A-1 Self Storage on Commonwealth in Fullerton has the most spectacular customer service. They have gone above and beyond to assist me, educate me, and personalize my experience several times. I have had an incredibly difficult time with my account and the manager "Dania" has made many efforts to help me by sending me very friendly reminders. I've used this storage unit for several months now and am very impressed by the management there. I have had many late payments and the management has sent me many friendly educating reminders of the next payment process, which have helped me tremendously. One of Dania's most important skills is her ability to effectively communicate. Over the months, this ability has been very useful for myself and has helped alleviate several problems which arose. One of the postitives from these past months has been how Dania has cooperated through the difficult miscommunications. Dania has demonstrated a willingness to work with myself and provided an excellent example of how cooperation can yield results. Over the past months, Dania's attention to customer satisfaction has been extraordinary. Dania has worked with me until the problems are resolved and often goes an extra step to help educate me on the payment processes completely surprising me to full customer satisfaction. One of my favorite parts of my experience is the candy at the front desk...however, there are times when they are out of chocolate. This I cannot stress enough, when they do have chocolate, the full customer service experience is fulfilled. The team at A-1 Self Storage has set very high expectations and works with their customers to meet these expectations, which are met time and time again. From the wonderful person who answered my call from A 1's 800 number, to Mary who worked with me last October to secure my unit ... 'n (Candy!) ... with cheerfully-cute decor for all the major holidays ...BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY... all the work ..from the TOP DOWN !!!! done on a daily basis to keep this site maintained in spite of a lot o' messy people .Yes, I am writing specifically here about Melissa. Fullerton's Manager. She's out there early every morn with all the tools of the cleaning trade, as she patrol's "the perimeter" with a watchful eye. I am so grateful to Melissa's help last Sunday. I was in such a hurry to catch my buses in order to get to church, that I forgot to put on my unit's lock. (Which are awesome by the way ... in how they work.) Melissa passed by, who noticed I had no lock on my "locker"! Since she not only knows me by sight... my schedule as well as my name AND MY UNIT NUMBER (how does she do that???) ... she did the prudent thing. She put an A 1 lock on it, after trying to contact me by phone. I said "trying" because I just replaced my old phone that was taken. I hadn't updated A 1 FULLERTON yet, it was so new!!! So she couldn't reach me. But my things were safe and sound, thanks to her!!! She knew that I wouldn't be back until late SUNDAY, after their office closes at 5 PM. SO THANKS TO THE MANAGER ... To whom it may concern please bear with me I have retrograde amnesia and if I edit this I will probably forget what it is I want to relay. I am a current tenant, in A bldg. They are always readily available to help me. whether it's a reminding me by phone that my rent is due so as to not incur a late payment. And this they've done throughout the years on a monthly basis. Customer service is excellent. always greeted with a warm smile. When I needed to rent additional units Dania has always been the sweetheart in holding Brittni has taken the time to help me with syncing my cell phone and tablet to notify me of upcoming rent due :) Technology being what it is today has afforded me the liberty of not having to be dependent on others for reminders. Lastly when I am greeted by Melissa she's always been a pleasure! As well as the facility is always clean and well kept, inside and out of the building! This place is awesome. Absolutely a fucking joy to do business with. If you're looking for a place to where you don't have to run into many blacks, come here. The front office is amazing. The Hispanics that run this front office, these are the Hispanic immigrants that we should let over and come into our country and work. They're very docile and they know their place. Especially Jesus. I asked Jesus to get rid of this black person on the property that smell like weed. And within five minutes Jesus with his little cute South American accent got on the phone and called the police and had the black guy arrested immediately. Stupid nigger. I love this place. I been using this place for many years now. Although there are storage facilities closer to my area, I rather drive a little more to rent and use this place. The staff is always professional and courteous and I never had any issues during the four plus years I been with them. When I am there, I usually see Brittany if I ever have any questions. Brittany always offers exceptional customer service. What I really like is that they rent month to month according to the contract fees without the hidden or extra fees. The place is very secure, clean and getting in and out is great. They are open seven days and it is one of the best storage facilities I utilized. So if you are looking for a great storage place, I highly recommend this facility. read more

I have used 5 different storage facilities, and this one is the best i have been in. These are some of the perks. 2 very professional directors, only 2 stories so the middle story doesn't get hot and stuffy, free cold drinking water, free good coffee for the morning, free fruit to snack on, and the smallest 5' by 8' top floor units are only $50.00 a month. Very clean facility and not hot or stuffy inside the building. The long length of the lot keeps the traffic light. not once was it crowded when I was there, and I was there 2 times a week. You cant go wrong with this one. Oh and they have open auctions, and electronics recycling. Referrals earn you $20.00. read more

Warning: they give you a free lock if you leave them a positive Yelp review which might skew their overall score. Also the $53 per month price for a 5 x 5 unit I paid in June is only for the first three months. After that it would've became $92. That being said I enjoyed the 3 months I needed them. The building my personal unit was in was always clean and the front desk was pretty professional. You are allowed access to your unit until 10 pm which is later than most other places. They also offer a dolly you can use during front desk hours but you must give them your driver's license. Would recommend if you're in the area. read more

I have called several Storage places near Fullerton/Buena Park and this place has the BEST customer service! I wasn't sure what size storage I would need and Dania quoted me 2 different sizes and told me to stop by during office hours to check out the 2 units. I came by Saturday with my mom. As soon as I got there, she greeted me and showed me 2 storage units which were both super clean. I decided on the size and before I signed all the paperwork she went over everything with me and also made sure the gate code worked.
