Looks like they have a lot of good friends who gave them very high ratings which unfortunately they not even close to that. Salads for second visit became better. Main dishes such shishki bobs it just cooked meet not even eatable. Mozgi what they call spacial come with nasty red tomato sauce which killing the taste of the dish. Medalion dish on bad of the potatoes ot was disgusted. Looks like chef can't even cook potatoes its raw. Even tea was called. We had 20 people at the table and they were all disappoint. Ya boy eats here. Had a blast celebrating the homies birthday party last night and the only thing I really remember well was wildin' on the Wild Salmon. Freshest cut I've gotten since walking a block into Staten Island. Also don't be a Durak you gotta try the Borscht. This place deserves 100 STARS!! Definitely my favorite place in the neighborhood. Beautiful beautiful atmosphere. Love the Wall! Super friendly staff. Very pretty food presentation, which most importantly was also delicious! We chose this place for my son's 5th birthday party and we couldn't be happier with our decision. The staff was extremely accommodating to the kids. Kids loved the food as well, which was a big deal for all our little picky eaters. They were also very accommodating to one of our little guest's that had a food sensitivity. They only recently started delivering. And as soon as we found out, we have ordered lunch every day since. Just returned from brunch at the newest restaurant in Brighton Beach, just a couple of blocks from the boardwalk. I'm rating 718 a 4, but really a 4.5. Eager to go back for dinner as I expect to push this to a 5* in an update. The food was served piping hot, beautiful presentation and huge portions. There were at least 12 things I could have ordered on the brunch/lunch menu. I went with the Flower Power - 2 eggs grilled in peppers with "flowered" grilled cocktail sausages and a substantial side salad with a very tasty and light vinaigrette. Very colorful and not overly heavy like many of the restaurants in the neighborhood. And I had a Caeser Salad on the "side". I quote "side" because the salad was huge (I was warned!). Excellent dressing - again, light, not heavy like so many Caesar's. Walked out with salad doggie bags (if dogs ate salad) worthy of 2 more meals. Prices are much lower than most brunches in many BK neighborhoods.The space is beautifully decorated (again, can't wait to see it at night), the staff professional, informative and very friendly. And they are a short block away from our apartment. I expect to be a regular here. Liquor license is pending any day now and they have a very attractive small bar, ready and waiting. A new local Gem in the neighborhood. It has become a staple for my wife and I. We absolutely love this place. Let's start with the restaurant. It's new so it's super clean and cozy. It's not a huge place yet cozy as tables are evenly spaced. The service is nothing but exceptional and very attentive. Okay so now to the good stuff. Food. Well first take a look at my PHOTOS. They are taken from different visits. Yes I came back and will continue to come back. The food is as delicious as the beautiful presentation. The prime rib was so juicy and tender. There salads are just right. Soups are Perfect. Everything is so flavorful. THE BEST PART IS THEIR PORTIONS ARE VERY GENEROUS. I have never lest hungry. In fact, I also take some to go because I can never finish and I EAT A LOT. I enjoy going there for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is something for everyone. Solid 4 stars. Huge portions, pretty good food, but fails in execution and timing. We were the only people in the place and it still took them a while to get the food out. I must say out favorite thing was the eel appetizer. The chicken cordon bleu was delicious, but the ham should have really been sliced much thinner. The salmon and the duck were overcooked creating tough texture. The sauce that accompanied the duck was a little cloyingly sweet. While all portions were doubled, I think they need to pay more attention to the execution rather than the quantity. They provide nice bread with butter to start. Since it was passover, they added matzah. Nice touch! So, it's a good take on French food, but it's definatly a solid 4. Perhaps if I hadn't been to many French establishments in NY and some in Paris this place would have another star, but for now it's 5 stars. One more thing, they automatically charge 10% tip. On the bottom of the bill they provide suggestions of additional 15%, 20%, and 25%. I'm a good tipper, but I felt guilted into leaving a higher tip then I would usually leave. Usually, establishments give suggestions for the same amounts but not on top of 10%. We left 15% on top of the 10% making it a 25% tip. I know that Russian owned establishments do that, but that just reminded me that I'm not in authentic French spot where I'm either automatically charged for tip or choose myself, but by no means have I even been suggested to leaves a tip on top of a tip. read more

