I love the variety of restaurants opening up in this area and 7Friday Sushi is definitely here to stay! Vinh, shop owner, is very friendly and customer service is great! You can order from the register, pick up one of the plentiful options from the fridge, or online ahead. Can't go wrong! There's plenty of options. Not a sushi lover? They also have non fish options! Having been here a few times I've ordered a few different items: Breakfast - Musubi sushi, Musubi bao - both excellent! The bao bread is perfect to the taste. Sushi - spicy salmon, salmon lover combo, tuna lover combo, all excellent and freshly made. Brisket bao - also great! Meat was moist and tasty - especially with the great tasting bao. Portion and pricing is great - especially for these times! Will be back again, again, and again. read more

7Friday Sushi - Salmon Lover Combo + Samurai Combo - Sushi Bars Near Me - Cypress, Texas

I was totally disappointed! The staff were very cheerful n moving as fast as they could. After 15 min- I thought they were working on my order but I was wrong- they said my order was ready n only half was done- she asked if I wanted sushi which was ready done earlier n in frig ? No, I would like a fresh roll. The presentation was sloppy, taste was warm outside n cold inside, n horrible. Would not recommend. After tasting two pieces i threw it away. I ordered the triple combo. read more

7Friday always kills it. This was the spread for my daughter's 19th birthday. Told them what flavors she likes and let them take it from there. The bridge was a great presentation and they added a number of off menu items based on what she likes. Everything was executed to perfection and was a perfect birthday dinner. Whether is a quick lunch or catering a party, fish is always super fresh with great flavors and unbeatable customer Service. Thank y'all for making it a perfect birthday for her! read more

Absolutely delicious sushi and purple sweet potato croquettes! I've had the sushi here many times before, but first time I tried the purple sweet potato croquettes. It completely blew me away. The outside is perfectly crispy and golden, while the inside is soft, creamy, and just the right amount of sweet. The natural flavor of the purple sweet potato really shines through--earthy, rich, and satisfying. They're not only tasty but also beautiful to look at, with that vibrant purple color that makes them stand out on any plate. Perfect as a snack, appetizer, or even a light meal. I'll definitely be ordering them again! read more

This place is a hidden gem. If you want sushi on the go this is where you want to go not inside of Kroger. They will make anything you want or you can pick what they have made that day. The staff is friendly and always willing to answer questions as well as very patient. read more

This is nothing more than Kroger style sushi. Absolutely unacceptable and lacking in any sort of skill. Salmon had no marbling and smelled off. Advertised images remind me of something you'd see in a Ghost Kitchen menu, it looks appetizing but reality is much different. Some of the containers had price tags on them. Again like grocery store sushi. Terrible. Let's face it folks, you will NOT find good sushi in the suburbs. Skilled chefs don't want to drive all the way out here for the Chili's crowd. I for one am done trying to find a silver lining out here. read more

This is a to-go sushi spot, but the quality and freshness is way beyond your typical supermarket sushi. We don't live close, but still make the drive to get sushi every so often here. We've met the owner and he is very friendly, so that is also a plus! Some of our favorites are the salmon lover combo, scallop roll, dragon eye, and Caribbean roll. You can either pick from inside their pre-made section or order fresh. They also do large party orders! read more

Just visited this local sushi pick up store close by to my house and I have to say, customer service and food is just a 10/10! The owner Vinh was making some rolls when I walked in and his vibe was great, gave me the run down on the place and made all of my rolls fresh and even customized it to my liking. This place deserves more love, I'm a big sushi lover and this hits the spot for me every time, especially in Cypress! Great price and quality. Did I mention how fast the service was if you needed something made fresh? Overall, food is great, service is amazing. Quick and easy. Wishing the best for this place, the owner seems so genuine in wanting to serve great quality food while making sure the customers are satisfied as well! read more

7Friday Sushi - Caribbean Roll cucumber style and Salmon Nigiri - Sushi Bars Near Me - Cypress, Texas

