So not only did it take almost 2 months to get my 120.00 check. When I finally got it, the check got returned for insufficient funds. Now it's nearly impossible to get of hold of anyone from A&E. After working with A&E's customer experience manager to resolve my previously referenced windshield issue they still fell well short of expectations and satisfaction. The end result is a poor quality of glass that was used/installed as it fails to repel the sun's heat even after ceramic tint applied. I was offered a tint strip to aid in reducing the heat felt on the steering wheel, etc. There's definitely an opportunity for better communication by A & E prior to and after installation (issues, etc.) of a windshield. If you say, you're going to use quality products that are equivalent or better than the previous windshield, then please follow through for your new or returning customers in the future. Follow up... I've never had a tint strip on the vehicle. Your tint installer only put it on to help with blocking out the heat until I can have the previous brand of glass put in. read more

My windshield was replaced in August of 2019. I completed all of the $140 rebate process promptly, and was given the typical email saying it was being processed. I waited beyond the 6-8 week waiting period, and finally emailed in February asking for a status update. I was given a canned answer that basically said that they were in a transitional stage in merging with another company, and the rebate would be processed as soon as possible. Nothing happened and no communication for 2 more months. This morning, while watching the news I saw a commercial from them offering an "instant $140 rebate". I see what they're doing here, appealing to all the folks needing money in this pandemic and chasing that business, and freeing up the rebate funds but further delaying the ones already owed. Terribly unethical! I emailed the contact from A & E today and was told the following: Your rebate for w/o # 670102 was scheduled to be sent out on 3/14/2020. Our rebate program is temporarily paused as of 3/2/2020. Any rebates scheduled on and after that date will be affected by the pause and rebates will be delayed. We do not know how this pause will affect the sending of your rebates specifically and apologize for the frustration. We are working hard to try and get this taken care of, I do apologize, We will send it out as soon as we can. You can call and speak to a manager at any time at extension 112. Unfortunately this is the only information I have available to me at this time I tried to call them today per the instructions above but was told that nobody was available to speak to me on the weekend. At this point I have made 3 follow-up attempts with A & E and have received no communication from them that have not been prompted. If the rebate program was "paused" on 3/2, and and the hundreds of others in this boat should have been proactively notified without hesitation. I can see why they're in the process of changing their name! I need to know how this is going to be made right ASAP! And plllleeeaaaase don't waste my time with a canned answer on here saying you'll look into just to show you responded. What a horrible company. I called on a Monday and they couldn't schedule me until Friday. Mind you I have a 2 foot crack along my drivers side windshield obstructing my vision but I decided I'd wait. Thursday night they called and told me the glass was out of stock and they had to reschedule for Monday between 9am-1pm. 12:15pm rolls around Monday and I decide to call and check in. 35 minutes on hold for them to tell me it's still out of stock. Really? You couldn't have called me in the morning to tell me you weren't even coming? You weren't gonna tell me at all! I had to call to find out. They did *everything* promised: 1) Quick windshield replacement (on-site) 2) $140 rebate check (mailed) Was the entire experience as seamless as I would like? Truthfully, no, but I also had a choice during the whole experience. For example, I could opt to receive a full rebate or partial depending the service location. It's based on whether you want a mobile installation ($120) or have it done in their garage ($140). There's also about a 30 day wait while your insurance clears the reimbursement to the business. It's a pretty simple process, and takes patience, but it's worth it since other autoglass shops won't give you anything back. Admittedly, reading the reviews, I was skeptical about everything. Even during the scheduling call, I waited on hold for a longer than I'd like and my suspicions continued to grow. Though, as soon as I actually talked to someone, my confidence was restored and I was treated well the whole way through. At the garage itself, the installer was really fast. He even quipped "time me," to one of his colleagues, and got me in and out quickly, with no noticeable impact to quality. After the installation, I waited the full 30 days and still hadn't received the rebate check. I gave A&E a quick call and they told me the funds were available and asked that I wait until the next week. I complied and followed up later, as requested. They told me the check was waiting at the garage so I could come pick it up or they would mail it. Though it felt like I had to shepherd them along to send the rebate, I never got the impression of foul play, and shortly after I received a legitimate $140 check in the mail. Overall, I intend to use A&E again the future for my windshield replacement and was happy with the outcome. 