We were looking forward to coming here after reading all the good reviews. I had a reservation for a party of 12 and pre-ordered all the appetizers the day before (leaving my cc info as requested by the restaurant). When we got there nothing was ready, after about 45 minutes of complaining we finally got one salad that I DIDN'T order. The staff was polite but that didn't make matters any better. We got one dish at a time every 20-30 min. It took over 2 hours to finally get all appetizers. By that time everyone was so annoyed we couldn't enjoy the food, which was okay nothing above average. It's very similar to Sweet Spot, but lower quality ingredients and not as much variety. By the end of the night the manager apologized and offered free dessert, we declined as it was so late everyone just wanted to leave. P.S. at the end of the night we were told by staff that they just couldn't handle the capacity of people. Sad but we will not be back here. read more

This is very nice place in the middle of "Russian" Brooklyn. We came here for my small family gathering and we were ordering a-la-carte. Portions are pretty big and ABSOLUTELY delicious!! Everything we tried was absolutely top notch!! I would do my celebration there any time, but the only problem is - they don't have any dance floor or live music... The only reason I didn't gave them 5 stars -was the situation was my cake. We brought our own cake from outside bakery and ask waiter to cut it into pieces for us. She said it's no problem at all. But when she returned it back- It was tiny - tiny pieces of cake on the plate - exactly in the amount of the guests. "Leftovers" of the cake they put back in the Box and return to us. When I came home I realized that they gave me back half of my cake. They serve to us exactly quarter of the cake In those tiny - tiny pieces. And another quarter of the cake "mysteriously" disappeared!!! I would've probably OK if they would've take 1 of 2 pieces for themselves.. I probably would have not even noticed it. Reserved 12th bday for my son, had about 20 adults with 8 kids. They stayed in touch with me to coordinate menu/seatings etc to make sure all went well. Arrived at designed time and everything was spotless ready. The food presentation and taste was impeccable. Then when was time for hot entry, everyone ordered their own food choices and again everything was cooked spot on. Just all around positive experience. We came there for breakfast on Saturday morning. NEVER AGAIN. We almost left everything, paid and left. It is like they use whatever left from day before. Home potato was definitely at least 2 days old, bacon was old and so greasy. They definitely cook everything with old smelly oil. Looks like oladushki were cooked in a same oil and bacon. I was so excited to try this place! Came here with a friend, it was just the two of us in the whole restaurant. Three people working and not one of them came up to us. We had to call someone over, we order food wait an hour for it. Not sure why because we were the ONLY ones there. It gets better, they bring me the WRONG food. Then he said it will be about another 20 minutes to bring the correct dish. I said no , so I didnt eat anything but soup which was terrible. Finally we wanna pay and of course they are quick to bring the bill but no one wanted the money! So we go up and wait for someone in the front for 15 minutes. Very nice restaurant, clearly popular for smaller scale family celebrations, judging by how many times "Happy Birthday" had been sung during last Saturday's evening that we were there. We came with our friends whom we have not seen for two years, just to relax, have a good food and conversation. When I was booking the table, the lady on the other end of the line sounded very nice and she also called me back 3 days before and the day of to confirm. We walked in, were greeted, and shown to our table. Our server was amazing, I did not get her name, would be great if the servers always introduced themselves, makes the meal a bit more special. She was extremely friendly and made us feel right at home. Onto the food. We got a variety of starters: avocado salad, tongue salad, chicken liver, tuna tartar, foie gras, salo, and a couple of other items I can't remember now. For the main course, two of us had beef Wellington, 2 people had prime rib, one person had the duck entry and another had the Uncle Porksters. For dessert, we had ponchiki and napoleon which we shared. Everything was delicious, served at just the right temperature and properly seasoned. We will certainly be back as I want to try some other dishes. Looking around the room, you could see that everyone was having a great time, and the servers at all the tables were extremely friendly and capable. The total for the meal, which I consider lavish, came to $618 for 6 people, this included an 18% gratuity, and we left more tip because the service has truly exceeded our expectations. read more
