Like a lot of people I was drawn in by the interior and the cute private rooms, therefore I decided to go after my birthday dinner last night. But please do not let that fool you. Security check- the security guard they had was overzealous and unprofessional. While patting people down he would double pat and then proceeded to pat on the butts of the male patrons ahead of us. The song selection was beyond terrible. You would have better luck with a hole in the wall karaoke place in the city. They offer aux cords but some how don't have enough for all of the rooms. The microphones did not have microphone covers on them. The drinks were weak. Like SUPER WEAK. The lemon drops tasted like apple, the shots tasted like apple juice as well. Now the biggest issue is when it comes to payment. They already make you leave a card and id when you get in the room for whatever reason. But when it comes to pay, they have the nerve to verbally demand a tip. Now when they give you the bill, they attach a slip that says "circle one" and the tip choices go 20, 25, 30. That is entirely too much for such mediocre service, song choices and drinks. When my cousin tipped the guy, he proceeds to say to her "do you want to take this back so you can get more?" My friend said to him that no where on the bill is a tip required and if that is the case, it needs to be included in the final bill which it is not. So. I am officially through with this place. I still live in Brooklyn but I think I'll be traveling to queens for ktv from now on like everybody else. I came here in hopes to celebrate my birthday. (I was going to stay here for a while but as soon as I got there at 2:40, they said we had a 2 hour limit) I had to make some quick change of plans with my friends so we bought some movie tickets online. Here's when everything went down the potty hole. We sang approximately 7 songs, that's an average of about 35 minutes. Then the system was down. We sat there for over an hour with nothing to do as the manager, Rayson (whom seemed very kind) and a couple other employees came in to restart the system multiple times. I asked for a room change but they just kept saying "I'll look into it for you" and in the end we never got the room change. To pass time, we did order some drinks (which is obviously overpriced for instant coffee and instant milk tea but we knew that) and one order of chicken skewers. After our two hours were up (doing nothing) the manager offered us an additional 30mins on the house but I couldn't take up the offer since we already bought movie tickets. In the end, we were just asked to pay for the snacks we ordered which were 3 instant milk teas, 1 instant coffee and 1 order of chicken skewers totaling to $43. They've definitely upgraded their interior, expanding their size but...quality is not any better, if anything, it's gotten worse. What a great new year and birthday for me. Service was great but the service button was a bit annoying.. sounds like a fire alarm which is off putting. If you check into yelp, you get a free shot (1 per person). The digital menu was a bit hard to navigate. Every time I tried to look up an artist in English and type the full name out, the name wouldn't appear but if you typed in just the initials, you could browse the list and find the artists you're looking for. There's a QR code you could scan to download an app (Android only) but that didn't work for us either.. For the price that you pay, it's great for what you great. Mics work, music videos were on point for the most part. $7 shots (we got 5 cookie monsters) but remember not to pick those babies up. I don't always do this, this is my 2nd time writing a bad review but this one I won't be apologetic, whoever was working as a host (male) person on a Saturday night was very rude from the moment we got there, almost like he was mad that we walked in as a group of cousins just trying to have a nice night. He gave us attitude everytime we asked a simple question like how to go about things at their place as far as ordering etc. he gave us attitude when we were trying to figure out how to select songs which was difficult as a person that's using their touch screen to select songs, he made us feel dumb and just had the worst smug attitude, and once we got going, they gave us our drinks that was part of the package and then not event 40 minutes they told us that we gave 5 minutes left, we paid $150* for an hour for the room,. All in all, the attitude that they gave us as an experience was very rude. I don't recommend this place. A more helpful and cheerful person would've held me back from writing this complaint . Terrible KTV place. Customer service deserves 0 stars. I came here with a group of friends to enjoy a good time and ordered a bunch of food and alcohol. Towards the end, we wanted some water to keep hydrated from all the singing and alcohol. We had to ring the bell for someone to come more than 3 times and still didn't get the water. I even went up to the counter and asked for water and the lady told me to self-serve myself at the front from the water dispenser when I asked for a pitcher of water. I clarified my ask and they told me to ring the bell when I told her I already did that 3 times and did not receive the water. In addition, everytime we ordered more food or drinks, the waiter did not acknowledge our order and just walked away. Prices for the food and drinks are also overpriced. I normally don't mind 100 Fun for its cheap, decent, and conveniently located KTV. That is, until today's experience. We came with a coupon that said 15% off, all ready and excited to use it! Hopes were dropped when we learned it was only with a purchase of $100. But where in the coupon did it even say that? If they were going to say that, they could have at least written that on the coupon. Ok, so that's cool. We continue along with our KTV plans. Everything was fine and normal. And then, they pull another dirty trick! We were charged an extra $3 for the Green Tea drinks on the bill! But on the menu, it clearly said $15, not $18. When we questioned, they claim to have updated the menu. But if that's the case, they should have changed the pricing on the menus instead of continuing to misinform people. Also, not even that. Their workers need to communicate better with one another. We had to go through worker after worker to get any of our issues fixed as one would never know what to do and would need to pass it along. We also had this one silent worker who was supposed to get our bill and attend to our Green Tea price issue. Wow wow wow. 100 Fun used to be that subpar KTV joint where we Asian-American youth in high school would stole away to to have a cigarette indoors and get buzzed off of wine coolers for a cheap price. The place has really glowed up since then. Coming here as an adult 10 years later proved to be quite the experience - the lobby was still the same - dark, two hallways, bar, smelling of ash-tray - but the place had upgraded to my eyes. We had a 6 person room with proper ventilation (we were at a place in Koreatown two weeks ago and it was unbearably hot), the song selection was high-tech via touchscreens (no more need to scour through pages and pages of songbooks and misentering codes with my fat thumbs), the videos were almost all updated and the tempo correct (a big problem I've seen), and the service was amazing. Within 5 seconds of pressing the call button, our waitress was at the door. She even made sure that our room smelled fine - the place seemed to constantly be putting up air fresheners. I don't really have much else to say but that for $50/hr, and at a place where you order as much as you room is (ie. you can get drinks/food up to your bill, anything above, you pay it), this place is a real gem in dinky little Brooklyn Chinatown. read more

