Via 313 Pizza is a Detroit Style Pizza chain in the Austin area that specializes in Detroit Style pizza. There are multiple locations in the Austin area. This review is for the Bee Cave spot. My Overall Rating - 3 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food) Atmosphere - Via 313 Pizza has plenty of assorted tables and booths. The seats are bright, cherry red and the tables are black. The walls were adorned with assorted hubcaps, giving a nice nod to its Detroit roots. The patrons here are mostly families (in case you're looking to avoid the college crowds). The bar has several beers on tap. But most importantly, it's clean. 1 Star. Service - Our server was great. He was very friendly and invited us to learn about Via 313's origins (the 313 is Detroit's area code). He made several suggestions and was always checking in on us. We felt very welcome. 1 Star. Food - Detroit Style pizza is baked in a pan creatin a cheese-crusted edge. Via 313's crust is also light, airy, and has a great crunch. I went with the Ambassador Bridge, which is pretty as it is tasty. The best part of this pizza was the dollops of ricotta cheese. Detroit sauce runs up and down the pizza, which adds to the look and the flavor. Everything was good - not great. I've had better Detroit style pizzas, but Via 313's is up there. 1 Star. Will I Return? - No. There's nothing wrong with this family friendly Bee Cave location. It's just out of the Austin city limits, and in order for me to come back it has to be some of the best Detroit Style pizza I've ever had. No Stars. read more

I just absolutely love this restaurant, First and foremost I wanted to try a different dish so I tried the meatballs which were very good very delicious and the Italian seasonings We're absolutely just right. What I really enjoyed was the beet salad tonight I had that before and I just had to Order this again this is one of my favorite dishes. So the place was very quiet but yet the waiter was very attentive and I was very pleased with the service I got tonight. I also ordered a light beer that made my dish even better. I know a lot of people don't like beer with their meatballs but I certainly did and it was perfect. Second thing that I wanted to order was something sweet so there was a pudding that was on the menu so I decided to try that and it was absolutely incredibly delicious. Yes you have to try that when you do visit a Via 313 Pizza. Happy I made it out tonight I'm so glad I did it hit the spot seriously. read more

LOVE this PIZZA! Enough said... but really, it always hits the spot and I lost my job recently due to the state of the nation and my family has limited going out to eat until I land another position. But I was having a procedure done that I had procrastinated on and treated myself. Of course my #1 pick was the nearest Via 313! It was take out and absolutely delish! read more

Via 313 has great pizza and I think it's pretty consistent. I've done take out and recently sat at the bar. The service was friendly and attentive. The pizza comes out hot with the best crust. I had a hibiscus cocktail that was tasty, good flavors. I think the restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. Seems like a great casual spot. read more

Best service I've had in a long time. Didn't get our servers name but we ate around 3 PM on 7/10. They all need a raise. Also, it's a super cute restaurant. read more

I always love Via. First visit to this location, and it did not disappoint. Shawn was a great server who kept me hydrated and brought my food quickly and all was great. I forgot how good the Brussels sprouts are! Will be back next time I'm in town for sure! read more

Our usual 313 is the Oak Hill location but considering Bee Cave is much closer we thought we'd give it a go. We had 313 delivered & the first bite into my pizza I chomped down on METAL. We were offered a refund but haven't received it, yet. Though a refund doesn't really seem adequate to finding metal in your food. Super disappointed & will continue to drive the extra mile to the Oak Hill location. read more

This place is legit if you are craving amazing Detroit style pizza. I am a fan of Detroit pizza since it is a hybrid of deep dish but still keeps that crispy bottom and soft center. The toppings were plentiful, not stingy at all. The tomato sauce is perfectly seasoned, not overly sweet. We had the Detroiter and Omnivore. The detroiter had plenty of pepperoni and they had the crispy edges. The omnivore comes with pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, onion and green pepper with the tomato sauce on top. Both excellent choices and extremely filling. We also started with a Caesar salad. Classically dressed with crunchy croutons and a delicious Parmesan crisp twill! Service was great and the meal was filling. Looking forward to coming back to try some of the drink specials as they looked and sounded great but it's hard for me to eat and have drinks and I couldn't pass up the food as the smells were too enticing. read more

Great food/pizza. People are very polite with strong customer service. Pick up times shave always been on time.

