I had an old couch and chair to get rid of and it was a much more pricey process than I anticipated. In the past, I've been able to get rid of unwanted, bulky furniture either through my HOA (free) or trash disposal company ($60 fee). My apartment or the county that I lived in did not offer any bulky pickup item services and furniture donations to the American Red Cross are super picky. I submitted multiple requests to junk removal services and Point N Junk was the most competitive with both communication and pricing. They got back to me right away and I jumped to hire them because they offered to come to my place SAME DAY and they also offered $80 while other companies were quoting me $165 - $200. When they got to my apartment, it was a super quick and easy process. They were 2 men and had a pickup truck ready and were very nice. I'm not sure where it goes to, unfortunately; I hope that they try to donate it first before it ends up in a landfill. I highly recommend them if you're out of options in getting rid of old, unwanted furniture. They don't ask for a tip but please consider giving a little bit of cash for each guy. Good choice. These guys did a great job hauling away tons and tons and tons of our crap. They were super helpful. And easy to work with. I was worried they could not fit all of it. The guy just looked at me and smiled. He said oh yeah..that will all fit.. no problem. And he was right! So much damn crap for that little pickup. I'm talking we had a sofa, some chairs, random furniture pieces and bags of clothes and boxes and boxes of odds and ends. I don't even know how they did that but it involved some heavy lifting and lots of tie-down straps. They were amazing. The only thing I wish they did...is call ahead.