I love this place. The quality and freshness of the fish cannot be matched. I cannot think of a place within a 20 mile radius with the quality of their food. They're also branded as a "To-go" sushi spot and have a lot of to-go options. One would think they have sushi on par with HEB or Kroger's to-go sushi... But that can't be farther from the truth. Apart from the food, the service is the real reason I'm giving this place 5/5 and I'm sure the reason many other people are too. I came in with my girlfriend yesterday and the customer service experience was unmatched. The owner was very attentive to our preferences of toppings and offered to make everything on the menu fresh. While we were in the restaurant he even gave us a free sample. The owner's customer centric approach to this restaurant is what really attracted me this quaint To-go sushi spot. I wouldn't be surprised if he had a long list of locals that routinely get sushi here. It's amazing how the combination of food and human connection fuels the business. What a great affordable takeaway spot! They had a ton of options available and were extremely friendly and helpful with letting us know everything they are able to prepare fresh as well. We opted for the premade but the quality was really fresh. The chefs special was our favorite and the coconut shrimp roll was unique but delicious! They also gave us some free freshly cooked gyoza which were yummy! The people who work here are so kind and welcoming, we will definitely be back next time we're in town! read more

I wished I lived closer! Yesterday we went for our first time, I've heard many rave reviews and wanted to try it out since we were passing by the area. When we came in, we were welcomed by the owner and he explained the whole process even offering to make rolls fresh for us! We tried the Bang Bang shrimp roll, a scallop roll, and my ultimate favorite... the sea trio bao! So much flavor, fish is fresh, and you can tell the owner really cares about his business! After we came in, he had several regulars and they were chatting up with him which I think is so cool and such a green flag. He even came to chat a little bit with us! Can't wait to pass by again, till then support your local small business! Especially this one! read more

I am so excited to share this local sushi spot in Cypress! They offer so many things including raw and cooked sushi options, catering, dim sum, and bao sandwiches! If there is a sushi roll you like, you can let them know and they can recreate it. The owner is very friendly and helpful and you can tell he treats his team very well because everyone there is happy and smiling. He takes a lot of pride in his business and you can tell he really loves what he does! I've picked up sushi and dim sum from here a few times and it never disappoints. 7Friday Sushi - a variety of sushi - Sushi Bars Near Me - Cypress, Texas

I have visited 4 times in 2 weeks! I'm. In. Love. Starting with the greeting by the staff - they are very welcoming soon as you walk thru the door, ready to ensure you leave happy and full! I love that they have so many rolls made to grab & go, so if you're in a hurry, it saves a great amount of time. However, they are ready to make any roll custom if needed. They pride themselves in being a fresh and quick option- walk in, call ahead, deliver or drive thru options available. HEADS UP! This is a grab and go spot, so aside from the small window bar that serves as more of a waiting area than a dine in area, you're not dining in here- so do not plan on meeting friends here for a bite. Bonus tip: they are well known for their party trays so order ahead if you need something special! I can't speak highly enough about their level of over and beyond service ! It's especially rare when a restaurant has such high volume of to go orders, so big kuddos to them for maintaining that exceptional service model despite heavy foot traffic! There are quite a few places in the area serving same cuisine but I continue to make this my go to spot now for their consistency and freshness. Definitely want to make a stop in when in the area! Bonus Tip: order the fresh spring rolls and peanut sauce! No one has them beat in this area on taste! read more

I ordered this with low expectations and was thoroughly impressed. What a good concept! This is more of a grab and go because the place is not super big, but they do offer really limited seatings. But the sushi here is way better than the grocery kind, trust me. Once you walk in you see this refrigerated self full of already made sushi. There's all kinds from sushi rolls, nigiri, poke bowl, tartare, spring rolls, sushi burritos...even if you don't see something on their menu they are happy to custom make anything you want as long as they have the ingredients. I saw there was seating left so my daughter and I picked up a few sushi to try out. I had the tartare and some nigiri. The fish is really fresh, you can tell the difference because of the way it melts in your mouth and the marbling of the salmon. My daughter is picky about her rolls and doesn't eat raw fish, so we asked them to make her a cucumber roll with 2 massago sushi pieces. They charged me pretty cheaply too for these custom orders because if I had went to a sushi restaurant, they would have definitely charged me a lot more! The owner was very nice and came out from behind the counter and asked us how we are enjoying everything. He even offered my daughter some fried dumplings on the house to take home! He explained how they are expecting more appliances to come which will allow him to store and make some more specialty pieces...even half priced rolls for the families who want to be able to spend less or not order a whole roll and try different ones. You can tell he poured his heart and soul into this place and how he cares for his customer. So go support this local establishment and try their food. I will definitely will be a returning customer myself!! read more

