On our trip to NY my husband and I found this cafe tucked away near our hostel. It was immediately warm and cosy and clear that most of the people there were repeat costumers as they talked with the cashier Jason. He was very kind and helpful on our first visit, and as we continued to go for breakfast everyday always maintained those qualities. They have a great selection of bagels/sandwiches which are delicious and filling. The coffee was hot and yummy. Thank you for making our cold mornings so enjoyable! read more

Cute design but everything else was very questionable. It's self-service yet the wait was too long (over 45 minutes for 2 ramen and a fried rice) while the taste was just average. I would never come back again. read more

This is one of my top favorite cafes ever! Everyone is extremely nice and courteous, and the food is fantastic! Try the kimchi fried rice: it's so delicious! The coffee is absolutely amazing, too. I also love how they have almond milk as a dairy substitute for us milk-free folks! Thank you so much for being so wonderful! read more

Just had brunch with my sister here, food was once again delicious and simple. After our meal the kind worker gave us a dessert on the house for the holidays, very sweet read more

This place definitely settled in an ambitious spot like a review below mentioned. Because of the neighborhood I truly hope that this place survives. The food here is above average (not the greatest thing of all time) the prices are slightly high but still fair. The place inside is beautiful and they have free wifi too! If you can only get one thing I would definitely recommend ordering a drink. Their coffee is to die for and definitely worth the higher price tag. I suggest the iced pumpkin pie latte and I love that they make it with less sugar and allow you to add simple syrup on your own. Overall it's a place that I'm definitely coming to regularly for coffee or tea and occasionally for a simple but yummy meal. read more

Had a great dirty chai oat latte, yummy bagel. Reasonable prices and very friendly service. ADORABLE DECOR

Wow! My favorite egg sandwich. Where do the bagels comes from?? The eggs, bacon, sauce is all amazing. Seriously how do they do it??? Come here and you'll see what's up and never be able to get a BEC anywhere else. read more

Excruciatingly long wait time and the foods definitely not worth the wait whatsoever. However, Its a cute little place so go here if you have nothing else to do with your precious time :) read more

Great coffee! Wonderful ambiance! We each had the speciality sandwich: smoked salmon and the other was the refried beans. Both were delish and made fresh! And the owner is just so sweet! Great place! Highly recommended! FYI: For now the place is cash only! Just a heads up read more

Cafe 19 is really lovely. The food is great and clearly made to order. Super yummy and the gent that runs it is a peach. I'm very thankful to have a place like this in the area. Great coffee and great food. I loved the kim-chi fried rice (with an egg on top) that I had tonight. read more

Lovely raman noodles and good service, but no credit cards yet. read more

19 Cafe - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

A hidden gem in a less than fashionable area of East Williamsburg. Behind the rather anonymous name and exterior is some of the best food and coffee in the area. The sandwiches are unusual and awesome (and unusually, pleasantly small and delicate for an American café) -- my favourites are the refried beans, fried egg and cilantro sandwich. The egg, kale and cheddar is also superb. Lots of flavour packed into a small meal. It's worth keeping in mind that there's a single chef who makes everything and also does coffee, and so the wait time can be fairly long. It is, however, worth the wait. I have not tried the Asian dishes yet (of which there are plenty: kimchi rice, udon, ramen, noodle salads, jiaozi), but I'm looking forward to doing it. read more

Nice neighborhood spot. Really good coffee, Balthazar pastries. What's not to like??

Delicious sandwiches and kind helpful staff. Happy to support this gem in the neighborhood.

I love this cafe. They have so many options for food and drink, and everything I have had so far is delicious. Everyone who works there is very nice and it is just such a nice environment. Definitely want to support so this little spot doesn't go away! read more

Great coffee, spacious sitting area, and the kindest service I've ever had in a Brooklyn coffee shop. Everything here is delicious, from almond croissant to the toast sandwiches. The owner (?) is so sweet and wonderful, and having 19 Cafe close is such a treat. More people need to know about this place! read more

A friend recommended this place as the best bacon egg and cheese nearby our new apartment, and it did not disappoint! So tasty. I don't normally write reviews, but the guy who was running the operation was so incredibly kind, helpful and welcoming. We visited on a rainy day and he went out of his way to make sure there were enough seats wiped down for us to safely sit outside. I cannot thank him enough for his incredible hospitality! I keep on coming back. read more

This is the probably the best Bacon Egg and Cheese in the world. I have lived in NYC my whole life, and this is the best BEC I have ever had. The coffee is also delicious, with the cold brew being quite strong. Atmosphere is cute, custom, and lovely. Owner is also super friendly. read more

I live down the block and try to come here at least once a week. It's usually more than that. Best bacon egg and cheese I've ever had. The other food is great too, but I'm so awed by the BEC that I have a hard time diverting. Best, most friendly staff in town. If you're looking for places to support during Covid, start here. read more

This is such a lovely cafe! The breakfast sandwiches are delicious as is the matcha latte. On top of yummy treats, everyone is so friendly- it makes for a wonderful ambiance. My favorite hidden gem of East Williamsburg! read more

Just went to the place today. Love trying new places and I must say If I am working in the area again I will make it a priority to stop here and grab their amazing toasted whole wheat toast with avocado mashed with a fried egg and their special sauce. It had to the one of the best sandwiches I have had. Also had a caramel latte and it was pretty good. I recommend this place highly. Atmosphere is nice relaxing if your lookoing to sit and stay. read more

First day in NY. Jason was super friendly and the latte was excellent. Great vibe and good food. Highly recommend! Will be back soon!