I've come here a couple of times for karaoke in a private room with a group of 8-10 people. It's cheap but not the cleanest facility. I feel like the bathroom never gets cleaned and the place always smells of cigarette smoke. However, you're only paying $25 an hour (includes food and drink). It's half off ($12.50 an hour) during their off peak hours. They don't have a lot of English songs, mainly Chinese. However, I do like the pole in the private rooms. They updated their karaoke system so it's easy to use since it's a touch screen. It's okay for what it is: cheap place to sing karaoke for a few hours. read more

I've been coming to this place for years since high school days, and they definitely have their good and bad days. If you go once they're open for happy hour, the rooms are much cheaper until 9pm. Drinks are decent priced, $11 for most cocktails, but you can always order by the pitcher for larger groups. They also have a bogo on bottles after 9. We usually get fries ($7) or fishballs for snacks, and then either a bottle of green tea for sober days or cocktails or bottles at night depending on my group size. Service is pretty quick if they're not too busy, but flagging down the bartender during peak hours might take a while if the bar is crowded. The bouncers outside are friendly, as long as you let them do their job they're pretty chill guys to have a convo with. One of the things I noticed though is during room happy hour, the staff tend to rush you for the bill, which is ridiculous considering you're paying for a set number of hours, they have no reason to rush you out unless there are many groups waiting. We came in a bit after 8pm and wanted to stay for 2 hours, well guess when the bill came? After 1.5 hours. Like dude, chill, I have a good 8-9 songs left, stop popping back in to see when the bill is done. The first time he brought the bill in, he just left it, but minutes later he came back in and decided to just stand at the door waiting for us to pay and turned all the lights back on, basically leaving us with no choice but to go. Wtf is this service? We weren't even flat out intoxicated, in fact we were pretty sober. And on my way out, there weren't even people waiting. If you told us someone booked our room or something, ok, but the fact that he was just waiting for us to pay and cut off our time was just plain rude. 100 Fun is a karaoke bar in the heart of Borough Park. I've literally been greeted with the smell of smoke in the entrance every time I've come here over the last 10+ years. But they're quick and almost always have rooms available. It's usually a fixed price per room/hour and you're able to order that dollar amount in food as well, which makes it a pretty sweet deal. They also have "hour hour" rates. They don't always have the newest American songs, but a lot of good classics. Overall a fun time when you're this deep in Brooklyn. read more

My least favorite karaoke experience in NYC. Went for two hours with me and one other friend, only got and paid for the karaoke room. I didn't get drinks, food, or even a water, and the staff bullied me when I almost walked out without leaving a tip. A tip is for gratuitous service and I did not get served anything. Regardless, a tip is still an optional act; if you want more for something, charge more. Its no way to treat customers. On the actual experience, the song list was very much lacking to the point we gave up on thinking of songs and just had to manually brows/settle for what they had. And it felt like 75% of the songs played had wildly incorrect lyrics, or the words were out of sync with the music. The worker busted into our room and told us our time was up, which was fine because we were over the place anyway, but as soon as he left and we stood up to leave, security came in (opening the door as we were trying to leave) asking us what was going on. In terms of the service, it also needs improvement as well. The bill came out wrong twice and it needed to be revised twice during at pay time. The first time they tried charging us $180 more for a a special deal of buy one get one free. They charged $180 for the free selection. The second time they forgot to apply special deal pricing which was ~$120 cheaper. Wow, in total they were overcharging us $300 more... However, the food is good in terms of taste and speed that it comes to the room. Smoking rules do not apply to this place either. People are smoking in the lounge and inside the rooms as well. This is a horrible place! So my friends and I Went there before 7pm and we ordered beers, a pitcher of watermelon juice and some snacks during the time being there. By the time we asked for the check, I saw that we were charge a $50 for 5 juices. I asked the server, he was like oh that's the watermelon juice because 1 cup of watermelon juice is $10 and one pitcher is 5 cups of it.
