I had my glass repaired 4 moths ago and was pleased with the quality of work and promptness of the technicians to repair my glass. That is where all quality stops. I still haven't received my rebate check back. I have called multiple times to be put on hold for 15 plus minutes without an option to leave a voicemail and have emailed with no response until today. Upon receiving an email response weeks after I contacted them, I was told there was a merger with another company causing issues with the rebate department and will be an additional 4-6 weeks from today until I see my rebate. That will be pushing 6 months after services. The lack of communication and poor system has left a bad taste in my mouth and I will recommend all friends to anywhere but this company. P.S. It is very unprofessional to CC a customer with other customer emails. read more

Do NOT use this company for any glass needs! I heard their advertisement on the radio and I had a crack in my windshield so I decided to call. July 11th they came and replaced my windshield within a couple weeks my rearview mirror detached from the glass and fell off while I was driving and took a huge chunk out of my windshield they came and replaced the windshield. Here it is a month later and the same exact thing happened there is a chunk missing from my windshield and my rear-view mirror is hanging down I had it scheduled today for a technician to come out and service my windshield. He did not show up he called before the scheduled appointment and made up a lie so he could cancel the appointment. Also the rebate they claim to give on the radio it took me three months to get the cash they had promised. Save yourself time and a headache and use a different company! read more

I had previously used this glass company for a windshield replacement and everything went great. So I assumed that I would get repeat service. Well, it turns out they changed their policy and you now have to apply for a rebate instead of getting your payment at the time of service. If I had known that I would have switched to one of the many other companies that offer the service. If they can't afford to do the rebates then they shouldn't advertise that they do. read more

It's been 7 months and I still have not received my rebate. I understand that they hold off on mailing out rebates bc they want to make sure that they are paid first by the insurance companies. My windshield replacement was done in July and my insurance company did not pay A&E until September. It's now mid-to-late February and I still have not received my rebate check. I've called multiple times and was finally told in early January that my check would be mailed to me on February 11th...still hasn't arrived. They don't deserve one star! This is absolutely the worst customer service organization I have ever dealt with. They are unable to keep scheduled appointments, even with a four hour window, and don't bother to call. Average wait time on hold is 20 to 30 minutes. I had to call multiple times for different reasons and experienced the same wait time. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO REPLACE YOUR WINDSHIELD!! The $120 is not enough to make up for the misery of trying to deal with them. The installer was not able to re-calibrate the Advanced Driver Assist System despite the phone rep assuring my insurance agent that they had that capability. Upon installation completion, I was given a form to sign advising me to call Custom Callibrations LLC for re calibration service. Of course, they also do not answer the phone or return calls. I am calling USAA to advise them to warn their customers AWAY from A & E Auto Glass and left a review on BBB, in addition to this review. read more

Like many others, I have been waiting since October for my $120 rebate. I have sent emails with nothing but an automated response in return. I've called and left messages with their rebate department- no call back. So here we are, almost January and NOTHING. I have USAA insurance and know that they are very much on top of their responsibilities. The service I received was ok but the follow through on their rebate and their customer service has severely damaged my opinion of this company and I plan on letting all of my friends and family know of my experience via social media. Geico customer; the shop is currently under investigation with Safelite insurance for whatever reason. A&E claims they haven't been paid for about 300 Geico jobs and Geico hasn't received any invoices because Safelite has everything frozen. It seems like an unfortunate situation that hopefully gets resolved soon. At this point I've been waiting for my rebate check for about 2-3 months now and I don't even care to receive it anymore. I've called both my insurance company and A&E and I have determined that my insurance company has my best interest in mind. Here are the reasons for my one star review: -The lady I spoke to on the phone with A&E essentially stated that if I gave a positive review for the company, that would look favorable on their end and may assist in expediting the process to receive the rebate check. -Geico informed me that A&E (using the shop 808) has been sending customers the invoice for windshield replacements that have no yet been paid for through insurance. This has NOT been my experience so far. -I was on hold for at least 30 minutes on some occasions with A&E (understandable, they are busy). When they took my phone number and told me I would receive a call back, I was not called back until literally 6 hours later. -My coworkers wife's vehicle was damaged during service. A&E has been ducking her calls. -My other coworker has not been paid a rebate either (not a Geico insurance customer). He has been waiting for two months. The service I was provided when they actually replaced the windshield was great. They were on time and did a good job. It's a shame because my brother has had very good experience with them. Anyways, in conclusion, whatever the case may be, this has been a mildly exhausting experience. I wish both sides the best of luck in resolving this matter but I'm going to just accept my free windshield replacement as a win and move on without worrying about a rebate. 6 months ago my windshield was replaced. Waited all day for the tech to get there "before 5pm" but they didn't even call and it was 5:20. So after I made multiple calls and sitting on hold with the company who kept saying before, the tech finally called at 5:30. I explained I had an appt and couldn't wait but then he showed up as we were pulling out of the driveway and insisted he had to do it. So we cancelled the appt and let him. Never even received and apology or call from the company. And still no rebate. Seems this company's adds are too big for their britches. Would not recommend. read more