7 minutes ago super easy. Heard on the classic rock station about $120 check and dinner at Rodizio Grill. Called them and they said if I went to the shop it I would get a $140 check. Made the appt for the next day, they took maybe 30 mins, left with a check from Chase Bank for $140 and a Free dinner voucher to the restaurant. Then, I called the restaurant to make sure the voucher will work and they confirmed it. Then drove straight to Chase Bank and cashed in the check. If only there was a minus star ! I've waited a long time to write this review only because I was waiting to see a possible turn around in the ratings received by A&E. I check this yelp page often and think this company would need a full time employee just to respond to all the negative ratings etc etc. I have sent a text to the owner over 2 months ago but got zero response as I expected . I have used their service twice. Once paying cash for replacement of windshield of my Mercedes and once replacing my wife's windshield in her Hyundai Sonata Base Model. My wife's car was replaced through insurance . I had the Hyundai job done first . I went to their office and only waited an hour or so and back then I picked up the $140 check when I left the shop. All was good . A couple of months later I had the Mercedes glass replaced at the shop . I'd called 2 days before to make sure they'd have the glass in stock. Sure I was told. Well it took 3-4 hours to replace that glass, not cuz the job was difficult because of course they had to go get it somewhere else. If only I'd known then what I was soon to find out later . Months passed by.........then a call from my Insurance company about the job that had been done by A&E in regards to my wife's car. I'd gone through the insurance company because I had glass coverage on the vehicle . Next I knew the insurance company wanted to come to my house to inspect the job performed on the Hyundai. I set up a time for the Insurance Glass Inspector to come to my house get pictures and proceed. Something fishy was going on for sure. I was asked at the time not to post anything on social media about the visit so I didn't. A month passed by and I had yet another visit from the Insurance Inspector , this time to get an affidavit from me about A&E invoice they'd sent to the insurance company. The invoice was padded with work that hadn't been done. The invoice that was paid by my insurance company was for $1700 . Our insurance went up due to the claim for service being over $1000 , they put the claim in for $1700 and signed my name to the claim. Insurance fraud and fraudulent signing of a claim. My experience hasn't been very great overall. I had 2 windshield replacements on an ATS and Tahoe done. Both times it was a sub contractor and there were issues both times. On the ATS, the incorrect windshield model was installed. The folks asked me multiple times if I had rain sensors for wipers and I told her no multiple times. The tech installed the window and when I came to look at it I noticed the circle behind my rear view mirror. Well it just shows metal because I don't have the sensor. The work in the Tahoe was worse because they left residue all over and there is now a slight rattle in our mirror. Also, I never received my cash back offer for the second window job. The company sited they were experiencing many issues and it would be resolved. That never occurred. I know there are at 100 others that haven't received the cash back either. I will not support this business in the future and anyone should be cautious if you choose to do so. read more

Don't be fooled and give this company a chance despite their countless awful reviews like I did and don't take the money as a bride. This place is awful and any dealership will cringe when you tell them you went here. They have a sign bribing customers to leave 5 star reviews for a chance to win a TV because they know they can't get those 5 stars based on the work and experience they provide. Wish I would have listened but learned my lesson the hard way. Got to this shop at 10am for my appointment, was told it would be done in less than hour. Then I was told that they did not have the glass they needed for my car and it would be there in "5-10 minutes" and it would be done "11:20-11:30 latest". I was completely understanding and patient. At 11:45 I ask if my vehicle is almost finished only to be told, after asking 3 different people for help and having them all walk away without coming back for 10+ minutes, that the glass isn't even here after almost 2 hours. Here I was being patient and understanding thinking my car was almost finished and I could be on my way after being there for 2 hours and they have yet to even begin the job and no one said a word to me about it. I demanded my keys and my car to leave to which it was explained that the windshield on my car was taken off and thrown away and the new one isn't here yet so I'm basically stuck there. Instead of telling me that the glass was taking longer to arrive than expected and seeing what I wanted to do, they let me sit there for 2 hours without a word or consideration for my time and day. They then offered me one of their technician's vehicles to drive home and claimed they would bring my car to me "later". I was absolutely appalled that they expected me to take a strangers car and leave my car with them 40 minutes from my house and fully trust that they'd bring it to me "later". The lack of communication was absolutely awful and the complete disregard for my time and day of which 3 hours was wasted on something that should have taken 40 minutes. The glass now makes a ridiculously loud noise when I drive because they slapped it on in 5 minutes. The guy running the shop was nice and did try to make it up to me by offering a free tint on the shield and a few other things but my trust in this company and these people is ruined. I've never felt so uncomfortable and helpless with a business in my life. I'm understanding and patient with everything, but blatantly wasting 3 hours of my day and doing a bad job is my limit. Im in the process of filing a claim with my insurance that this was a awful experience and glass job and redirecting my claim to a glass shop recommended by my dealership who could not believe my experience with this place and literally cringed when I told them it was A&E auto glass, if that doesn't say it all I don't know what does. Do not go here period, call your dealership, invest some money into and get it done by