Enrique was incredibly thorough and had great knowledge of the job in the end. He found nothing he felt was in need of immediate repair. I was absolutely not expecting that. Foundation repair involves a lot of digging resulting in a good deal of dirt piling up. Do it during a rainy spell, and there will be mud - lots of it. You have been warned. Avoid scheduling during the rainy season if you can. Let me start with several complaints. First, Foundation Repair should have been a bit more attentive to clean up. Finding a discarded plastic water bottle in the crawlspace maybe isn't the worst thing, but for the healthy-sized check I had to write for the work, a bit more attention to the finishing touches would not be asking too much. Likewise, for finishing touches, I was left with a significant problem. Part of the structure of my deck required removal to do the work. Foundation Repair said they'd repair the structure when done. They did so but, as I discovered after they were gone, the job was so badly executed I had to redo it on my own. Fortunately, I had the necessary tools, but at the age of 78 and working alone, this was a major undertaking. In retrospect, I should have demanded they return and do it right. Now, on to the positives. First a major shout out to Foundation Repair's Christopher Gerrans who gave me some major assistance in getting prepared for the work. He went far, far above and beyond what I expected to help me out. Foundation Repair management, do please remember this when bonus time comes around. I had a lot of trepidation about getting a bid for this work. Foundation repair is an expensive proposition. I was impressed (and relieved) when I was presented with a comprehensive three-tier set of job plan options (I ended up opting for the most expensive). My point is that Foundation Repair (specifically, Mr. Gerrans, again) did a great job up front in helping me to understand what my options were. I was quite impressed with the technology employed to shore up the house. Does it work, though? Well, if the house is still intact a half century from now, then the answer is yes. So, only time will tell if the work was effective. But it certainly looked like a solid and dependable solution. The work was done in timely fashion, and communication was good throughout. Foundation work is an expensive proposition, but I think I got my money's worth from Foundation Repair and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Be careful because lots of foundation companies will scam you, just because you will not be able to see what they did underneath your crawl space. The last foundation company came out to fix our house they made a bunch of noise for 2 weeks, said they are done and then we hired an independent inspector and confirmed they did nothing. We knew we had foundation problems for years our floors were slanted and wall cracks around three windows over the downhill side but isses have worsened over the years. We painted over some cracks but knew it was time to address the underline issue before starting a relatively large remodel. Our neighbor had golden gate foundation repair fix their crawlspace last year and they recommended them so we had them come out. We had two companies inspect the foundation so we could compare some estimates. Jonathan came over on a Saturday which was helpful and did the inspection and went over the issues with us. What he recommended made the most sense to us. The other contractor was nice but was another salesperson and we had just spent months dealing with salespeople while planning the remodel. Golden gate gave us more confidence their bid was more involved and the price was fair. And they're a local small business, which we appreciate. We did our diligence and are very pleased with our decision. We would like to thank Ashley for helping with our scheduling conflicts. Thank you to their engineer Clifford for allowing me to pick his brain a little, and for all his work with the city. Our permit went faster than we expected and I suspect Clifford played a part in that. Equally important we want to thank Kevin, Farren, and everyone who worked on the concrete part. We installed steel pier underpinnings around the downhill side of our foundation and they leveled the house over 3inches at the worst section. Those guys worked hard and didn't leave their trash around the yard. In my experience some contractors don't keep us in the loop as much as much as they should so I appreciate the updates we received throughout. The communication is absolutely horrible, if you get any at all. With repeated attempts to follow up on my project, I kept getting the same answer that they were waiting on permitting, but on two separate occasions, over two separate issues, with two separate time spans, that was incorrect and the delay was a failure to complete the correct paperwork to even submit to the city. This caused months of delays that were unnecessary. They did damage to my electrical, but only would accept responsibility when I pushed back. The work took weeks longer than originally anticipated. All of these things I can understand, but again the terrible communication made the situation so much worse than it needed to be. The technicians who performed the work were very nice and worked their butts off. They walked onto my project totally unprepared for the work involved, even though two representatives were under my house on two separate occasions and could have assessed the work needed. I could keep going, but no one reads long reviews and I am hoping to save someone the headache I went through.