My experience with this company has been horrid. I saw the ad on a billboard and thought since I need a windshield why not get that rebate they advertise. I should have just took the first bad sign as a warning not to work with them. First call was fast and friendly. Had to get my inspection through my insurance and then schedule an appointment to replace my windshield. I called to make my appointment and they put me on hold for a long period of time. I left a message and no one called me back. Finally a week later I was able to schedule my appointment. No problem with the windshield replacement. I filled out and submitted my rebate form. Waited 6 WEEKS and no rebate. Called to get the status of my rebate but no answer. Left a message but no callback. 3 MONTHS LATER still no answer and no callback on the status of my rebate. They called me again telling me they were on their way when I never had anything scheduled in the first place. I don't understand this company. I have my windshield replaced back in Oct 2019. They promise a $140 rebate after the insurance pays. The insurance paid at end of Oct. I checked with them in the end of Nov since my rebate hadn't showed up. I was told they were behind and I would have a check sent to me Jan 15th 2020. A far cry from the time frame originally promised. I still have no check to this date. I was now told they are still behind and I was given no date. This is ridiculous!! Wow I sure don't like to do bad reviews but my wife and I are so upset with A & E Auto Glass. We had a scheduled appointment two Mondays ago and they didn't show up or call us to let us know. After no response to email and two voice mails, I finally got a hold of them to schedule again. They apologized and said they would make sure we got on the schedule for this past Monday. My wife waited for hours (again) and again another no show and no contact with us to let us know they can't show. Nothing. Needless to say - we are done with A & E and will just go with another company. Here's an update, 3 1/2 hours after they said they would call back they finally did. Jay left a message with his extension. I called Monday 4/1 at 1122 and 135 left a message both times, no response. I called again Tues 4/2 at 1127 and left another message. Should have known when repair couldn't be scheduled without 3 phone calls. Had all info including insurance. Kept getting estimates for me to pay cash. Repairman was professional, prompt & friendly. Did a great job. Poor guy. I hope he gets a wonderful job with a reputable company soon. I've been hoping they would come through but not looking good. False advertising! I had my window replaced in January 2020 Allstate Insurance has paid the invoice and still waiting for my $140 rebate that has been promised for six months now. A&E used to be a great windshield company I don't know what's going on now but they will not send out rebate as promised. People see my last communication with this company in April 2020. emmaleemartin@a-eautoglass.com has 12 of my emails sent to your company you have all the information you need to send out the rebate check. Your rebate for w/o # 813012 was scheduled to be sent out on 4/23/2020. Our rebate program was temporarily paused from 3/2/2020- 5/26/2020. Any rebates scheduled on and after that date will be affected by the pause and rebates will be delayed. We do not know how this pause will affect the sending of your rebates specifically and apologize for the frustration. We are working hard to try and get this taken care of, I do apologize, We will send it out as soon as we can. This was by far the worst windshield replacement experience I have ever had. The techs that came out to replace my side windows broke the controls to adjust my side mirrors. When I took it back in to have them install the tint and fix the mirrors, they left a squeegee in my door panel causing a bulge and damaging the door panel. I made the mistake of giving them a second chance to replace the windshield again. After two days, the window tint strip across the stop started to peel and looks terrible. Once they get a hold of your contact information they will call you nonstop trying to get more money out of your insurance. All they care about is making money and not quality service. All of my interactions with this company have been terrible, possibly the worst service I have ever received. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. REMOVE ME FROM YOUR CALLING LIST. YOUR COMPANY IS GARBAGE AND WILL NEVER USE YOU AGAIN. STOP CALLING ME. read more

After giving them 3 different opportunities to complete my job, I finally canceled the claim all together today. If their completed work is even half as bad as their dispatcher's and technician's excuses, you're better off taking the chance that your damaged windshield implodes on the 101. Just close your doors already and stop wasting everyone's to Sherolyn, I do not envy your position of playing damage control for a company setting you up for failure. The promotion for cash back is not worth the hassle. Avoid this place at all costs. Had appointment at 10:30 and didn't get out of there till after 1pm!! Then they didn't replace the moulding caps on my Honda CRV correctly and they blew off. Wife took car back and they tried arguing that it wasn't their fault. They finally agreed to order them and replace them. That was in 2/20 and haven't heard anything since. Tried calling and just get put on an endless hold. Worst customer service ever. They promised they would be able to get it replaced before we went out of town, only to call us the night before to let us know that our windshield wouldn't be in until late April. Their commercials say you get paid either the $140 or $120 on the spot....sadly that wasn't the case for me. I received a piece of paper instructing me to fill out a rebate form online and when my insurance pays A&E THEN I'll get the $120 as originally promised. It says it could take up to 30 days to get the "rebate". It wouldn't be a big deal if that's what was said up front.