the right people. The cash back is not worth this nightmare. Also do not contact me trying to save your image by offering me free movie tickets or anything else, laughable really. Had my windshield replaced on my 2019 traverse back in September 20with a guaranteed $140 rebate. First of all the windshield cracked after install and it was kind of a hassle to get them to fix it although it eventually got fixed. Then we were told the rebate would come after insurance paid them, well insurance paid and they gave us a date of when we could expect the rebate. It's now February-and still no rebate. We've gotten excuse after excuse and when we call to talk to someone about it no one answers, we've left several voicemails with no return call. Granted I don't NEED the money but if a company promises you a rebate they should pay it. Their customer service is horrible and I won't be using them again. I went with this company because they were recommended by a news station I trusted, they also had commercials on TV. My insurance paid them on 9/15/2019 and I never got the $120 rebate that was promised within 30 days of insurance payout. I have called about half a dozen times and each time I get a different story of when my check is scheduled to be mailed. I understand times are tough but if you are unable to provide payment for these rebates maybe you should stop advertising them on the media. They get two stars because I actually got a glass and the repair man was very nice and respectful. However, I just got the glass on one of my side passenger doors (small triangle glass), they failed to install adhesive and weatherstrip. There is nothing I could do through my insurance at this point because I waived my right to have insurance install through Safelite. --big mistake. If you need to replace a glass on your car please listen to your insurance company and go with their provider to ensure your glass is installed properly, this isn't worth it. If you don't need the rebate don't do it, and if you do need the rebate I feel sorry for you because you will be waiting for the rebate for 6 month or more...if you ever even get the rebate at all. I just got off the phone with a lady who promised to mail my check out by 4/12, if I don't get the check by the end of this month I will be looking into legal action or "3 ON YOUR SIDE". Stay away from this company. For starters they use sub-par materials. I had my windshield installed with in 24 hours I already had 3 rock chips in my windshield from rocks that normally wouldn't cause this. Had it installed on 5/11/2019 by 5/30/2019 it was filled with micro scratches so bad I can barely see out of the windshield when the sun comes on it. To top it off they are liars. Sherolyn called me when I posted a google review saying I hadn't seen a check. I was told the tech would bring a check with the install for $140. When the tech came it changed to $120 and to top it off I had to go to their website and register and they would send me a check when my insurance paid. It is now September 20th and I sill have not received a check even through I have been told multiple times it was in the mail. Referred them to another person not realizing what I was doing right after installed, and they're rebate check bounced and were charged all kinds of fees from their bank. Unfortunately this company has scammed so many people, I feel the need to speak up. My windshield was replaced in May 2019 and I'm still waiting on my refund check. I keep hearing they are "experiencing a slight setback in processing" and the check will be out in 4-6 weeks. I highly doubt there was ever intent to send one in the first place. We have attempted to us A&E twice now. Went thru the process of getting them approved thru my insurance carrier, which took 3 days (not A&E's fault). Once the claim was approved I scheduled to have my windshield replaced Thursday, April 26th between 9:00am and 1:00pm. Confirmed with Kevin. Well, no one showed that day. I called several times, left messages, no call back or notification. Tried again the next week with still no call back. Then, I receive a text message Saturday the 4th from Daedrie stating she was reviewing old messages and wanted to know if anyone called me back. I told her no, and she offered to set up an appointment for today between 9:00am and 1:00pm to replace the windshield. She offered an additional $20 for the inconvenience. No one showed to take care of our windshield, no response to my text messages, and no answer to their office of call back. I would not recommend A&E. Why was this not taken care of at the time of service - 3rd time this has happened between me and co workers. I would give a further explication but it is a windshield replacement. If a company can't figure how to do that then how am I to expect them to read this. IF YOU DECIDE TO HAVE THEM REPLACE A PIECE OF GLASS THEN EXPECT EXTREME INCOMPETENCE. Update: So even after escalating, this is what I am left with. No mirror on my windshield, my alarm detached, and a driver left behind. Also, I was told I should be getting instructions for the rebate, but documented no rebate on the invoice. REBATE?? My window was replaced on 9/16/2019 and i have yet to receive my rebate check like many others have stated. They state that they are going thru a merger and it will be ANOTHER 4-6 weeks to get my rebate check?? I just heard on the radio the other day your same commerical and it says nothing about not receiving rebate checks PROMPTLY!!! Plus the installer ripped the material inside the car on the edge of the window itself - so not happy with this company and will NOT return!!! read more

