I had a very concerning experience with this plumbing company through a home warranty claim which seems to be a pattern with this company whenever there's a home warranty claim looking at other reviews. The original service request was for a toilet leaking at the base. When the plumber Beto came out the first time, he focused on the tank running instead of properly addressing the actual complaint -- the leak at the bottom of the toilet claiming that our tenant was complaining about the noise but he having the responsibility to read the dispatch and actually look at the toilet which he clearly could've seen was leaking at the base because it wasn't bolted securely to the flange. He left without addressing anything so we had to contact the warranty company again - On the follow-up, he addressed the toilet was leaking around the base and the bolts securing the toilet had rusted away. I was on my way there to meet him with my tenant but he was at the residence for only five minutes . The proper next step would have been to pull the toilet, inspect the wax ring, bolts, and flange, and then determine what was actually needed. Instead, without pulling the toilet or inspecting the flange, the plumber usu g his amazing X-ray vision submitted an estimate stating that the flange needed to be replaced and that additional non-covered work was required to "modify" the flange, adding about $400 in out-of-pocket charges. Modifications to a flange she had never actually seen when in fact the only issue may have been too rusted bolts costing all of $1.50 in parts. When I questioned how he could possibly know the flange needed modification without removing the toilet and inspecting it, he told me he did not need to pull the toilet because he "just knew." That is not a diagnosis I can trust. A contractor should not represent hidden work as necessary without inspecting the hidden condition first, especially when that creates extra non-covered charges to the customer. Based on my experience, I would be very cautious using this company for a home warranty claim. I felt the estimate included unsupported work that had not actually been verified. I am now disputing the charge and considering filing a complaint with the California Contractors State License Board. read more

Jairo came to fix the tub in our second bathroom and was quick and efficient. His work was definitely appreciated as I wfh and barely noticed he was there read more

My home warranty assigned the leak I had to A1 Phoenix Plumbing. My bathtub downspout separated from the wall while showering, spraying water everywhere and leaked through the ceiling of the condo downstairs. They arrived an hour early and had it diagnosed, replaced, fixed, and sealed within a half hour and even cleaned the drain of my slowing bathroom sink at my request. I am saving their contact for future needs! read more

Edgar fantastic service, very professional extremely quick great job everything worked first time

I've had them over to fix my shower. The first time they came over they identified the problem of my leaky shower as a cartridge issue, the second time they went to replace the cartridge. They said they replaced the cartridge 3 times and that the leak didn't stop, so it must be internal and they would have to cut into my wall to fix it. So I waited for 2 weeks until the warranty company approved the service (in addition they walked around my shower with shows on and left it a mess, grease everywhere) Then I get a call saying the warranty company will only pay 400 and I have to pay 1000 due to fixing the shower. This is because they listed it as a "modification" which it wasn't, it was a repair (as confirmed by the 2 other plumbers I had over). So I found a new plumbing company to fix the issue, guess what!? I come to find out the cartridge for my shower was never even replaced. So I wasted 2 weeks because of them with a leaky shower, they get it dirty twice, and are liars. Don't do business with this company. Northgate Plumbing fixed it in one day thank you Nick read more

The technician came out to look into my slow drain issues. He clearly stated verbally and in writing, that my existing pipe and P-trap connected to my tub were corroded and needing to be replaced. I said OK since I'm working with my home warranty company all I pay is a service fee and they cover the cost. I soon get notification from my home warranty company that that technician is telling them that a modification to my plumbing is required. And that they do not cover modification. Of course, I'm upset because the plumber at A1 Phoenix plumbing never mentioned verbally or in the right up , any sort of modification. Nor can I imagine why there would need to be a modification to replace piping and the P-trap that currently exists. It's all basic plumbing on a single-story home with ample crawlspace. So I had my home warranty company, contact A1 Phoenix, plumbing on the three-way to clarify the meaning of this. We speak to a dispatcher who indicated that there was a modification required to replace the piping, but that's all he could say because he was only the dispatcher and we would have to speak with a technician. I ask the dispatcher are you reading the notes from the write up on the work required and he said yes. I asked do those notes indicate a modification at all and he said no but that he's not a technician so we would have to talk to the technician. So I ask him why are you stating a modification is required if you don't even know that. He agreed to have the technician and a supervisor called me back to discuss it and I'm waiting for that call. In the meantime, I need to say, for anybody looking into this company to have them do work for them. Be careful... My home warranty company agreed to have a different company come out and give me a new assessment of what's needed to correct my problem. I have five properties. I'm happy I had this experience because I know out of the hundreds of plumbing companies in my area I will never ever use this one again. But also never ever recommend this company to anyone of my friends who also own properties! ¡Sugiero que nadie use esta empresa! read more

A1 Phoenix Plumbing - This is the write up which clearly indicates a replacement of piping. Nowhere here does it indicate any required modification of any kind - Plumbing Near Me - Pittsburg, California

We have worked several time with this company for our rental property and now for our home. While some of those who have come were not very diligent this review is for Mario Gonzalez. Edgar did s great jib fixing a leaking bathroom faucet! The service was fast, efficient and professional!

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE SERVICE. They overbook appointments and cancelled last minute stating the plumber had an accident and had to go to the hospital. I rescheduled the appointment. The next time, he didn't show up after until 2 hours from the appointment time. I called the number and they said the plumber had a meeting with the manager in the morning and it's taking longer at his prior appointment so everything is running slow. This made me realize no accident happened on the prior occasion. They overbook themselves and then have to cancel someone in the day since they can't cover everything. BE AWARE. Finally, the person shows up 2 hours late and just fiddled around in the toilet tank and wasn't willing to repair anything. After some arguing, he said I will replace a flapper and that's it. He did that but that didn't fix the leak in the toilet. He submitted a false report to the insurance company stating that everything was working. read more
