1933 Lounge Carmel is a different vibe from the 1933 in fishers. The Carmel location has a fantastic patio and an indoor/ outdoor bar. Our server DJ was nice and on point with his descriptions of the entrées we inquired about. The wagyu burger was juicy with garlic aioli. I choose a baked potato with butter and sour cream for my side but there were plenty of other options to choose from. The bread pudding was moist and not overly sweet. This is my favorite restaurant in all of Carmel, which is saying a lot. You know you're going to get great food and service at any Huse Culinary location, but the ambiance here is top notch. This feels like a restaurant you'd only find in a much larger city, but it's approachable and fun. read more

So opulent! Love love love the decor and esthetic. I opted for the lunch combo meal, it came with a caesars salad, shrimp cocktail with the famous St Elmo's cocktail sauce, 2 sliders with choice of wagyu beef, filet, or shrimp. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and huge. We wanted to sit outside so we had to wait around an hour to be seated. While we initially went for a quick date night to grab drinks and split appetizers, turned into a feast. We ordered a few drinks, lobster bisque, sliders, crab mac&cheese and a tuna filet. I was bummed out with the crab Mac& cheese, it just didn't hit the spot. Everything else was good, but the total was $259 with tip. I would like to try again, on the cheaper side. Came in today for lunch as a guest of a VIP invite. I didn't take a photo of the food due to it being a working lunch, but the it was amazing. I had the Intern with grilled chicken Caesar salad. The shrimp cocktail was delicious, the Caesar was one of the best I have ever had, and the chicken was cooked just right. Even the croutons on the salad were great. The interior of 1933 is spectacular as well. The inside was much bigger than I thought and had a huge sprawling bar, as well as a large patio seating area that could be opened up to the outside on nice days. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. I would love to come back in the evening to try out their cocktails and enjoy the evening vibe. read more

Excited to try this place once it's officially up and running. Was able to dine here for a pre-opening limited menu. Drinks were fantastic, and the service was fine especially considering everyone there was new and learning. They were able to easily accommodate a friend who was vegan with options for every dish. Definitely recommend one of their salads if you're dining in. Also recommend reserving one of their lounge areas if available for drinks. We were so lucky to have been able to attend one of the testing nights at the new1933 in Carmel. Folks, the ambiance and decor in the place is second to none! We shared the shrimp cocktail and spin dip appetizers. Then had the burrata salad! Yowza was it heavenly! Then tried the lobster bisque-creamy and delicious. Could have used a lil more seasoning. I then had the 8oz filet with bourbon peppercorn glaze and roasted asparagus. Both were phenomenal. The asparagus may have been the best I have ever tasted. All followed up by the blueberry bread pudding and coconut cream pie that we all shared. Both were tasty. My friend had the seared tuna and was very pleased with it! This is the fifth time I have been to 1933 Lounge. In every instance, the experience has been exceptional. From greet staff, to waiters, everyone was kind, personable and helpful. In regards to the food, we were there at lunchtime and I ordered The Executive, while she prefers ala carte. The Executive comes with the exceptional shrimp and equally exceptional St. Elmo's cocktail sauce. It was delicious. It also included Wagyu sliders, and a salad. There were other options, but I have centered on this one as my favorite. Quality has been the same with every visit, maybe that is why I keep ordering it! My friend opted for sliders and a loaded baked potato. Atmosphere was delightfully classy, as was the waiter. We will definitely be back as there are many more options to explore! read more

Went to 1933 for V-day afternoon. The design and ambience of the restaurant is superb. However, after 25 minutes of nobody stopping by our table I went up to the hostess and requested water. From there it was another 25 minutes until we were served our ordered drinks. Honestly, did not expect an establishment like 1933 to take 50 minutes to serve drinks. Afte the drinks we ordered food, the sliders were ok, a little overcooked. My wife's salmon was very raw in the middle and sadly had to be sent back (legitimately the first time I have ever seen her do that). I should also mention we were at the restaurant at 2:30 it wasnt like the place was a packed. 1933 comped our two beverages which was nice but for having to track down water and not serving good food I would stay away. read more

Took my grandson for his 25th birthday, and he enjoyed his Wagyu steak sliders and I enjoyed my Devour INDY filet mignon with horseradish/Gorgonzola topping! Wagyu hamburger was delicious, but the steak meat quality was very poor, and wasn't made correctly. our Server was attentive, but some communication wasn't clear about side dishes and upcharges that we should not received at the end. This is our first time to this location, as we normally go to the fishers location, but wanted to try something new. I will echo other reviewers to say this definitely has a very much different feel to the fishers location, but I actually really liked it. I love how bright and open the restaurant felt. We had a great seat outside on the patio and really liked it. The service was very good, if anything I felt like they were too on top of things and almost felt rushed at points when we were just trying to enjoy our night. I normally get the burger but tonight I ended up just getting a couple sliders. Of course, all of their meat is cooked great, so all the sandwich options are great. This time the standout was definitely the bread. I hate paying for bread like that, just a personal pet peeve, but we wanted to try it, so we bit the bullet and WOW! It was so good! We were almost licking the butter up after we were done with the bread. It had this subtle garlic taste and it was so good. I would definitely recommend it. We also got the white chocolate bread pudding dessert, which is one of my favorite desserts of any restaurant anywhere. My birthday dinner from my husband! I ordered the filet mignon and he had the grilled salmon. We both commented about how delicious and hot our food was upon being served. For as gorgeous as this location is - the service is horrible. Twice I've tried to give the newest location a chance and have experienced rude front of house each time. Truly ruins the rest of the experience. The first time I went we were basically pushed out the door as they had "no availability". Tonight was the same except outdoor seating was available. The front desk was very rude about it and we were told to wait for 10 minutes, which was fine. We were sat mostly in the sun, when we asked to lower the shades we were told "they don't like to lower the shades" and they would only raise it. Drinks took a very long time to get to the table, the shrimp cocktail had minimal sauce on it which is highly unlike any of the restaurants to do. When we ordered food we were told they couldn't swap the soup for a salad, even if it costs more. Overall just a horrible experience so a high quality brand. Fishers location is 10x better - Anthony's down the street has way better service. This is an extreme let down for the brand. read more