Maybe one or two years ago this place deserve 5 stars. Things have changed. Maybe it is a new cook, different suppler or a change in recipe, but things have been slowly changing for the worse. The coffee is less flavorful, almost water down. The ramen noodle sucks now and they should go back to the old recipe. It is now way too salty and the toppings/noodles texture used to be so much better. If they just fix the little things, this will be back at 5 stars! read more

Great Coffee, Great Food, Great Service. Needless to say, it's a Great addition to the neighborhood !

As tourist from California we were craving some yummy soup to keep us warm from the chilly NYC weather. This establishment provided great service and food. The cashier was really friendly and welcomed us with a cheery good morning. We were a little short on change and the cashier was okay with it. It was really helpful since I need caffeine to function. The pork belly soup was Delish and the fried rice was great! The only comment I have is the lack of Sriracha sauce. It would be the cherry on top to their great food! read more

The pork belly sandwich is excellent! Note cash only though.

What a relief to have this hole in the wall close to CABS Health Center. Beautiful and calming place perfect for reading. Coffee was surprisingly good and strong. I'm yet to test the entrees. read more

So, I don't really get how this place received such hight review and positive feedback. As a Raman lover, it's a shame they called their product "Raman". To me it's just hot soup within noodles. They didn't come together and the noodle they use is not even Raman doodle. read more

This is a great brunch spot!! The fried rice was so flavorful with just a bit of spice. Their black iced tea has the right amount of smoothness and compliments the rice well!! I can't wait to come back and try their ramen!!! read more

Went to stay for 2 days in Brooklyn. Found this cafe around the corner from where we stayed at. Great coffee and food! The matcha latte was really good too. The ambience is awesome, good music and the owner was really nice! This little cafe would have been my go-to place if I lived here. read more

I really like this place. It's comfortable and in a secluded place but close to the J train. I've only have the cold brew which is a solid cold brew (as in it is tasty and packs some caffeine). It has free wifi and quiet enough to get some work done. The guy at the counter is nice and friendly. It's reasonably priced. The temperature is set at a comfortable level for summer. read more

Really delicious variety of food, from lovely coffeeshop biscuits and matcha lattes, to full dinner dishes of ramen or fried chicken. This is a nice homely little cafe perfect for meeting a friend or a casual date. Also, it's a great place to work during the day since there's free wifi. read more

Latte perfection!! Smooth silky milk and a perfect temperature cup of coffee. A kind smile goes a long way when it comes to the food business! So keep on smiling! Definitely felt welcomed there! read more

I went here for the first time last week, and liked it quite a bit. It has your standard coffee, tea (organic), snacks, baked goods, and fruit, but it also has some interesting offerings like Udon noodles and some other Japanese dishes. The proprietor is very nice, and gifted me some sort of baked coconut pastry during my visit. Delicious. (yes, I can be bought quite easily) Definitely a good place to come and grab a cup of coffee. Plenty of space to work as well, with tables and seating galore. Check it out! read more

They do have Kobrick Coffee, but this place is actually called 19 cafe. Small coffee shop offering some interesting lunch items from udon noodles and dumplings to a Paris sandwich(?). No clue what that is. And yes they have wifi. read more

Overall a really satisfying lunch. For 2, we ordered the avocado edamame toast (2 pieces), pork dumplings, and veggie cold noodles. I was surprised that my least favorite was the toast, tasted fine but nothing special. The dumplings were amazing (boiled variety, lightly pan fried) and the cold noodles were really good. They had a nice spice to them. read more

Cute place, great coffee (Kobrick) and tasty food. Service is really weird; there's a chick who's usually at the front and is a very awkward, off-putting human. Also smells like large amounts of burnt oil which is impossible to get off clothing/skins. 4/5 read more

Calm and inviting atmosphere, very helpful staff, and AMAZING ramen, would highly recommend!!

Above average prices, but good quality and attentive personal. The focus is on Asian cuisine, this should be mentioned. If you are willing to incorporate that into your menu you will have a good time here. read more

Found this place close to where I was staying but the chicken fried rice was good, people who worked there were so nice and welcoming. Interesting combination of food, you don't think you will find fried rice or noodle at a coffee place. read more
