Decor and layout is the same as Bangkok Noodles (the previous restaurant) and the food was good, BUT the wait time for our food was ridiculously long! Our order took a little over an hour to fulfill, my little one was starving! I've ordered through yelp many times and yes it states the wait time could be between 35 to 50 min, but from other experiences, they usually get it done under 20-30 mins. The "status" on the app said it should have been ready by 5:35 (placed at 4:45). We got there around 5:30 and didn't get our food until 5:55... I'm sorry, that's just too long of a wait time. Pad Thai: I agree with another yelper, it did have a "ketchupy" taste to it, but it tasted ok. Presentation was nice. Drunken noodles: has a nice kick to it Larb gai: generous portion and tasty. Had a nice balance of flavor Moo ping: portion could be a little more or price could be a little less for the four little sticks of meat and a tiny bag of sticky rice ($10) Chicken basil: it was good, but nothing to go crazy for So if you want to try them and planning on taking it to go, order at least an hour and 10 min in advance. The food was good, but not worth waiting over an hour for. We won't be going back. read more

This is my one of my two favorite Thai restaurants in the area. T.H.A.I at Shirlington is the other. Very tasty, good portions and fresh ingredients. Order ahead for takeout and delivery as waits can be a little longer. Well worth it though. read more

One of the best Thai restaurants in the DC area. Don't let the location or surrounding area fool you...this restaurant is serving up quality food with top-notch ingredients. It is also noted that the owner and servers are excellent in terms of customer service. For those that are sensitive to spice, heed the spice level warnings on the menu. As this restaurant is serving up both American-style and authentic Thai food, some of the dishes can be quite spicy. That being said, the flavor is extraordinary and I wouldn't want them to change a thing. read more

I think this a relatively new Thai spot. There were only a few people dining in. Also, no alcohol, wine, or beer yet...they are currently going through the licensing process and should be serving "happy" drinks in about 3 months(I can't wait!). I'm slowly getting into Thai food so the option to use a "picture" menu is a HUGE plus that I haven't seen anywhere this far. Customer service is great! The food was GREAT! I'm not to big on spicy food but they were able to accommodate my desire for a normally super spicy dish (major cool points). The space is a nice small to medium spot and plenty of parking (free). The bathrooms are ALL THE WAY in the back... but was clean. Overall, I would DEFINITELY go back and recommend this place for solo, date night, familydining, and group of friends that love Thai or trying it for the first time. read more

Pad Thai has never been the same since I tried theirs. The service is excellent, and the food is even better. One of my top recommended restos. read more

Updating my review to give 9 Pad Thai 5 stars! We've been loyal customers for years and their customer service has been so kind -- especially from the owner -- and their food is consistently delicious. We've been supporting them by ordering take-out during the pandemic, and the food is just as delicious as when dining in. Our favorite Thai place in Springfield! read more

The place was empty on a cold Sunday night, but the food was wonderful and the service was great. I highly recommend the 9PadThai. The Pad Thai comes wrapped in an egg was the best Pad Thai I've ever had. read more

Sadly, we used to be fans of this restaurant for many years but we can no longer recommended them. Last night my wife placed a phone order for 2 shrimp pad thais. They warned us it would take 40 minutes before we could pick up our order, but we said no problem. We showed up at the restaurant an hour later and saw about 8 other folks waiting to pick up their phone orders. The place was horribly understaffed with only one lady managing the phone, processing orders and waiting on tables. I'm guessing they only had one or two cooks in the back as the food was slow coming out of the kitchen. After another 5-10 minutes, the lady finally asked if she could help me. I asked for my order and she looked all over the place but couldn't find it. GRRRRR.... So we left very upset and headed for a fast-food alternative because we were hungry. While on the road, the lady called back and said she got "confused" and found our order. We went back and picked up order only to discover their dinners are now about 1/3 to 1/2 smaller than they used to be. So in other word, we spent over $30 for two lunch-size servings of pad thai. We were dumbfounded. We took our food, left for home and vowed never to go back. read more

