I would give Tim and his crew 10 stars, if I could. I had a last minute move of an entire house, all by me and my daughter as my partner had to leave town due to a family emergency on her side. I explained the situation to Tim, gave him a list of items that needed to be moved. Tim replied right away with a very fair quote to move the items. Tim and his crew showed up right on time as promised, as I was very nervous since we had to move that weekend and could not afford a delay. They expertly wrapped delicate items and moved them into the truck in a very organized manner. They then followed my car to the new place, delicately wrapped the door to prevent any dings, and moved items fast but safely into the house. Tim even moved a piece of heavy furniture that was already in the bathroom (left by the previous owners) into the living room, all for free!! Having dealt with many unreliable / over-priced movers in the past, it amazes me how reliable / affordable and superb Tim and his movers are. They work so hard to move things, and they are so professional and careful, I couldn't recommend them highly enough. I will use Tim and his movers for life, as long as they are around. I contacted A Master Mover on Yelp around 10pm. I got a response right away. They were at my house about 12 hours later. All I needed was a couch carried upstairs and a couch moved to another room. Two guys showed up on time. Friendly and VERY helpful. They offered to help put the couch together for me. Made sure I was happy with it and on the way out asked if I needed anything else. I'd give less stars if I could. I used this company to move my house to storage due to the fact I closed on my house before the one I was buying was ready. I filled out the online form of everything that needed to be moved. I received a call the same day and Mike asked all the same questions I had already answered on the online form. Which is fine.. Come the day of the move.. We are talking big stuff. Washer. Dryer. Fridge. Couches. Everything. Mike gets there.. And right away Mike the OWNER starts complaining to me about how much stuff I have and how tired he is.. When he had just got there.. I didn't say a word. He complained many times before we even got to storage. Again. I didn't say a word. I was in no position to argue.. Being a female alone with a bunch of guys.. I told him ahead of time I have two units. 10x20 Once we got to storage he got loud with me that my units were 10x15.. And not everything was going to fit. Well sir. Tickle me pink because my papers tell me what size they are. Second of all.. Everything fit. Ready for this?? Once it was time to pay. He yelled at me because I was going to pay by check. My total was almost 150 more than he originally quoted me for because he says I didn't tell him about this that and this.. When I had the original form saying I did tell him. And he went over everything over the phone with me.....yet he says I didn't tell him. I didn't even give him a hard time about it coat NH more money because I was willing and able to pay it. But I was done with the day and I didn't have time to argue with a man and his four other guys as a woman... He had all the power.. But wait.. There's more..Once I moved everything into a house.. BY MYSELF because of a terrible experience with this company. I had stuff missing!!! I called them three weeks after I moved everything into my house.. They had been holding on to my glass shelves... They were never going to call me go tell me that they forgot to unload this.. I'm still missing a piece of my L shape desk.. And they swear they didn't see it.. Well.....I don't believe them. They offered no remedy so now I have to buy a whole new desk because of this crappy company and thier crappy customer service. And to add. What can I say, Tim and company deserve all the highest praises left on this page! If you are paying for your own move locally, give these guys a call or fill out the online request form and they'll get right back to you! No surprise upcharges on moving day either: the price you are quoted is the price you pay, though if you forget to include something in the online form or over the phone there will be a minor adjustment. I forget several large heavy items and a dozen boxes, and the price only increased by $30. It does help to be detailed in this regard. As for the move itself, it took 3 hours including packing, driving 7 miles, unloading, and lifting a couch (and a neighbor's) over the balcony. True professionals! read more

I hired this company for my local move. I have moved a few times in the past with not one issue. This mover showed up on our move morning as planned. This was the first mover that did not used moving blankets to protect our furniture. He only shrink plastic wrapped all our fine leather and wood furniture in the home then carried it to their home made trailer. I somehow thought they were maybe using moving blankets while placing in their trailer. It wasn't until they off loaded everything into our new home that we noticed that they had never used any blankets to protect our furniture. Once unloaded Tim kept saying he had another 2 jobs that day and took off. After we examined our furniture we noticed our leather sofa and love seat had the rich brown color scuffed of the arms threw the leather finish. We also had on piece of desk broken and scratched. We we advised the owner of the damage he denied he did it during the move. We had 3 contacts with him sending him photos and was blown off. Professional movers use blankets and wrap all your furniture in you home before taking them to their truck. This guy used not blankets to protect our furniture. read more

Best money I have ever spent on a move! Fast, efficient, and friendly at a phenomenal rate! Tim and 4 other guys showed up to move me out of a 2nd floor apartment with a 60 yd hike to their truck in late June. I have used Tim and his crew for all of my moves since 2002. Their pricing is the best in town. The guys are kind, professional and always take great care of my items. The difference between this company vs others is that Tim charges by number of items, distance traveled, 2nd floor vs first floor, etc. You're not being charged hourly which can drive up the price with other companies. His quote is firm and there's no surprises unless you ended up with a ton more boxes or forgot to include certain furniture, but even then he's super flexible. II highly recommend Master Movers, they bring plenty of helpers, they are fast and very good at preventing anything from getting scratched. They use door jam protectors which is nice to prevent damage to walls and doors. They had to get creative with my sectional since it is over sized, but they figured it out and didn't even have to take the legs off to move it out of the unit. Very impressive. Tim is hilarious, kept me laughing on move day which tends to be stressful, I appreciated that. I will use these guys again! These guys are fast, arrived on time and the move out and in to the new place which was on 3rd floor, took only and hour and a half including a 20 minute drive between the places. Impressive! Hey, remember the last time I used Tim and his crew? I do. I LOVED them. Which is why I called 'em again instead of messing around with other companies that base their pay off of time. I went to their website where I listed all the items that I would be moving, adding any additional notes in there as necessary. Tim called back with my very reasonable quote the next day. I made the appointment for the end of the month early, because everyone knows movers get booked solid at the end of the month! When I called back to make a couple adjustments, he just refigured the price and made a note. No issues at all and I didn't feel like I was being an inconvenience. Perfect. Day of the move, speed demons. The crew was polite and courteous but DAMN did they get all of it out in a half hour. I missed a couple items in my online checklist and Tim very kindly added in the costs, including a crib disassembly and reassembly. It was pretty impressive! Half an hour at the new spot and they placed everything exactly where I wanted it. These guys are great.
