Yummed it up!!!
Olivia L.

When we first walked in; my nose twitched when i smelled the magnificent spell of PIZZA!!! The service was very quick, but i'm on the bigger side and i had not eaten in a HOLE hour. I LOVED IT; the pizza was the best thing i had ever done and the taste brought me back it my childhood memories. It was very clean and the music was amazing. Thank ya ZZA

Margherita Pizza

Don't even think about asking the owner for a side of " Ranch" because you don't need it! Lol The sauce is so good and the pizza is bomb ! I absolutely crave this delicious pizza and will drive across town just to go get it! Yum! And, it's a bad habit to always have some ranch with my pizza so when I asked the owner he gave me a look ! ( lol I kept my head down of shame ) and he had told me I'll go ahead and give you some but your not gonna need it with my pizza ! And, sure enough I returned the ranch and he was so right! 100% The staff is super cool and the place is clean and the pizza is soooooooooo good! They play some nice reggae music! And, I love the bathroom sign . " Everybody " Enough said. 5 stars all the way just writing this review makes me want to go get a pizza !

Thai Dye

Nicest teens in all of Austin work here. If their parents are reading this, they are prompt, very respectful, and the best service I've had in all of Austin. The Thai Dye pizza I got came out piping hot, with fresh veggie ingredients, (fresh cilantro) in a timely fashion. Really impressed with this hidden Austin gem. It's like Mod fast casual, but better. And you can't go wrong with the Simon and Garfunkel and Bob Dylan music. I'll be back! Thank you!

Cinnamon Sugar Bread

I just ate here for the first time. I got the pepperoni pizza and it was very good. It's about he right size for 1 person. The flavor of the cheese and bread and sauce was exceptional. It is very thin crust, which makes it come out fast. I also got the cinnamon stick dessert and it was very good. It's kind of like a pizza burrito. The service was great and very friendly. We will definitely be back.

It's kind of expensive for a small pizza but really good. I live an hour away or I'd be back more often.

Chicknic

Chicknic

Move over Fresa's!! There's a new chick in town!…read more Not only are the ingredients fresh, you can taste the quality! We were shopping in Bee Cave and got hungry, so I went to Yelp to discover this cute little place. I did learn that they are mainly a "take away" model hence the play on words "picnic" on their name. But there are a few tables and bar counter that you can dine in. We ordered a bit of food- 1. Half roasted chicken 2. Hot wings 3. Roasted Beets 4. Kale side salad 5. Fun selection of NE brand beers! Yes they have wine and unique beer selection there! The roasted chicken was definitely brined- it was super juicy and the chimichurri and salsa complimented it wonderfully. It was explained to me the chicken were free range and how they are raised humanely, reminded me of an episode in a tv series- Portlandia that made me chuckle. The hot wings... Buffalo style but not like at Anchor Bar.. still amazing in its own right. Fresh (I mean there were zero dry spots on carrots and celery and it was crunchy fresh that even me, the non-celery lover- ate 4 sticks with their tasty homemade ranch sauce. (I think it was the ranch dressing bc I literally licked the bowl clean) The roasted beets were served cold with feta cheese crumbles, mint and pistachios. I could eat that by itself as a meal! Yummy! Now, I usually hate kale. Only like it roasted. But I can eat Chicknic's Kale side salad all day long. It contains roasted cauliflower, pickled red onion and a mountain of pumpkin and sunflower seeds! (Maybe that's why I like it so much??) All washed down with a brown ale beer you find in the NE. While we were dining, several people came by to pick up their to go orders and there is a fun freezer where they sell delicious take aways like chicken soup and their famous chicken pot pie, chicken crepes, chicken enchiladas... oh did I mention this is a great place if you're on a keto diet or gluten free restriction?!?? I also found if you follow their Facebook page, you can see new menu items or transparency of how they run their business. What you waiting for? Give this place a try and support local!

The chicken is so tender and flavorful. Very fresh salad nice touch by adding fennel and orange segments. Comes with a delicious homemade ranch, but I also tried the lemon aïoli on the side. My absolute favorite dish is the fried fish and chips--perfectly crispy on the outside and tender and flavorful on the inside. It's honestly one of the best versions I've had anywhere. On my most recent visit, I also tried the lettuce tacos, which seem to be really popular there right now. The moment I took my first bite I fell in love with the flavor. They were fresh, light, and packed with amazing taste. I ended up eating the whole thing right away because they were just that good. I also ordered the fried dill pickles, which are another personal favorite of mine. They were perfectly fried and full of flavor. One thing I've noticed every time I visit is that the restaurant is always busy, which says a lot. It's clear that many people love their Mediterranean menu, and after eating here multiple times, I completely understand why. I also enjoyed sitting outside at the Hill Country Galleria--it's a great atmosphere to relax and enjoy your meal. I highly recommend Artemis Mediterranean Grill if you're in the area. The food is delicious, the menu has something for everyone, and it's definitely a place I'll keep coming back to.

