A few weeks ago, after seeing all his 5-star reviews here on Yelp, I called Tim to get a GENERAL idea of how much it would cost to move the contents of our daughter's 1-bedroom apartment. To my surprise, he had me list everything we wanted to move, where from and where to, which floor was each apartment on, how many boxes, etc. Then he gave me a firm price based on the info I gave him. I liked that so much better than the other companies with their trip charges and hourly rates and other costs where you really have no idea what it's going to cost at the end. The firm total price approach meant we knew what we'd pay and that eliminated a lot of stress. No games, no gimmicks, just an honest, no-baloney price, and very reasonable, too. Like Natalie G. said in her review, "Blink and you'll miss the move." The whole thing took less than two hours, start to finish. Nothing broken or scratched, either. They put blankets over every surface that they might touch your items against. Two words of advice: BE READY. These guys move really fast, and there won't be much time to dilly-dally around finishing up your packing while they're moving stuff out (speaking from experience). In short (I guess it's too late for "short," but oh well...) -- they got there right when they said they would, moved all the stuff out of the third floor apartment, drove it way across town, and moved it all into the new upstairs apartment so fast that I thought they should have called themselves the "Tasmanian Trio" (that's not funny unless you know about the Tasmanian Devil in the cartoons, but the description really fits). Tim and his crew were fantastic. We split our move 2 weeks apart and he was excellent both times. Price was very reasonable. I had a few less boxes to move then was quoted and he knocked the price down accordingly. At first look his crew seemed very young and a little scrawny, but all of them were fast and strong as hell lifting heavy dressers and getting them down a split staircase without banging walls or furniture. Tim even rescheduled us at the last minute when my wife became very ill. About a week before our move I had to make some changes to my item list and Tim quickly gave me a new estimate and I didn't feel like it was a bother to him for making the changes. They took very good care in moving our items. His crew was always moving, never did I see them standing still and chatting with their co-workers, this I did appreciate. This moving service is outstanding. We received the very reasonable quote upfront, with no hidden charges. The customer gets a great price because they charge by the piece, not hourly. The crew called when they were on the way and arrived on time. On top of being extraordinarily respectful, the crew managed to be both careful and efficient in regards to loading our belongings. I have never used a mover before so I was pretty nervous paying someone to load my Uhaul. Tim quoted me over the phone and stuck to his price. After calling around I got a lot of 'by the hour' quotes and Tim was the only one who charged for the actual amount of items moved. He was efficient and honest. It couldn't have gone any better. Absolutely wonderful experience with this company! Tim, the owner, is great to work with and flexible. I booked the team about 2 weeks before my move and Tim was always readily available to answer my questions. I filled out the inventory sheet for my estimate and was able to make adjustments up until the second he and his team arrived. His prices are very fair compared to the competition as he charges by piece that's moved versus by the hour (Don't be intimidated by this if you are moving an entire house or lots of items, they are reasonable)! When I booked his team, I was given a timeframe to expect them on the day of my move (7-11 per my choice in options offered), but was told I could call the night before for a more narrow estimate. I called the night before and was told they would be arriving right around 7 am. The morning of my move, Tim called me at 6:45am to say he would be arriving at 7:15, talk about promptness! When I booked my move, I was told Tim and another guy would be taking care of my move. When Tim arrived, he had a team of he and 5 additional guys. The team was very friendly, professional and FAST! I had everything ready to go in my garage when they arrived to make the process as easy as possible. They had everything packed into their truck in 10 minutes and were on their way to my new place. When they arrived at my new apartment, there was a truck in the area of where moving trucks can unload and if he had to wait, it's an additional $25 per 15 minutes of waiting to unload. We were able to talk to some maintenance men and have them move their truck so Tim's moving truck could also pull in. This took about 6 minutes to coordinate and he did not charge me an additional wait fee. The team had me direct them as to exactly where I wanted everything and they placed it right where I requested. They unloaded their truck and were gone within 30 minutes of arriving at my apartment. This was a very smooth process and I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to move. My parents are planning on moving soon and after seeing how efficient this team was, they are considering using them for their entire house. Go with "A Master Mover" and you won't be disappointed! Update (January 2017) My fiancé and I moved into our home in January of 2017. After having such a great experience with A Master Mover the first time, we decided to use them for our final move into our home. Their prices are fair and they work quickly. Tim even helped us unload a few large items from our UHaul that we loaded and moved ourselves to save some money. My only (minor) complaint is that I don't think they wrap the furniture for protection enough. We wrapped a lot on our own but Tim's team didn't wrap anything. We didn't have any damage this move, but my first time using them I did have a few dings in my coffee table and side tables. Definitely not a reason to go with another (more expensive) mover but that is why we wrapped a lot on our own for this move. A Master Mover is the perfect name for Tim and his crew! I was so impressed by how nice and helpful Tim was when I called and emailed him the list of items we needed moved. I called 2 additional times to ask questions and he was so friendly and knew who I was right away. The day of the move they arrived when they said they would, it was Tim and 4 other guys. They immediately starting taking things to the truck and were in and out faster than any movers I have every used. When we got to the new place they had me direct them as to where everything goes and they had the beds and all furniture put back together in no time! All of the guys were so polite and patient with me when I couldn't remember what room some of the items were to go in. This review is long overdue! We moved the second week of October. Tim beat the price of everyone out there, PLUS there were no hidden fees. He has you make a list of what you want to take. I thought, this is going to cost me $$$, but it was actually less money. There was no extra labor charge or hourly charges that were milked. We did end up paying a little more but that is because they were doing such an efficient job, that WE added more stuff. Originally we wanted to use them just to move the big items and some heavy boxes, but they even helped us stack our full size washer and dryer and even offered to hook it up for us! They took apart the beds and set them back up as well. Just tell them if you want it a bit tighter, we had to tighten ours a bit but that was no biggie. His workers Billy, Willie, some other guy (Forgive me,I forgot his name) and Joey. They worked hard, but Joey was a BEAST! He seemed to move the fastest and was strong! He was also very friendly. All of them were respectable and did a great job moving fast. They moved my 2300 sq foot house in less than 4 hrs with 2 trips! Yes, I had a lot of furniture I think my husband is Fred Sanford of Sanford and Son reincarnated! Will I use them again? You betcha! read more

I asked another company if they could match it and they couldn't. They were so prepared and so efficient.
