I got my dress altered here (red dress)! And not only was the costumer service AMAZING but she did it super fast, and for a super good price! I would definitely recommend going here for any of your alterations!!

Came in her shop to get my sleeves shorten about 1.5-2 cm. This was suppose to be a standard procedure but ended up a disaster. Maritza moved the buttons up, and removed the faux buttons roles. The problem is there a clear mark from where buttons holes, and the fabric looks torn/damaged. She would also tell me it was done and when I would come in she said it wasn't ready... it was finally done 6 days later. she became rude because I told her I didn't like it. Taking to another alteration shop to fix her errors! Would not recommend coming here! She's petty, rude, unprofessional, late on her work, blames others! Save your money and time! Ever since I've reviewed this old lady business the owner keeps saying my page is a scam when it's not

A dress I had ordered came in the mail around 5pm, and when I tried it on it needed to be altered badly! I called AA Alterations (closes at 5 pm) and told them I needed help, so they kindly stayed open past closing for me to swing by. They were very friendly, and listened to exactly what I wanted. I needed the dress to be altered by 3pm the next day, for an event I was attending. She stayed late that night and got to work early that day, and had it finished by 12pm! She did a very nice job, it fit perfectly, and I extra time to get ready. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! Thank you! read more

I saw the one review and was scared to go here. But went anyways cuz its SO close to my house. Now I have to write a 5 star review, because for $10 I got my expensive new True Religion Jeans hemmed and she did a perfect job, in only one day! This is why if I don't see more than 5 reviews for a business I don't trust just one yelp review. I highly recommend this alteration shop, and am taking two more items back! read more

Best place for alterations I've ever been to...and I'm from LA! This is the story... I was asked to be a bridesmaid in my brother's wedding to be held on Sunday, May 24th, 2015. And like I do with every bridesmaid dress I'm asked to buy, I have to get it altered. And really not just light alterations or a hem, but reconstruction - I just about have turned into a new made-to-fit dress. My Los Angeles seamstress/tailor who I've taken two other dresses into had turned out perfectly. This dress however, did not. It was still 2 sizes too big, completely unflattering and the pleats in front made me look like I was huge. I panicked, as I had no time for them to fix their mistakes. I got in the car and travelled 500 miles north to Chico/Paradise where the wedding was being held. My own sewng machine in tow because if I couldn't find someone to fix it, I was going to do my best to fix it myself. Panicked and stressed, I posted a message on Facebook to my NorCal friends asking if they knew anyone who could do some major alterations and turn the dress around in 3 days. Mind you the dress cost $150 and I'd already paid $70 additionally for terrible alterations so I really want looking to spend much more - but I had no choice. A few friends recommended a few ladies who worked out of their house but who were working on limited time. I then did a yelp search for alterations in Chico. A place called AA Alterations was the 1st of three that popped up. One place that someone told me about also popped up, but when I called the number, it was disconnected. I then called AA Alterations and a lady with a sweet voice answered the phone. She had a Latin accent and automatically I thought, she's going to be good. I could just tell. I plead her my sob story - and sensing the desperation in my voice, said come in and I'll have it done for u in one day. I drove straight there - I'd been awake since 5am and driving through California for 8 hours, but without hesitation drove straight to her salon. Without even having me try it on first, she wiped out the correct color thread, threw the dress under her machine and started taking it in. I then tried it on and it already looked 100% better than it had but still needed to be taken in and re-shaped more. Without me telling her what more I'd like done, she said , "oh this front pleats need to come out, it needs to lay flat and needs to hug your hips more." Exactly my same sentiments. I took the dress off and she told me to go grab a bite to eat and come back in an hour and she'd be done. I told her that as long as I could pick it up the next day sometime I'd be fine. So that's where we left it. I came back at 1pm the next day (she had told us she takes a lunch from 12-1 everyday), tried on the dress and it was PERFECT. For like a glove! Exactly how I envisioned it fitting me!!! I learned in speaking with her that her name is Martiza and she has a couple of small kids and is from Central America. She is not only gorgeous herself, but has a beautiful spirt and generosity. She says she just wants to help. Well she went above and beyond helping - my sister even brought her dress into her salon to have fixed and she did hers amazing justice as well. I would have paid whatever she wanted me to, but she only charged me and my sister $25 each to reconstruct out dresses. I wanted to pack her in my suitcase and take her back with me to LA. Martiza doesn't just see, she knows how to make clothes from scratch and therefore knows how clothes should look and fall on you. A real artist. She was so kind and generous and intuitive. Someone I'd be friends with but also a true professional. For you Northern Californians... I wouldn't take my alterations anywhere else! I'm trying to figure out how to bring her down to LA or all my clothes to Chico! Thank you for such beautiful work! read more