However, my shrimp pita only contained three shrimp. I opted for a Greek salad instead of fries. My husband said his dish was fine. Overall, the restaurant was much more crowded than I expected for a Thursday night in Bee Caves. The staff did their best to keep up with the demand. Although I saw two servers, the manager also helped out where he could. It took a while for us to be acknowledged and for our orders to be taken. However, the food came out quickly after we ordered. The place has a large patio area as well as indoor seating, plus a sizable bar with TVs. I felt the food was fresh and well-prepared. I do wish there had been more shrimp in my pita and that the price was lower. I paid $19 for a pita with just three shrimp, and there was an extra charge for the salad instead of fries. Since we don't eat out as much as we used to, I'm not sure when we will return.

Review: VIVEL - Lakeway…read more VIVEL in Lakeway never fails me. Every single time I come in, the food is perfect. It truly feels like a neighborhood restaurant that everyone loves--locals constantly gathering here for coffee, great food, and good company. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, making it a place people naturally return to again and again. This visit, I ordered the classic hamburger with French fries, and it was excellent--simple, fresh, and cooked just right. I also had their Moon Latte, which was absolutely delicious. Everything was spot-on. VIVEL is a wonderful place to enjoy time with friends, family, and even children. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for incredible cuisine, great coffee, and a warm neighborhood vibe.

The food is consistently good, and most of the staff have always been incredibly sweet, welcoming, and helpful. That said, we had a really disappointing experience during our last visit that felt worth sharing. A younger female employee with a long dark ponytail brought our food over, I think she was a food runner - but she wasn't wearing the Vivel branded t shirt like the other employees. When my husband politely asked for ketchup, she visibly rolled her eyes before bringing it. When I then asked if I could please have a knife (I'm seven months pregnant, for context), she started to walk to get one, took two steps, turned back and said "you can go get it yourself". It felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive, especially given how quiet the café was at the time. We stayed for a while after and watched her standing by the counter organizing utensils, so it wasn't a matter of being too busy. We really like this place and will continue coming back, but this interaction stood out in a negative way and didn't reflect the level of service we've experienced before.

The soup was light but really flavorful, just comforting and done right. I also ordered the black pepper and salt chicken wings, and honestly, these are some of my favorites anywhere. I love chicken wings and try them all over, and these are definitely at the top of my list. I got the crispy egg noodle dish with tofu (that's just my preference), and it was so good. You can add chicken, beef, or seafood if you want, but the tofu was delicious and really hit the spot. One thing I always notice is how welcoming this place is. I was seated right away, and the staff is just genuinely friendly. They treat you like family, which makes a big difference. I come here a lot--especially when I don't feel like cooking, I'm in a hurry, or just getting back into town and want something I know will be good. The food always feels fresh, with lots of vegetables, and just overall really satisfying. Definitely a 5-star spot for me. I'll keep coming back. Food: 2, Service: 1, Ambiance: unsure, we were doing takeout…read more AVOID this place if you have gluten allergies. The menu falsely lists many items as gluten-free and they know it but haven't fixed it for months. We ordered food based on my sister's recommendation and strong Yelp reviews. It turns out that if you have celiac disease, you should RUN AWAY. Their online menu, which is the only way to do a take out order, lists many, many items as gluten-free which was awesome, especially since some of the items can be difficult to find gluten free. We ordered the spring rolls, salad, salt and pepper tofu, and salt and pepper shrimp, all of which are listed as GF. The spring rolls were delicious and we were impressed since we thought they were making the pork gluten free. The salad had fried wonton strips all over them so that was no longer an option, and we skipped that for the entrees. We expected there would be some softening of the crispness due to it being in a closed container. But they weren't even fried at the right temperature and we had chewy, uncooked batter in parts of the shrimp, while the some of the tofu pieces were overcooked and had burn spots. Although disappointing, it wasn't the worst takeout we've ever had. Until about 8 hours later. For the next 6 hours, it was severe cramps and diarrhea. We called the restaurant the next day to ask about any cross contamination. It turns out that the online menu DOES NOT accurately list what is and is not GF, and NOTHING we ordered was GF. The pork is made with regular soy sauce, the batter isn't GF, and everything fried goes in the same fryer. The young man apologized and we could tell he sincerely felt bad, but we were shocked at how unconcerned the management was about the accuracy of allergen information and how long it had been wrong. They didn't even offer to comp the meal after causing such a severe illness. It's been 6 days and still things aren't back to normal yet. Food allergies can be life threatening and they shouldn't be so casual about it. This restaurant should be shut down until they update their entire menu to reflect allergens correctly. The only reason the food got a 2/5 rating was because the non-GF people said their food was fine.
