I visited this store twice in one day as the first time I didn't see exactly what I was looking…read morefor. Each time I was approached immediately. I was helped and customer service was great. I was told about a $5 membership ( 1 year ) that saved me $9 on my purchase. I did ask one gentleman if they had a particular towel and was told they did not have it but the second gentleman over heard and realized they may have what I wanted and I ended up buying that item. I pointed out a jersey I had no idea were youth only sizes and he said the adults are on the other side. And he walked away back to his other work buddies that are all doing nothing just slumped over chatting with bad looks. Life must suck especially for the owners that pay for 4 employees to run customers out if the store looking to spend money.

We can't find the receipt but we're willing to show the transaction from our bank. Again, we only wanted to exchange the size. This in no way would affect the store or a future sale for this item but now we will buy our nephew from a different store and definitely not risk buying from here again.

The store is accessible from the outside courtyard area. The associate who fetched my pick up order was very efficient and helpful. The line to get my shirt returned was long and slow. There were at least 4 visible associates on the floor but only 1 person ringing people up at cash wrap. I had about 6 customers ahead of me in line and it was a bit of a head scratcher to me why at least one more associate couldn't jump in to help the cashier some extra support. Overall I thought the merchandising was done nicely and the store felt nice and open. The newest polka flock gears were available and I also liked the varieties of accessories to ogle at during my wait in line. Unless I have another in store pick up I have to make here due to a merchandise availability, I don't anticipate returning. The laborious nature of finding parking, long wait in line, and the outdoor entrance only nature of the store makes this a no for repeat visit.

Overall they usually have a good selection, but since my favorite sports teams are considered the secondary teams in the area they usually do not carry a lot of options for me. I have never really had any issue with service, it's just hats and their have what you want or they don't. Things can sell out quick, like some of the Dodgers WS hats, but they are always good about referring you to the Lids website or helping you search at another store location.

I was on the hunt for a Dodgers World Series hat and started my search at the Montebello Mall. The employee working there was rude and definitely lacking in customer service. I was fortunate enough to grab one here at Brea and I wish I had gotten his name, but whoever opened this morning head very helpful. He helped me find the size I needed and gave me some info on another hat I was looking for. I also overheard him on the phone (another customer looking for World Series hats). He told them about store policy on the special items (no holds, first come only) but have him suggestions on how to try and score one. Not everyone has that customer service spirit, but this person definitely did. Considering the juxtaposition of my experience at the other store, it made me want to write a review. Keeping doing what you're doing, Brea!

Most of the…read moreemployees are pretty welcoming, but I was always enlightened to see the old general manager in the store since she helped us out no issue. I asked one of the workers about her and they told me that she unfortunately moved stores... even asked who her replacement was and was upset to hear that it was the new lady that wasn't welcoming at all. You could tell she wasn't enthusiastic when we walked in and basically avoided helping us get a shoe, letting some of the other workers do the work. Being BIPOC, it's always disheartening being avoided in service areas since you can't tell if it's discrimination-based or just genuine dislike for the job lol. Overall, I will most likely be traveling to a different store to avoid feeling uncomfortable and hope that things change at this one! Shout out to the normal workers though, they're awesome!
