tell you something that I have never had a business be such a joke in 40 years that made me so mad, this was by far the worst customer service and business I have seen in Chico of any kind. The waiting room wasn't big enough for 3 people to stand. I could barely understand the English of the worker, I asked for 3 shirts to be altered slightly shortened, something a professional should be able to do in 20 minutes, and she asked for $30. I said "seriously?" and was thinking about it. She then rudely said (from what I could understand) "You know what, we're busy, you need to leave", I said I wasn't done, she couldn't talk for 1 minute and work on them in a week? I wasn't in a rush. I had a 4th shirt I wanted a letter sewn into, and she said they don't do that. Excuse me! A professional Alteration shop of 20 years cant sew a letter into a shirt??? I asked who does? I could barely understand when she gave me the wrong name of the business AND the wrong directions. My phone corrected her, and when I got there it was closed haha. So if you want to be treated rudely, overcharged, and not understand the workers as you cram into their shop, this is your place!! read more

Their prices are very reasonable, and my items are always altered correctly and ready quickly. The owner actually listens to what you want to be done, which isn't always the case at other places. The ladies here are amazing! I've gotten 5 pairs of pants hemmed and Maritza has done an outstanding job! She's gotten them done exactly when she said she'd have them done. I dropped one pair off and then went to pick them up and there card machine was down and i had no cash. She let me take my pants anyway since I needed them for work and said bring the money in when I drop the rest off! So I did, went back and dropped off the other 4 pairs, brought cash and paid for all of them and she literally got the 4 pairs of pants done within in 3 hours!! So impressed by her work, presence, and kindness! She most definitely made me feel welcomed and already like family, I will be bringing all my future alterations here, wish i found them sooner! read more

Very unprofessional business. I showed up to pick up my boyfriends pants. I went to pay for the $10 hem job and they said it would cost an extra $2 to use my card. They told me I could walk across to S&S and buy a drink and get cash back or go to my bank. I wasn't going to walk across the street to spend $2 to get the cash and my bank isn't near by. After extinguishing these options I decided they could just charge the extra $2 on my card, she refused to run my debit card and said I could only pay cash. This place is ridiculous and I will not be going back, no you can't profit off of me using my debit card. read more

The ladies at AA Alterations we're SO wonderful to work with! I took three dresses in to be altered for my wedding and I was more than thrilled about how they turned out. One of my gowns, they helped me totally redo the back to make it a low drop back. It was so beautiful and turned out better than my expectations. My other gown for my wedding was a huge ball gown with 10 layers. They shortened it and put a bustle on it and did it all without losing any of the beauty of the dress. I HIGHLY recommend them!!! These ladies are soooo good at alterations. My husband needed his waterproof golf pants hemmed. The tricky part was there is Velcro at the bottom that needed to be replaced after being hemmed. No problem at all for these ladies! What a great job! read more

The seam came undone on both ends after washing once and I received poor service when asking if they could fix this, I was told she wasn't sure if I would be charged also I was going to have to leave it there for another week, good service would have apologized and fixed it same day. read more

This place is horrible, I would give them 0 stars if I could! I needed a few pieces tailored for my anniversary on Dec 15th (two small seam tears on 2 shirts and a tiny hole in a pair of leggings - smaller than a pencil eraser): A) I dropped my pieces off Dec 7th. The lady inspected my garments, told me they could be fixed, and told me to pick them up on the 14th. I even gave her my information and cell # just in case. B) I showed up on the 14th and they informed me that they weren't finished (gee thanks, so much for my anniversary outfit). They told me to come back on the 20th. C) I showed up on the 29th, thinking that would be plenty of time to finish. They told me that didn't know how to fix the shirts and my leggings STILL WEREN'T finished. The lady told me the leggings would be done by the next day. I found this unlikely: If they can't finish 3 pieces in 3 WEEKS, I doubt they'll be able to finish them by the next day. I complained to the lady and she just stared at me like she didn't even care. She was rude and unprofessional. I will NEVER go here again. Save your time and $ and go somewhere else! read more

Without a shadow of a doubt, the best in town. I'm a shorter, slim guy, suits just never looked good on me. Even when other places altered them for me, they still ended up making me look like someone wearing a baggy, ill-fitting suit. It was a Friday morning, I ended up having an interview on a Monday morning in which I absolutely needed to be wearing a suit, and though I thought it was a long-shot, I just thought I'd ask and see if they could have it done for me. Not only did I need it on Monday morning, I wanted to be wearing something that actually looked good for a change. They basically transformed this suit into something brand new and brilliant. The sleeves were thinned, the pant leggings reflected a newer, more slim style, the chest was form fitted, there were no more cuffs in the pants, in essence, I no longer looked like a 1920's gangster wannabe on Halloween. This suit is smooth, dapper and fits like something you'd see straight out of a magazine ad. It looks fashionable, expensive, classy. Not only did they do an amazing job, they had my suit ready by 8:15 am Monday morning, altered, cleaned AND pressed. Who else would've gone out of their way on a weekend to do this for anyone and completely blow your expectations away? They earned my respect and my business. read more

He has a lot of work uniforms that need to be altered while I have the occasional item here or there that needs alterations. Beware of this place! The quoted price for the job was not honored. When I went to pick my item up, they charged me almost double of what they said it would cost. These ladies did not say the work would start at a certain price and go up if they encountered problems. They said it would cost $ xx period--a fixed price for the job. Two of the workers quoted that price to me and the person with me. That was four people who heard the price multiple times during this conversation. When I went to pick up the item, they said they would not have told me that for the item I had. They also told me that what they did was hard. I was an idiot for paying them. I should have let them keep the item and walked out. Then I could have went to the store and bought a whole new item for the price they charged me. I returned to their establishment later that day with the person who was with me for the initial price quote. Neither of us felt it was right for them to quote one price and then charge another or you don't get your item back. The ladies disagreed and refused to give me back the difference between what I was told it would cost and what I was charged. She also told me that she felt sorry for me that I was so upset about this situation. Be careful! These ladies do not uphold honest business practices! Will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau as well. read more

Hands down the worst service I've had from any business in Chico. I brought a jacket in to get wrist guantlets put on, upon returning for the first time to pick up, she in no way made wrist guantlets but half-assed something else. I brought a jacket in with the exact replica of what I wanted, she said ok, return 3 days later. I show back up 5 days later and she told me "I forgot." She was apologetic and told me to return by the end of the day (5 hours later). I show up at the end of the day for the THIRD TIME and her reply was "oh my god I forgot again". How can you even be in business? She was paid in advance as well. Extremely disrespectful. Will never go back and will make sure that other I know will never go as well. The woman who worked on my dress was friendly. I took a way to large davids bridal bridesmaid dress and she had it fixed in no time. I was fitted for my dress when i was 39 weeks pregnant.. needless to say she took it in 5 sizes. It was a one shoulder dress. Given all that she was still able to make it fit me and it looked great.
