I decided to use 123JUNK instead of another junk company because they offered a 10% discount. You get what you pay for, apparently! The item was picked up, early in fact. But the driver didn't know how to operate his truck. He backed into the cable wire, taking it down. We had to call the cable company to replace it. That meant the house was without phone, internet or cable TV for a day. Also, the driver left a large chair in the grass! It's too big for us to handle, and our private trash company won't pick it up. I told this to the person who called asking "how it went" two days ago, but the chair is still there. I had 123JUNK remove some furniture from my three-story townhouse. The process to setup the appointment was very easy when I called in. I was given a two-hour appointment window. I was called an hour before and asked if they were able to come 30 minutes before the window if I was available - which I was and I was happy to have it done earlier. Zach and Marcus (I believe those were their names) arrived right when expected and were extremely courteous. I hired 123 Junk to remove almost everything out of a house that I am listing for a client. My seller lives in Arizona, and they were still able to work well and coordinate with both him and myself. Contacted them to help me clean out/clear out a condo. They called me to let me know they could be 30 minutes early and I was happy to oblige. In person, they revised their estimate upward based on the items I needed removed, but it was not outlandish so I ok'ed it. The two young men were clean, polite and wore company red shirts. They were very conscious of their work and asked me repeatedly if there was any doubt about whether or not I wanted an item removed. The ease of setting up appointment, communication on truck ETA, and the two gentleman who removed my couch and mattress were all great! The issue is the astronomical price they charged! Completely understand convenience charge but $369 to remove a couch (not a sectional) and a queen mattress is absurd! The Maryland crew of Rodney, Eric and Rodrigo came in and made quick work or removing old doors, shelves, cabinets, suitcases and other stuff. Their quick service was matched by the offices speedy and efficient scheduling. I had called the day before and they gave me a window between 9am - 11am. Eric called at 8:45 and said they'd be there in 30 minutes. At 9:15 they arrived and backed into our driveway. They had removed everything and we pulling out by 9:50. The contract and payment is all done electronically and is very efficient. The rates are great and you'll get a receipt for the items that can be donated, so you stuff isn't ending up in a land fill. The 123 team dealt with my fluid plans and rescheduled me as needed. When they did arrive, they were on time, and extremely courteous.
