Very wonderful delicious noodle place. Very green outside door and menu so you can't really missed it. Great menu choices. Love their noodle - thin, long, chewy and well cook. And this is how I missed HK noodles, perfectly make. Their filling are delish as well and great accompaniment the noodles. The place is nice, clean and well organized. Small but manageable with a dozen tables. Great service and overall, great meal.

Good food and very reasonably priced. Typically HK noodle house decor. Today was the house wonton along with beef brisket and tendon. Relatively yummy and a great place for a quick bite.

Delicious and fast service. The interior is small and normal for a noodle shop in Hong Kong. The noodles and broth are delicious. A must try while in Hong Kong

Tried true Hong Kong Wonton noodle soup for the first time and it was amazing! The broth was so flavorful and delicious! The egg noodle was perfectly cooked and it came with three wontons. It was so good and I would definitely want to come here again while on my trip here!

The voyage to try as much Wonton Mee as possible begins at this very popular chain of restaurants. This particular branch is located in TST. Shop was sizeable enough with a two-seater table here and there. I had the Signature Wonton Noodles (49 HKD) and the mister added the Beef Tendon to his Wonton Noodles (67 HKD). The wontons are something to rave about for sure. These are filled to the brim with whole pieces of shrimp along with additions of wood-eared mushrooms and ground pork. The wrapping was thin, bouncy, and held all the contents in without issue. The broth was lightly oily and rather simple, but I guess that is the HK way. The thin noodles were springy and served al dente, probably the most springy noodles from all the noodle shops we tried. The nice added touch was the complimentary tea served with our meals. As one of the most popular noodle shop brands in HK, it made sense to give them a try. While their branding is quite polished -- with organized English menus as an instant draw to travelers -- and noodles soups tasty enough, there are certainly other noodles shops to try that are slightly better!

Been meaning to try Mak's Noodles. Part of our list to try. We ordered wonton noodle and beef tendon with noodles. The beef tendon was so tender. Yummy. We also ordered Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce. I would definitely come back next time I am in Hong Kong.

Iconic bowl of wonton noodles, it's literally the poster child of what I think about when I hear HK-style wonton noodles. Service is super fast and efficient. The wontons are juicy and filled with pork and shrimp. The noodles are crisp and crunchy. The broth is so complex and fragrant with the chives. The bowls are pretty small and I can easily eat two bowls in one sitting. I definitely recommend grabbing a bowl while in Hong Kong and I will dream about the day I can have another one.

Tasty. A well known name and for good reason. With locations across HK you can count on a good bowl of wonton noodles easily. Shrimpy wontons, light and tasty broth, bouncy noodles. Can't go wrong. It's a small bowl but you can bulk it up with brisket (but note it flavors the soup) and some veggies on the side. Quick reliable meal, worth a visit if you've never been.

Delicious clean bowl of noodles smaller size but very nice. Very nice service with a smile at this location

Great spot for some clean simple well balanced shrimp wonton noodles or beef noodles soup. Good location with good service.

Part of the menu. Signature Won Ton Noodles, the only thing you really need to order if you're stopping by

A must go every time I come to HK. I typically stay in TST and eat here and across the street at the Shanghai Fried Dumpling place. Both are amazing. It's small (VERY small) but the food's so good and they're so efficient at getting you in and out (if you want quick) that it doesn't matter. I wouldn't ever go here for a fancy dinner or date, but business trip? Quick "I just landed and want food" situation? this place is the go to.

My cousin recommended Mak's Noodle after I asked him where he thought had legit won ton mein in Hong Kong. He just went to Hong Kong and loves won ton mein as much as me so I made sure to put Mak's Noodle on our itinerary. If they have been making won ton mein since the 1920's, earned 1 Michelin Star and with so many locations, they must be good. I read that they are usually busy with a line but when we arrived, we were fortunate to be seated right away. It was surprising due to the rainy weather but I'm not complaining. The restaurant is clean and upscale looking. Customer service was friendly but a little slow. I have to admit I didn't know what to order but I finally decided on Beef Tendon & Wonton Noodles. Mink got the Beef Brisket & Wonton Noodles. I also ordered a side of Pig Feet for the table to share. The noodles in the wonton mein were the perfect amount of chewiness and the broth was so good. Each piece of wonton was plump and the tendon was so soft. Mink's beef brisket was tender and the pig feet was just falling off the bones. It was a great recommendation by my cousin and I can't wait to come back.

Wonton & Beef Brisket mein

Wonton mein was one of my must eats during our trip to HK, and Mak's noodle did not disappoint. My fiance & I both ordered a wonton mein (+brisket for his) and a plate of veggies, which came out to $156 HKD. Wonton mein here was good - the noodles had a really springy texture, broth was well seasoned, and the wontons were tasty. The pictures are a bit deceiving - the portions look massive, but our actual orders weren't too big. It was a decent portion, but not large by any means. My fiance's wonton mein bordered a bit on the saltier side with the addition of the brisket sauce, but it did add to the depth of flavor. I wouldn't say that Mak's was my favorite wonton mein overall during this trip, but that's really because of the quality of food in HK overall. There are better options elsewhere, but this was a solid option nonetheless.

Good food. Strange that its basically across the street from Chee Kei (another one of the HK wonton noodle institutions). Great texture for the noodles, good soup, and tasty wontons. Good value at under 50hkd for a bowl. Good value being so close (walking distance) from the high end shops, museums, etc in TST.

This is the best wonton noodles that you can find in HK and in the world. You would regret if you don't try it before you leave HK.

We met friends for dinner and actually went to the wrong restaurant, for there is another Star of Canton just up the street at I Square too and we went there by accident. This restaurant has an expansive and striking view of the harbor, high ceilings, big glassy chandeliers and is very spacious. There is a stage and so much room that it seems like the appropriate spot to have a banquet or wedding. It is one of those large Chinese restaurants that serves a lot of people and thus the soft goods (carpet, chairs, linens, etc) seem warn and need updating. Although I did not do the ordering and did not pay the bill, in addition to special orders of hairy crabs at an additional cost, we had a set dinner with like 7 courses for around $400HKD (which seemed like a great value, knowing all the delicious food we had). The set included their highlighted dish of Braised Whole Japanese Oma Abalone, in addition to marinated sea cucumbers, shrimp, sticky rice, a great soup with bean curd on top and although small and at the very end, a seasame rice ball that was really spectacular & a party in your mouth. Found in 1998, Star of Canton insists the tradition of the canton dishes with less oil, less salt, no MSG and no artificial colour. I like that and it is a niche in a sea of Chinese restaurant options. We had a good experience and liked the ambiance of the place, so we would reccomend and absolutely go back.

We did not know it was a 2 star Michelin restaurant, and I was a bit apprehensive at the beginning, because we did not want to spend too much money on food on this trip. Upon our request, we were seated right in front of the Harbour view and were able to see the light show that start around 8pm. The most beautiful view of HK at night! We opted not to order the duck, which needs to be ordered 24 hour in advance and although I am sure quite delicious is quite pricy (HK$1,438+10%). Reservation in this place is a must! Highlights were the Wok-fried Wagyu with Green Peppers, Mushrooms and Garlic, Wok-seared Chicken Fillet with Lemon Sauce The server was so kind as to give us half servings so we could "sample" some of the more expensive items, add fried rice for substitution with the meat dishes and free desert. This flexibility in providing half portion and substitution is something i've rarely experience in a Michelin restaurant. Overall, we payed $US240 (1,900 Hong Kong Dollar) which includes the 10% service charge for two people for a michelin 2 star restaurant for an unforgettable meal! If I return to HK, I will definitely come back and try their dim sum.
