I spoke with Steve from Pinnacle Glass/ Auto Glass Solutions about replacing my windshield that was cracked on my 2006 GMC 4X4 Crew cab Sierra. He said that they were offering $75 back through Vendmo and a gift certificate for $100 that's good for 30+ restaurants here in the Phoenix Arizona area. I was fine with that but questioned Steve about it when my wife was reading all these 1 star reviews saying that these people will tell you anything to get your business but after changing your windshield, you can never reach them by phone to give them the information for them to come good on their promises. I should have listened to my wife. They sent out Jon their best technician according to Steve. I'm sure the guy is a nice guy but when you make the mistakes that he made, well I would hate to see what quality comes from the others. First off he shows up without a ratchet to remove the windshield wipers. So he asked my wife if he could borrow one of mine. I watched this guy through 2 of my 8 cameras surrounding my house struggle the whole time when he should have had a second guy to help him with the Glass on a lifted 4x4. I watched him pull 4 screws off each cab/ door side brace to remove the trim. So 8 screws all together. When going back together I watched him put only 2 on each side leaving the 2 screws in the middle off to save time or work. The weatherstripping covered it up anyway so it most likely I would have never noticed if it wasn't being recorded. That was the first problem. The second happened when he removed the plastic cowling under the wipers. It attaches with 4 metal clips to hold it in place. Without it water would run underneath it and it would flap in the wind at the Rear of the hood. It only had 1 clip in it on the driver's side. Passenger side was totally unclipped so it would lift up 4 inches. After getting off the phone with a lady from the company that called 2 days prior, I let her know that Steve was not answering his phone as he asked for me to do 2 days prior so he could get my vendmo information which he could just look me up by my name. So it turns out that I had to send him a nasty message from his secretary to get him to call back. When he finally called me back, He said that his best technician Jon came back and put the screws back in the side bars. Well partly true. He put one more on each side making it 3 of the 4 now present. The bottom hole on each side was missing still. Steve went off on me trying to tell me that I was wrong about the cowling and being a 2006 that it was so dry rotted by the sun that clips would not hold it down tight. I told him that my truck has been in the garage for the past 24 years and that I'm lucky to drive it twice a month less than 40 miles. I do my own maintenance on it and know what condition it was in. He still wanted to argue that I was wrong for the next 25 minutes. Without the other 3 clips, the cowling was very loose and would eventually fall off from vibration. I found a second clip on my driveway that was dropped so they were definitely there before the job was started. He said that his technician took pictures of before and after but nowhere on the video was that seen. I gave him a chance ( 3 days) to make things right from him trying to lie to me being dishonest and very persistent in his lies. This is a company going by different names that you should totally avoid. Don't trust a filthy word that comes out of their mouths. I will post the pictures and video and you can decide for yourselves if this is a reputable company that you want to chance your vehicles with. I'm grateful that I have cameras all around my house as well as 4 of my neighbors that we record everything that day. I will say that the guys at Safelite auto glass replaced one of Mt other vehicles windshield days before these yahoo's came out and. These were honest true professionals that did the job perfectly not leaving parts loose or broken like Pinnicle glass did. Pinnicle glass cost me more money having to go out and buy parts to replace what they lost and broke off. UPDATE: IF YOU THINK THAT YOU WILL EVER GET ANYTHING THIS COMPANY SAYS THEY WILL GIVE YOU FOR THEM TO REPLACE YOUR WINDSHIELD, THINK AGAIN. The only thing you will get is a piss poor half ass job. With this rain, it was it's first time out in it and guess what? I have a 3 inch area on the passenger side top leaking water bad. I was told that their best technician was doing the job. Hate to see their worst technicians work. Now I need to call the insurance company back to get another company to do the job right. If you still decide to use this company after reading this, then you deserve all the issues these guys cause.