Didn't think much of this place but damn was I wrong. 7FRIDAY sushi is an excellent establishment! Everything is so fresh and loaded here with the perfect price tag. You'll surely find something you'd enjoy since there's over 100 items on the menu. It's not your typical grab and go sushi like HEB or Kroger. While they do have some made already in the showcase, most of their other items are made to order. What I'm listing isn't even close to all the things I got but these are just some of my favorites: Chef Special Nigiri, Salmon Lover Combo, Hawaiian Poke Roll, & Sashimi Blossom. Service here is absolutely phenomenal! The owners are so sweet and on my second visit I got to know more about their story and how they came about. I always feel so welcomed when I'm here and now I'm just recommending this spot to all of my friends and family! It's a small corner spot with a DRIVE-THRU. There's very limited seating but again it's more of a grab and go than a sit down. There's also a selection of drinks in the fridge and unlimited amounts of ginger and soy sauce at the front counter. Overall, I'd definitely come back to this establishment again and again. I can't wait to see what else they come up with in the future! read more

Can I give them 6 stars??? First of all, the owner Vinh is such a lovely person that just makes you want to support his business and see him be successful. But then to eat his food and to have it be the best sushi around makes it that much better! We had potstickers, sushi, bao and something else... everything was amazing!! I can't wait to go back. If you're even considering, just stop thinking about it and go! I went back again today, the next day. I had the lobster bao and shaggy bao both days because they're so amazingly good. Love, love, love! Checked out this place before NYE to see if we wanted to get a party platter. After a quick sampling of the sushi, the answer was a resounding YES! We ordered a variety platter and they were great about helping us customize it based on what we like and don't like. We picked it up and it was beautiful and even better, delicious. Everyone at the party wanted to know where we got the sushi from and we were so thrilled to tell them it was right around the corner. If you haven't checked this place out, don't wait any longer. Looking forward to trying my way through the whole menu! Great customer service as well. read more

You just found your local sushi spot! 7Friday Sushi is family owned & operated by a local Cypress family. That alone makes me want to support them, but what really keeps me coming back is the quality of their sushi. You can't make good sushi without quality ingredients and 7Friday is consistently fresh. Their prices are fair and the selection is always good. A huge bonus at 7Friday is their drive thru. It's genius and convenient - especially midweek when the last thing you want to do is haul kids out of the car to grab dinner (other than fast food). 7Friday is quickly becoming my go-to. Here's to hoping they stay in Cypress for a long, long time! read more

Love the convenience of this place! He told me I could pick up before work or call in my order to pick up for lunch. They give teachers a discount but you can't get it if ordering online. I have not been disappointed in anything yet. The owner is super nice and helpful, highly recommend. read more

I love sushi , almost as much as I love my kids lol ! We stopped by here during our road trip to Galveston, and stayed in Cypress for a night . Of course when I searched for sushi I thought to give this place a try . From the unique sauces that explode with flavors to the rolls , I have no complaints other than having food coma . I'm a sauce girl and some of the rolls are so flavorful that no sauce is really needed . I suggest to just eat it as it is and try the sauce or sauces afterwards . If you want to try something out of the traditional California roll ( is that even sushi ) give this place a try ! Great friendly staff who are attentive to their customers makes the food taste even better ! I'll definitely come back here during my yearly Galveston trips ! read more

Amazing service and honestly not what I expected it to be initially. I had originally assumed it was going to be a sit down and be served type of restaurant but it's more of a grab and go! So delicious, me and my friends enjoyed the fresh sushi! Definitely going back and buying more rolls!

It's best when you order ahead vs getting what's premade. I always ask for extra ginger and wasabi

The food looks delicious in pictures, but there was no menu displayed inside the restaurant. Was directed to "take a picture of the QR code" Website didn't work for me, perhaps bad cell service/location? If you haven't tried 7Friday Sushi, you're missing out! I picked up food on Friday and decided to eat in and finish up some work. They have these comfy bar stools, with tables facing the windows outside, and wall outlets you can use to charge your laptop. As I ate my food (a vegan San Antonio roll, vegan dumplings, and edamame), I noticed how Vinh greeted everyone with a warm welcome as they entered. Run don't Walk to 7Friday Sushi! My whole family loved everything they ordered- several different rolls and dumplings. And I am blown away by what the owner made for me. Because of my autoimmune disease I have to eat gluten/soy/dairy free and the owner made me a version of the Hawaiian Poke roll and Shrimp spring rolls leaving out anything I couldn't eat and adding other ingredients to make it extra yummy. It was so good I'm dreaming about the next time I'm in town and able to get it again. Not only was the food super delicious, the staff was so kind and accommodating to my dietary needs.