Wish I would've taken a picture of my food - I got the pork wonton soup for lunch and it was soo good! I got carry out but it was still hot and fresh when I got back to work to eat it. My first time getting food from here but I'll definitely be back. read more

The food is absolutely amazing. The staff is attentive and fast. The service, restaurant, and flavors of the food are wonderful. We will definitely be back. Thank you! Eva P. read more

Had carry-out here and it was... meh. Really not impressive. Perhaps if you eat in it's better, but both dishes we ordered were quite bland. Wouldn't go again. read more

Came here on New Years with my friends. I ordered the Tum Yum soup. It doesn't take much for me to not like Thai food I just didn't like it. My friends thought their dishes were just ok as well. The staff was very friendly though! read more

Hands down the best Thai food in the Springfield area! You will not be disappointed! I even called the restaurant to phrase them for their delicious food! I got their 9padthai with chicken-must get!, Siam fried rice- must get/has a unique and flavorful taste, Panang chicken, kapow chicken, and papaya salad. I'm coming back again! Thank you for an amazing lunch! read more

I loved my experience at 9 Padthai today. Aum is very sweet and welcoming! The food is delicious and service is great overall. I was surprised at the fact that I was the only customer there on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered the fried calamari as my appetizer, and it was exquisite - fresh, and very tasty. For my entre I ordered beef pad Thai, and it was delicious! I will definitely be back the next time I'm craving Thai food. read more

This location used to be known as Bangkok Noodle which we have tried but not impressed. Came back today and learned this is under new ownership and management, which is why the menu looked different and the food tasted better. Just a warning to those who are sensitive to spicy foods, make sure to remind the waitress and to pay attention to how they listed the spiciest level in the menu; a level 1 felt like level 3 to us . We loved the seafood dishes we had, very tasty! We will definitely come back for more and will take pics for sure. read more

9 Pad Thai - Thai Near Me - Springfield, Virginia

Very good drunken noodles, though if not into spice ask for a mild version because it is pretty spicy (as menu indicates). The pad thai is also quite good. At first I was skeptical because the dinner size, as compared to typical American dinner portions, didn't seem as big at first, I have yet to finish a dinner entree making for some nice leftovers. The fired wonton appetizer are addicting too. Service to pick up is prompt and following all covid protocols. Recommended. read more

Takeout was good, not great- Take it in stride, Nice interior decorations - would recommend dine in for sure. Nice, attentive staff.

Great food, great friendly service! My new favorite Thai spot. I love that they have 2 menus, one with pictures one classic menu-really helps identifying what dish one might prefer. read more

I come here all the time and love the food and service. They have a full menu, not just pad Thai, but my wife really loves their pad thai.

9 Pad Thai is authentic and awesome. Try their signature dish or drunken noodle. All of their food is tasty!

The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because it's my first time here. I got the basil shrimp and hubby got the crispy duck - which, by the way, puts Yindee Thai's crispy duck to total shame. We started with the mussels. Not a big fan of their version - but that's on me because I just prefer the Belgian style of mussels. Both of our main dishes were very tasty, with a good 'kick' of heat - not the dumbed-down-for-Americans kind of heat, either. We'll very likely come back here. read more

Our family loves this place. We come regularly to this place all the way from Gaithersburg, MD. Husband and wife owner are very nice and worked very hard at the kitchen to ensure all food coming from the kitchen has the perfect taste. All of the dishes I tried tasted very delicious. Will be visiting again soon once seating is allowed. read more

This is one of the cleanest Thai place I have been to (in and around Springfield - Alexandria area). Till date Thai Ghang Waan has been our usual but today we wanted to try another option. Their food for us was as good as Thai Ghang Waan so now might be doing these 2 places alternately as we really like Thai food. The server was friendly and cheerful. She volunteered to box the left over curry and gave us free rice too. read more

Very pleasant. I have never walked in and not felt welcomed. The food is very good. They have both a regular menu and a picture menu if you are unsure as to how certain things actually look. I reccomend at anytime of day but especially lunch. read more

Probably the best Pad Thai I've had, really well thought out and the Shrimps were jumbo! Reallly reallllly good, ya gotta try it!

