This might be the best meal I've ever had. We were excited to try out this new spot and were really impressed by the ambiance and the decorating style. They did a great job of making it look elegant and dramatic without making it feel dark and heavy. I also loved the variety of seating areas - outside, at the open bar area or more private seating. Our server was great, and we were never short on people checking on us. The drinks were phenomenal, the appetizers were tasty and fresh, and the entrees were delicious. My boyfriend got the steak, which was perfectly done. I got the burrata and tomato salad, which was fresh and perfectly dressed. The dessert was the perfect end to the evening. I went here with a friend has I'd won my office's gift card raffle. It was incredible! Drinks were fairly priced to other establishments I've patronized. We started with a round of drinks and the shrimp cocktail. I love the St. Elmo's cocktail sauce! For drinks I got the French 75. My friend got a mule. We'd made it in time to get the first round for happy hour which we got our drinks with 8th Day gin. The second round of drinks I got the Robin Lychee Martini. My friend got The Gatsby. Both were good. For our second round of food we split the Sunburst Roll. The roll was massive! It easily could've been an entree. Splitting it was perfect! It was fresh and just overall so good! We then each had the lobster bisque which was heavenly! For the main course we split the Sesame Chive Crusted Tuna. If you love an ahi tune this is for you! Each bite was PERFECTION! We stopped in for a late lunch on a busy Saturday. We both loved the atmosphere right away - it has a bit of a masculine decor. The lounge seats definitely looked like a fun place to come back with a small group. Service was fast and friendly, but we also didn't feel rushed in any way. We both ordered The Executive off the lunch menu. It included St. Elmo's famous shrimp cocktail, two sliders, and a small Caesar salad. It was WAY too much food, but it was delicious. It would be great for girls night cocktails or for a fun date night. Service was impeccable - our waitress was so kind and had perfect timing. Our server DJ was nice and on point with his descriptions of the entrées we inquired about. The wagyu burger was juicy with garlic aioli. I choose a baked potato with butter and sour cream for my side but there were plenty of other options to choose from. The bread pudding was moist and not overly sweet. Birthday dinner. Loved the restaurant. Food was great. Service was OK, up until the bill. This new 'pay at the table' is one of the lowest forms of cost savings I've ran into at a restaurant. If I wanted 'Chili's' service and corner cutting, I'd go there. Waiter brings the check and presents it in the form of holding the machine, 'check' amount clearly visible to the entire table, doesn't say a word, just stands there. My date sees the price, is shocked, and then becomes embarrassed and concerned. She felt as though she'd over ordered. This should NEVER happen in a restaurant such as 1933. There is absolutely no good reason to treat your customers as if they are not worth discretion. A 'good' restaurant leaves payment as a quiet, discrete event. Not a table presentation and quick execution. I won't go back if this table side payment plan continues. It might be easier/cheaper for the restaurant, but it forces a tip amount in front of the waiter, presents the meal cost to the entire table, and lessens my view of the entire meal. I'd expect more from a restaurant supposedly of a higher caliber. Great experience ruined by cost cutting check payment. Get the paper and pen back and regain something for your customers. read more

The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and huge. We wanted to sit outside so we had to wait around an hour to be seated. While we initially went for a quick date night to grab drinks and split appetizers, turned into a feast. We ordered a few drinks, lobster bisque, sliders, crab mac&cheese and a tuna filet. I was bummed out with the crab Mac& cheese, it just didn't hit the spot. Everything else was good, but the total was $259 with tip. I would like to try again, on the cheaper side. Came in today for lunch as a guest of a VIP invite. I didn't take a photo of the food due to it being a working lunch, but the it was amazing. I had the Intern with grilled chicken Caesar salad. The shrimp cocktail was delicious, the Caesar was one of the best I have ever had, and the chicken was cooked just right. Even the croutons on the salad were great. The interior of 1933 is spectacular as well. The inside was much bigger than I thought and had a huge sprawling bar, as well as a large patio seating area that could be opened up to the outside on nice days. Excited to try this place once it's officially up and running. Was able to dine here for a pre-opening limited menu. Drinks were fantastic, and the service was fine especially considering everyone there was new and learning. They were able to easily accommodate a friend who was vegan with options for every dish. Definitely recommend one of their salads if you're dining in. Also recommend reserving one of their lounge areas if available for drinks. We were so lucky to have been able to attend one of the testing nights at the new1933 in Carmel. Folks, the ambiance and decor in the place is second to none! We shared the shrimp cocktail and spin dip appetizers. Then had the burrata salad! Yowza was it heavenly! Then tried the lobster bisque-creamy and delicious. Could have used a lil more seasoning. I then had the 8oz filet with bourbon peppercorn glaze and roasted asparagus. Both were phenomenal. The asparagus may have been the best I have ever tasted. This is the fifth time I have been to 1933 Lounge. In every instance, the experience has been exceptional. From greet staff, to waiters, everyone was kind, personable and helpful. In regards to the food, we were there at lunchtime and I ordered The Executive, while she prefers ala carte. The Executive comes with the exceptional shrimp and equally exceptional St. Elmo's cocktail sauce. It was delicious. It also included Wagyu sliders, and a salad. There were other options, but I have centered on this one as my favorite. Quality has been the same with every visit, maybe that is why I keep ordering it! My friend opted for sliders and a loaded baked potato. Atmosphere was delightfully classy, as was the waiter. We will definitely be back as there are many more options to explore! read more

This is our first time to this location, as we normally go to the fishers location, but wanted to try something new. I will echo other reviewers to say this definitely has a very much different feel to the fishers location, but I actually really liked it. I love how bright and open the restaurant felt. We had a great seat outside on the patio and really liked it. The service was very good, if anything I felt like they were too on top of things and almost felt rushed at points when we were just trying to enjoy our night. I normally get the burger but tonight I ended up just getting a couple sliders. Of course, all of their meat is cooked great, so all the sandwich options are great. This time the standout was definitely the bread. I hate paying for bread like that, just a personal pet peeve, but we wanted to try it, so we bit the bullet and WOW! It was so good! We were almost licking the butter up after we were done with the bread. It had this subtle garlic taste and it was so good. I would definitely recommend it. We also got the white chocolate bread pudding dessert, which is one of my favorite desserts of any restaurant anywhere. For as gorgeous as this location is - the service is horrible. Twice I've tried to give the newest location a chance and have experienced rude front of house each time. Truly ruins the rest of the experience. The first time I went we were basically pushed out the door as they had "no availability". Tonight was the same except outdoor seating was available. The front desk was very rude about it and we were told to wait for 10 minutes, which was fine. We were sat mostly in the sun, when we asked to lower the shades we were told "they don't like to lower the shades" and they would only raise it. Drinks took a very long time to get to the table, the shrimp cocktail had minimal sauce on it which is highly unlike any of the restaurants to do. When we ordered food we were told they couldn't swap the soup for a salad, even if it costs more. Overall just a horrible experience so a high quality brand. Fishers location is 10x better - Anthony's down the street has way better service. This is an extreme let down for the brand. read more

I've only had light/heavy appetizers at this location, which is essentially the same food, from the same supplier that provides for all of their location. All are good. The lunch menu is limited but really what else needs to be added? I opted for the $25 Director which included 2 sliders, your choice of filet, wagyu beef or a fish, along with Mac and cheese and a Caesar salad. The filet sliders were out of this world. So tender and flavorful and the horseradish sauce spectacular. I could eat it by the spoonful! Our server, Lana, was charming and spot on with her pacing of service!
