Vietnamese coffee with HELLA FOAM no coffee
Sherman L.

I never thought about writing a review for 85 because the experience is pretty standard. You choose buns on a tray, you pay, order drinks at counter or self serve kiosk, done. But 85... what is this monstrosity??? I ordered a Vietnamese coffee. I didn't ask for 25% off 75% foam.

Food: (5/5) Love their milk teas here and pastries. My favorite pastry is definitely their garlic cheese bread. It's so savory and hits the spot. I am a patron of 85 degrees easily because of their affordable and quality products. I have to pick up a Jasmine Green Milk Tea and Garlic Cheese bread every time I visit. 85 degrees remains the most affordable boba shop to this day in my opinion. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had a wide selection of their pastries left despite it being close to closing time. Service: (5/5) I came near closing time but despite the fact, Penny, the manager, was still very friendly and helpful! She explained that the kiosk was a bit slower due to the rain, and I really appreciated her patience and upfront communication. Penny and the other staff members were incredibly kind. I noticed that they made my drink incorrectly since it came out a darker shade than I've gotten before and they offered to remake it with no complaints despite them already being closed which made my day. Ambiance: (5/5) Store was very spacious and love how it is conveniently located at the front of the mall so you can't miss it!

I love their taro bread at 85 bakery! Be aware of the wait times if you order a drink though. There was only 2 people making drinks on a Saturday and it took about 20+ minutes to get our drink.

Taro Lavender Latte HOT MEDIUM

Everything was fresh and flaky. Better than expected. My latte was a little bit too sweet for me but the cashier did ask if I wanted it with sugar. Next time I'll decline. The Mochi Egg Tarts had just came out the oven. Cashier was friendly. Would be nice for inside seating but they only had outdoor seating when I was there. I went in on a Sunday about 9am. My favorite was definitely the Coconut Streusel. It was like a flaky croissant with a coconut filling (no shreds of coconut).

We're back! It is a staple, and we keep coming back. It is reliable. They have good bread - soft and chewy, and it doesn't just get stuck in a rock-like state. Ohh, pro tip: if you join and obtain their free membership, then there are perks and deals! It's pretty good since we go often. Their drinks are also priced well. They also have seasonal breads and pastries like this cute pumpkin one - I'm guessing for a limited time!

I love 85! They a great selection of breads and pastries for a reasonable and filling price. You really can't go wrong in choosing, but my favorites are the raisin twist bun, milk bread, and brioche bun. So fluffy and soft! They also have a wide variety of cakes to choose from. There are definitely better places to get cakes in the city, but 85 is a consistent and reliable option. Drinks also fall along the same lines. They're not bad, but not great. Better places exist, but will satisfy the cravings.

Conveniently located, outside seating area and inexpensive. The croissants were more like a twice baked croissant, not sure if they would have had the capability to heat them-they didn't offer and we didn't ask. The drip coffee was great!

Same as sheng kee different name at the shopping mall fun ..many fresh Asian pastries ..smoothies matcha berry sweet ..newer at the mall ..first time today with my mom #3222

85 coffee. When you hit customized. There is no option for ice and sugar level. This taste like McDonald's 99 cent coffee

Love Taro so I had to get me a Marble Taro bun. It's only $3.70 compared to other baked goods this is really good value. It's pretty hefty, dense, filled with lots of taro paste. Great with tea or coffee. So give it a try!

Mochi Egg Tarts

Holy these Michi Egg tarts are incredible! They sprinkle sugar and maple syrup over it which caramelizes and makes it irresistible! They pack 2 in a bag!

Kind workers! Lots of variety to choose from, convenient. All bakeries are so good. Suitable for all ages. Tiny store but few seats outside or sit inside the mall.

For a Wednesday afternoon and with school already started, this place was packed to the max. We got our favorites.

So I do a quick search on YELP! , of course and up comes Artly Coffee - I'm up for trying a different place. It's 5:30 and the sun that was filtering thru the high clouds when I went to TJ's is gone and it's a high wall of grey - the marine layer has moved in - looks like it will sink soon - so the reviews/ info on yELP sez: download the app and get your first drink for free - I download the app - tried signing up with a google account - which the app (artly coffee) says will work but it doesn't- ugh. After a gew more back & forth games it finally accepts my google long in. So go for a hot coffee in the menu and all there is are variations on an espresso. Now espresso are a fine way to drink a bit of coffee but it's only 2oz! The menu seems to indicate the biggest hot coffee I can get is a double espresso - 4oz - when my mind is more like a nice dark roast cup of 12oz of coffee + a shot if espresso - maybe two shots - a bit of cream and some vanilla syrup to give an extra layer of flavor - so no a double espresso isn't enough - AND the promised first coffee if you download and order on the ap is no where to be found - what the heck - I'm done - I'm going to Starbucks so I can get a full cup of coffee. Service is no good - and can't comment on the ambience since the app frustrated my desire to go there . Yeah. I'm not totally turned off to it. Maybe some other time. I'll try it cause I do like espresso but not today.

My friends and I came from Texas and were recommended to try this location at Stonestown. I actually tried it when I visited SF back in 2024, so I was excited to come back again after two years. Unfortunately, I feel like the quality has gone down a little. The matcha was really astringent and didn't taste that good this time, and the banana flavor tasted very artificial. The service was definitely the best part though. The guy working there was really nice, and the Asian girl with red hair was super friendly and helpful. She explained the different lattes to us and recommended the black sesame latte, which was actually really good very nutty and not too sweet. She also gave us FIVE ice cream samples, like yo my friends were still downstairs and I just asked if they could try some too, and she happily gave us a bunch to bring to them. Such nice service! Overall: ambience 3/5, food/drinks 2/5, but service 5/5. The staff really saved the experience for us.

My friend got his cold brew, but I kept waiting while people who ordered after me got their drinks. I finally asked the barista about mine, and she said it was coming up. I waited AGAIN... and still nothing. When I finally asked if they were going to make it or refund me, I got excuses about hot drinks and mobile orders. I use mobile ordering all the time--I know how it works. The problem was simply that they forgot my order. Then the manager came over, but instead of apologizing and fixing the situation, I got even more excuses. Mistakes happen, but good customer service is about acknowledging it and apologizing. Definitely needs better training at this location. I'll be going to the Sloat location from now on. Should've just gotten Heytea!