Awesome Thai food. Exquisite taste and flavorful! Not too hot! Great appetizers and main dishes. Mango and sticky rice desert was amazing! read more

This spot is absolutely amazing. There is a picture menu that corresponds to the normal menu so that you can view what the dishes look like. The pictures aren't staged ones either so you know it's legit and what you order is what you will get. We came here for the first time and got the mooping meat stick appetizers. I would highly recommend them. Usually when we order it's been very dry but the ones from here were succulent and took me back to my time in Thailand. We also got the drunken noodles with beef. Boy was it spicy, but absolutely delicious. I would get it again, but probably ask for medium spice next time. We also got the Siam fried rice. It turned out pink and tasted sweet. Super interesting and it paired amazingly with the drunken noodles because it helped with the spiciness of the drunken noodles as well as provide a sweetness to the saltiness of the noodles. In general, this place actually has the burn taste in their food that you expect only from a wok and cooks their meat very well. Would go out of my way to eat here in the future. Definitely top 3 Thai places that I have eaten at in the Northern Virginia NOVA area read more

9 Pad Thai - Beef Drunken Noodles - Thai Near Me - Springfield, Virginia

Just moved to Alexandria with my girlfriend, and we used to go to a restaurant in San Diego called Issara Thai religiously. We swore up and down it was the best Thai we've ever had. But this place was a solid tie (no pun intended). It's really heartwarming to have a place that reminds me so much of home. It's much more unique, social, and friendly here. I mean yeah, they don't have the harbor view we were so spoiled with, but they absolutely kill it in every other way. 13/10 read more

Best Thai food in the area, they have my favorite Crispy Duck Basil, breaded and fried like it should be unlike many other places. Their drunken noodles are also very delicious, along with the mango sticky rice. read more

I was looking for satay as I haven't had some for a long time. I noticed a number of people gave their drunken noodles a good review so I got that too. The chicken satay was good. The chicken was nicely cooked and not dry. But since I got mine to go, I discovered I wanted more peanut sauce after the first two sticks. Ask for more if you order. I ordered beef drunken noodles and it was excellent The heat was just right - enough to warm the lips but not so much your mouth is on fire. It was excellent the next day as leftovers. Next time I'm definitely going to get their Pad Thai as it looked wonderful. read more

The best Thai food. My favorite restaurant. If you can eat spicy, the food is very spicy.

Such a good family owner restaurant! This place has such good food and really good customer service. Def would recommend this place.

Good place, service is quick. Usually go with the spicy dishes like drunken noodle, papaya salad, curry, or kapow.

Everything was absolutely delicious! Great service and generous portions too; definitely will return.

Consistently great food. Try the 9pad Thai - it's delightful. Take out orders are always quick too, best Thai place on the area

Great Thai food. Tried the yellow curry and it was fantastic. Would recommend for the Thai lover read more

Should be a 4.5 rating. I wandered in at 6 p.m. on a Friday night and was immediately greeted by a smiling staff member. I ordered the 9padthai house special and I was not disappointed. Beautiful presentation in a thin egg crepe and great flavor. A generous portion that I couldn't finish. Did I mention that the staff smiles? Well worth the visit and I can't wait to go back. read more

9 Pad Thai - Thai Near Me - Springfield, Virginia

This is my favorite asian restaurant in the Springfield-Annandale Asian food circle which should say a lot!! The amount of flavor they pack into their little containers amazes me. I have tried a bunch of other Thai places around me but they always disappoint now that I've been here. I love the Pad Kaprow with beef or chicken but will try anything. Fair warning spicy means spicy. I have never dined in so I cannot speak to their service. Try it!!! read more