I'm currently on hold as I was supposed to have a technician come out today between 10am and 2pm to replace my windshield and no one ever came nor did I receive a phone call as to the anticipated arrival time of the technician. I had called this morning and tried to get through to a live person but no one answered the phone. I've literally tried multiple extensions that you can press to speak to someone and you just hear the horrible "on hold" music and nobody picks up!! This was my second attempt to use this company. I was originally scheduled to go into the shop but I had to push my appointment to a later time. When I called to ask if I could go in later no one picked up the phone. I had originally scheduled my appointment with a woman named Denise so I called and text Denise's number but she never responded. She finally sent me a text the following day telling me she had been out sick which was why nobody responded. I felt that was totally understandable but I would think A and E Auto Glass would have someone else covering to answer the phones if their receptionist is sick. So I gave them a second chance, and instead of me driving out of my way to go to their shop, I requested that a technician come to my house. Denise told me someone would come between 10 and 2 today and no one ever showed up and I never got a callback from my multiple voicemail messages. I thought this would be a legit company as I've heard multiple radio ads about it and keep hearing those ads playing currently on air. They seriously have the worst customer service and there's no point in using them as you'll never get a callback nor will anyone show up to replace your glass, LOL. Lesson learned.... don't trust the radio dj! Oh and I've taken my sweet time to write this review and no one has ever picked up the phone. Buh byeee! read more

Piss poor customer service. Scheduled a late afternoon window, no courtesy call that they would be late. Showed up 30 minutes late and then didn't have the correct windshield. No problem, scheduled for 2 days later. Again no courtesy call and they were a no show. Tried calling their office number and they hung up after several rings. Tried calling again and the phone keeps ringing. Pure garbage. Addendum: So after reading Sherolyn's attempt to save face for the company, I want to clarify a couple of things. First of all, no matter what phone troubles A&E was experiencing, that does not negate the fact that there was no courtesy call from the installer that they were going to be late on both instances. Second, an hour after the installer was supposed to show up today, he called and left a message stating that he was not able to do the install today because the company ordered the incorrect parts. Really? Two times in a row??? He also asked if he could reschedule. I'm not even going to bother and let my insurance know to cancel the claim. I don't know how this company stays in business after reading some of the other reviews on here and I don't know how they could make this right. They had their shot. read more

I was driving on the freeway and a rock flew and hit my windshield. Luckily, I was listening to a radio show "Power 98.3" and they kept advertising "A & E Auto Glass". This advertisement said that they will drive to you, fix your windshield and give you a CASH-BACK REBATE. Cool. So about a week after I called them they came out and fixed my windshield. The technicians who did it were friendly and reliable. I asked them when I would get the rebate. They told me I would get it in about a month (in October). September flew by and then October came. No check. I called them to see what was up. The person on the line said, "you should get in November". Alright, that's fine. November flew by, nothing. So I called again. The person on the line said that it would be mailed to me on December 21st...I told her that I was first told October, then November and now I'm being told it will be sent in December? She said that she doesn't know why anybody told me those dates but it's been noted that the rebate will be sent December. Okay, whatever. December flew by and then January...still...nothing... I acknowledge that mail moves slower around the holidays but I've been waiting for this rebate for a long time. So I called again. This time there was no answer. I left a voicemail and they got back to me in a timely manner. But the email I got was snotty... she wrote, "Please allow more time for it to reach you as we have always had a longer than normal post time". What?! Are you kidding me? They've been given me the run around for MONTHS. After all of this drama, I got the check on January 6th. They stayed true to their word and gave me $124 rebate. However, I would have been much happier if all the employees knew what they were talking about. The technicians should NOT have told me October. The person on the phone should NOT have told me November. The second person on the phone should have apologized (which she didn't) for this mix-up. The same person, Emmalee, should NOT have sent a passive-aggressive sounding email. So, if it weren't for all of this miscommunication I would have given them five stars because everything (except for the rebate) was in a timely manner. I am currently sitting on hold trying to figure out what is going on. I received confirmations from my insurance provider but nothing from this company. I have been waiting all day for a call from a technician and have received nothing. I can't leave a message as the machine is full. And now that I review this Yelp page I realize this is the usual experience people are getting from this company. I'm hoping to eventually get on the phone with a real person so I can simply cancel any service I have scheduled with them. Not like they were going to show up anyway. Very rude the way this company handles customer service. Their allure of $120 is NOT worth dealing with their organizational issues. You're better off going with a big name installer that has an actual reputation you would want to hire. UPDATE: After waiting on hold for 30 minutes a very rude gentleman answered asking "what I needed" and then took my name and number and said someone "may" get back to me and hung up. I am incredibly frustrated with this company and I feel beyond disrespected at this point. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY THEY WILL NOT RESPECT YOU! read more