Xmas Eve started out great. Initial service was attentive and app courses up until the entrees went well. Cocktails, great; shrimp cocktail, wedge, burrata and bread, great; Flowers Pinot noir, excellent as always; wine service, needs refining. Lobster bisque, great. Then came the entrees. One filet mignon was good, the other was under and just needed to be brought up a little more, and the mushrooms side was lukewarm at best. Not a huge deal, easy fix for those two dishes, but after dropping off the entrees, the server completely disappeared. No check back, nothing. I had to search for her to get it fixed. Too much time passed and everyone else was eating so my mother ate alone. My aged ribeye was probably the worst I've had in a long time. Mealy, dry and chewy. Medium rare Pittsburg and was basically inedible (I was a server at Eddie Vs). Should've sent it back but after waiting for the server to even check on us, I was more concerned with my guests. 4 people, one round of cocktails, 2 x $100 bottles of wine =$900 dinner. Not sure how that happened, but 100% not worth it. Furthermore, apparently it costs two dollars to remove bacon on your loaded baked potato.. Food: 3 for what went well Service: 4 at first then 1 Atmosphere: 5 place has potential and many people probably have had a better experience. read more

My husband and I and another couple pick this over our usual Ruth Chris or HC in fisher. guest arrived before and had their drinks, it took a waitress 8-10 minutes to even stop back by the table for our drink order. Then even longer to come back and take our meal orders. In the essence of time we ordered app at the same time as meal. Starter was the shrimp cocktail. The shrimp was smothered in their signature sauce, but it was overwhelmed in the sauce you couldn't find or taste the shrimp. 2nd, I ordered the wedge salad, under dressed and fresh but very bland. I followed with 10 oz filet, the flavor wasn't of a grilled steak over a fire but more of a pot roast flavoring. I was so Very disappointed. Baked potato skin was a dark and overcooked, the insides were not fluffy and hot, but lukewarm at best. By this course we all were in shock at the food we were being served. Followed by the blueberry bread pudding, the pudding was literally served cold, not remotely warm. It was served with lots of whipped cream and a la mode, I asked the waiter if it was to be warm she said no, because it had "ice cream" . All bread puddings I've ever eating are always served à la mode are hot or very warm. The meal Started out poor and ended even poorer. I've only had light/heavy appetizers at this location, which is essentially the same food, from the same supplier that provides for all of their location. All are good. First of all this place is gorgeous!! It doesn't feel like a place you would find in indy/Carmel even. There are different themes in here. Lots of gold and greens. There is a hand painted red room. There is a room with all carpet in the walls. There Is a lighting fixture over the bar worth over $1 million. I couldn't stop staying at all the decor. There is so much detail. The patio alone feels like somewhere in another country. The patio is covered with clear shades that come down and heated floors! It was particularly cold on this morning but the patio had me toasty. The service was great!! The server was knowledgeable. Many good recs. I got the corn creme Brule on her rec which I probably wouldn't have ordered otherwise. It was sweet and savory and lil spicy. Interesting. The wagyu sliders were very good and blue cheesy. The ability comes with is yummy. It's good to dip ur fries with too. I got ranch for my fries but the aioli was a little better. The ranch a lil runny. The fries were fresh n hot. The lychee martini was cute with the bubble but I wouldn't get it again. It sounded great but wish it tasted better. This place is gorgeous! We were seated on what I'd describe as the porch and being a sunny day, it was lovely with all the light coming in. The lunch menu is limited but really what else needs to be added? I opted for the $25 Director which included 2 sliders, your choice of filet, wagyu beef or a fish, along with Mac and cheese and a Caesar salad. The filet sliders were out of this world. So tender and flavorful and the horseradish sauce spectacular. I could eat it by the spoonful! Our server, Lana, was charming and spot on with her pacing of service! Cons: Ordered a dry-aged strip steak medium rare, it came medium well (I didn't send back). First drink order, Crimson Smoke, came without ice and without cherries. Second drink order was completely wrong (white wine versus red wine). Thus, service was less than anticipated. Only 3 stars as I will give some grace to this newer restaurant in Carmel. Hoping they tighten up their service and become consistent. Have been 3 times now. 2 times for drinks only and once for dinner (last night). First of all, the place is absolutely gorgeous and it was very crowded. Our server/service were very good. Last night, our server was not good at all and she looked a bit disheveled and not particularly interested in promoting the place/food. We took some friends with us because we kept telling them what a beautiful place it was. Unfortunately, they were not impressed and said they would not be returning. It was also very loud and hard to have a conversation. My food, seafood pasta was good, but not great. It was left under the warmer for too long and dried up the dish. Not very creamy.