I had a tight deadline for an upcoming dance. I'm a student and cost is something I had to be conscience of. At a low cost they did a great job and fast. My dress looked amazing! The 3 women were very kind and energetic. I will be coming back definitely. I was excited to see them again they were so complimentary and nice. read more

Perfect alterations. If you need anything tailored this is the place to go. They take into account different styles, and not many places in Chico will do that. These ladies are absolutely wonderful. Great service and great end product. I was going for a more modern tapered fit on suit, and theses ladies did an amazing job. Please support this local business they are awesome! I discovered how much I love to create clothes back when I was 10 years old, I grew up in a small family business dressmakers back in 1980,sense then I have been sewing as a dressmaker,in June 1995 I arrived from Honduras to California ,I meet a local Alterations business woman who new by my neighbor that I was a seamstress, so i work with her for a couple months,it didn't work for us,I look for a job as a seamstress in other Alterations place didn't had any luck,then in 1996 my husband and I decided to open an small Alterations room,the community of chico responded right away ,its been a blast sense then thanks to you all,and first of all thanks to the Lord! In 2007 when to work at the men's wear house I was fortunes to be trained by the master tailor mister Tom at the menswear house I worked there as a tailor from 2007 to 2011 o enjoyed working there but I needed to attend my Alterations business that was keep running by my niese very good seamstress,

Tres chic? Non! For clarity, the label does not indicate that the garment cannot be dry-cleaned, and it has been safely cleaned several times prior to this, including at this very same cleaner. This time however, the garment returned to me is not only a different color, but it has an odd texture to it, almost as if it has a residue of some sort. Look, if I had wanted to ruin my favorite sweater, I could have saved myself the cost of dry-cleaning and tossed it in the wash at home. While I won't be returning, I would certainly advise other customers to inquire about their cleaning methods before entrusting them with your favorite clothing. Because as you can see, consistency is clearly an issue.

I'm so upset and humiliated. I took in 4 bras to have mastectomy pockets added. I went as far as to strip in the lobby to show her how the pocket needed to be done. I got them 5 days later butchered. She argued for 20 min I need to just make them work and if not its my fault. She finally agreed to fix them and I left my personal bra there (since she can't take notes). That was 2 weeks ago. She keeps telling me tomorrow. ..tomorrow. ..tomorrow today she let's me know maybe next Fri at the soonest. I am upset she is refusing to do a simple alterations because she won't get paid again. It is humiliating enough strip and go to an everyday alteration place and not a specialist who understands but to be treated this way I am mortified. To be treated as a subhuman because of an already devastating issue. Do not waste your money read more

This is the fantastic place where I now get all my suits and shirts tailored. I came in with a few suit coats and slacks and expected an exceptionally long wait and a lot for the alterations... Instead I was looking my normally beautiful self in just a few weeks, and the price for the changes was literally change! It cost far less to get the repairs done professionally here than at the "men's tailoring" shop where I originally bought them! Go figure?!? The only downside is that the owner does most of the work herself and needs a break! (And she needs to raise her prices to reflect the awesome job she does!) If you are in the "oops, I've changed shape from last summer" dilemma, DON'T BUY NEW CLOTHES! Give them a remake at AA Alterations, for a whole lot less than new! read more

My mom and I have been using this establishment for about three years now for all our alterations! Being that we are on the shorter side of the scale it seems that everything we buy has to be altered in some way or another. These ladies have never failed us in being able to do last minute jobs and with great quality at that. They know their stuff, if something is not able to be altered they will not do it just to make sure your item does not get destroyed. I truly hope if you go for the first time or decide to go back to have the same service I have had for the past few years. They truly are the greatest. read more

Maritza is AMAZING and totally affordable! In the past, she has added fabric to the shoulders of a dress for my tall daughter in order to add length, and she did the same to another one this week. In addition to that, she hemmed my mom's gown, and altered and hemmed a gown for me this week, .... all UNScheduled! I was gopeful to have my apparel cut down. She did it by selflessly squeezing me in. AND WE EVEN HAD A NICE, WONDERFUL conversation. I've used AA Alterations for a bridesmaid dress and most recently for my wedding dress. Both times she's done an amazing job. My wedding dress is mermaid style so I needed to fit tighter around the thigh area. It fits perfect! Maritza is so sweet and lovely to work with. Plus she doesn't charge an arm and legg like most bridal stores do. read more
