    Turkey club melt Sub
    Kristen M.

We are in Austin for the week and decided pizza would be an easy win for the kids so we settled on Jersey Giant. The place is smaller but there is seating for probably up to 15 ish inside then a few more at picnic tables outside. Staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered 2- 18" pizzas - 18 inches is WAY larger than you think, we had way more than we needed plus my husband got the turkey club melt sub. Food took awhile to come, maybe 20-30 minutes- that's par for the course with freshly made so we didnt mind. Our pizzas came out HOT and delicious! My husbands sandwich came out shortly after and he devoured it. The pizzas had fresh ingredients and tasted great! My family of four could have easily gotten by with just 1 pizza but you live and you learn lol

This spot is next to a gas station it's small but the decor is awesome with pictures of old movies and actors ( ie Sorpranos, Goodfellas) all things New York. Service is great friendly and fast. The pizza is the star of the show of course. It's a very large slice of pizza and affordable. The taste of this " fuggetaboutit" it's scrumptious do your tastebuds a favor come grab a slice maybe two you will not be sorry you'll be back for more . I know I will be !!

The pizza here was excellent, we ordered several huge 24" pizzas and a lot of wings as a take-out for 24 people. Everything was delicious, very highly recommended!

Crispy crust, zero grease, and full-on flavor! Walked into Jersey Giant Pizza expecting gas station vibes... walked out questioning my entire life up to this point. I ordered just two slices (pepperoni and Hawaiian because I like chaos), and let me tell you -- the crust? So perfectly crispy I almost proposed to it. The grease? Nonexistent. Like it ghosted the pizza completely, and I'm here for that kind of drama. Bonus points: No floppy New York slice syndrome. These slices held their own like they were doing pushups in the oven. I'm not saying this pizza changed my life... but I am saying I might name my next pet after it. 10/10 would abandon all future diet plans here again.

8.95 for two of these and a drink plus tax can't beat that price best pizza around here

Five star just for how filling and huge and value-for-money this pizza place is. I think the quality of the pizza itself might be more like a 4/5 but when you add in the fact that the pizza is so worth the price, has their own delivery service, and 1.5 slices can fill you up, it's definitely a 5/5 at that point. This place says it's Jersey style pizza but my friend from NJ says it's closer to NYC. I don't know if it really matters though because we're in TX and everything is bigger here, including the pizzas apparently. This photo can't properly demonstrate how large this pizza is but the pizza box is completely covering me! They also let you split the pizza half and half for combos, which is definitely needed for how big the pizzas are. Great pizza to get for a party, that's for sure!

First time here, but as others have stated, without a doubt the best pizza in and around Austin. We have driven by many times but never when they are open but today, as we drove by I saw the lights and made a quick U-turn to give them a try. So glad we stopped! As others have pointed out, they clearly make their sauce. This is one of my biggest complaints from other places who use a very bland tasting sauce. But not here; the sauce alone makes the pizza! But their dough, thin and just the right amount of crispiness. Not so hard like a pretzel but not soft like uncooked pizza dough from most other places. The cheese is amazing! They are using real cheese and you can tell by the "stretchiness" of their cheese. This time we just had a slice of pepperoni and it really was amazing! We are looking forward to trying one of their pies with more ingredients as well. I hope as this area grows... they will partner with Uber Eats or Grub Hub. Bottom line, if you are in the area, make sure to stop off like we did and you'll be convinced how amazing this pizza is.

With a side of salad and Garlic bread. Everything was good and tasty. The noodles were fresh, thick, and different. However, it was super salty. Did I pick the wrong sauce perhaps or was the chef a bit heavy handed on the salt? 5. Cleanliness - Dining area was outdoors in the back on a cold day. Good thing they had a heating lamp near by. They managed their tables well. No dirty plates lingering around. Restrooms were not bad either. Small, but clean. SUMMARY It's great that they make fresh noodles, but $20+ for a plate of noodles is a bit much. Overly paying for salty food, I rather go to a chain Italian restaurant. Not worth the hype in my opinion.

I ordered the Sunset drink, a fresh Greek salad with warm bread and olive oil, and the fettuccine with shrimp -- and every single bite was absolutely incredible. The Greek salad was crisp and flavorful, the bread and olive oil were the perfect start to the meal, and the shrimp fettuccine was cooked to perfection. Everything tasted fresh, authentic, and made with care. I truly couldn't have been happier with my choices. I sat outside enjoying the beautiful weather, and it was such a pleasant atmosphere. The staff was genuinely kind and welcoming, and you could see happy regulars coming and going -- which always says a lot about a restaurant. It felt warm, friendly, and inviting. When I got home, I was still talking about how thrilled I was that I decided to try Carmela's for the very first time. This is an authentic, honest 5-star review -- and I absolutely will be back. Never heard of this place but got a coupon in the mail for a buy one lunch, get a free lunch…read more Decided to try it as I'm always looking for decent Italian food. As it turns out the coupon was only good during the week and it was Saturday. No big deal. I ordered a Meatball Sandwich, my friend an Italian Sandwich (after asking our excellent young waitress about it). She brought out two very tasty types of bread with olive oil for dipping. The sandwiches came with Garlic Fries. The Fries were delicious but unfortunately mine were lukewarm. I certainly could have asked for a fresh portion, but was hungry enough not to bother. That's the reason my rating wasn't 5 Star. Because the restaurant was pretty empty on this Saturday afternoon, I feel the Chef shouldn't have sent out fries that weren't piping hot. The Meatball Sandwich however was marvelous. Freshly made, tasty meatballs with sauce and cheese on their focaccia bread was a real treat. I took half home and ate the rest for dinner. All in all, I'd come back here again as the food was excellent as well as the service.

Must serve tons of spaghetti and meat sauce for the kids. But we're not here for the early bird family special. This is big time birthday celebration for the patriarch of this gang of Bostonians out for some wicked Italian food. We started with the beautiful bread basket nice fresh slices with some soft focaccia. The Calamari was standard some crispy tentacles with tough chewy meat. Meatball appetizers were big and beautifully blended globs of ground beef and sausage served with sauce. Now the it's Primo time. The Molto Grande Patti. Pork Chops with Giardiniera . Somebody forgot to make golden brown cutlets so they served an overcooked slab of pork chop underneath an assortment of pickled vegetables over a bed of pasta in red sauce. The only taste was pickled everything. Back to the kitchen and off the table. Veal Piccata consisted of two slices of meat, non tenderized, non dredged in flour and non pan seared. Served atop linguini swimming in a sea of lemon sauce and capers. What a wonderful disaster this was. Then the Lasagna served in casserole. If the traditional Lasagna is too time consuming to make then don't fake it with a casserole that the old Irish Lady makes. Good lasagna is made with layers of pasta, rich sauce, gooey cheese made with ricotta, mozzarella and parmigiano cheeses and loads of ground beef and sausage. Come on that's too easy to mess up with this awful thing you put in front of me. Ok the Penne was cooked to perfection. The sauce with green floating in it tasted good once I got past the floating algae. Sorry Folks but Cousin Louie's is best left for the kids spaghetti feast. No place for grown ups to dine.