We visited on their opening weekend and the place was packed, as expected! All employees were hustling to keep up with the crowd. They are known for their Detroit style pizzas, and that's also what I'd recommend. The ambassador bridge pizza came out hot with melty cheese and ricotta made in house. It was fresh and delicious. You can't go wrong with the carnivore pizza if you like meats. Even the small pizzas are a big portion so we always have plenty leftover. The cinnamon sticks were surprisingly good. They arrived hot and gooey. The only thing we didn't care for was the broccoli and cauliflower starter. It needed more time in the oven and more flavor. Sitting at the bar, we observed bartenders churning out cocktails, but there was little consistency in the drinks. The same cocktails looked quite different from one order to the next. The pours were too low as well, meaning they either didn't make enough or they needed a bigger ice cube to fill the space but they used a small cube instead, especially with the old fashioned. I'm sure with it being the opening weekend, they'll work this out quickly. Overall, friendly service and good food! We'll be back. read more

This is an Austin chain of Detroit-style pizza restaurants that has been growing aggressively, and this new Bee Cave location is brand new. It's not too big, but it has a bar serving mixed drinks under a TV on the left side, then a dining room with three rows of booths and tables, and then a separate entrance for the take out orders, which seems like a good idea. I dearly wanted to take off stars for the loud aggressive music and the rather ugly industrial interior design, but when my food arrived I forgot about all that. The vegetarian pizza I ordered was phenomenal and it's rare for me to go without meat on a pizza, so this was doubly surprising. The Detroit style is also excellent with two layers of pepperoni and of course sauce on top in their regional twist. The dough is excellent with a slightly chewy feel that gives the perfect body for the ingredients Since this is inspired by Detroit you'll also get a chance to try other Midwest treats like the Superman ice cream for dessert that is a colorful trio of flavors that is never seen here together usually. Also treat yourself to a glass bottle of Faygo, the regional soda that makes a brilliant Rock & Rye non-alcoholic soda that may become one of your favorites like it is for me. I can see this getting crowded once people find out it's open, but there's always take-out and you still get the same great food. The employees were friendly and even when there's a wait I have no doubt you'll be taken care of. read more

I love that Via 313 has finally arrived in Bee Cave/Lakeway! It's been a while since we visited other Austin locations, but it never disappointed us. So it was quite by accident that we stumbled upon the soft launch this past Sat. We were treated to a free box of pepperoni breadsticks and cinnamon breadsticks and it inspired us to return today (early) to check out the bar. Super glad we did! Note: The pizza's are always good at Via313 and I'm sure others will review them. This review is only about my bar experience. The liquor options were small, but well curated. Check out my pict of a few specialty drink options. Nice creative riff's on some classics. Several local beers are on tap, as well as a Cider but there is limited wine (which is ok unless your a wine connoisseur). On to the drinking experience! First I tried the Hibiscus Margarita which was well balanced and surprisingly not too sweet. If I order it again I'd just ask for a dash extra lime since I tend to prefer a slightly more tart marg. Next up I was curious about the Metro Man Hat, which you can imagine is a riff on a Manhattan. I do like Amaro based cocktails and the addition of Amaro Nonino and Peach Bitters were very apparent. This is one that I will likely replicate at home - if I can find the Amaro Nonino! It's a grappa based amaro that lends so many diff layers to the drink, but be warned! It also adds a slight hotness to the finish that may need taming for some. Just allow that beautiful clear ice cube to melt a bit and that should do it. Finally - let's talk service. We arrived just before 5, and there was ample seating. Over the course of the hourish we were there, it filled up and eventually there was a wait for tables and bar seats. Go early if you can! Staff was very friendly and service was good but not outstanding. I'm happy to overlook this given they just opened and I suspect it's more about folks getting into their grove in a new bar arrangement. In general, if you flagged them for something, you were taken care of, but they weren't always observant of others who patiently waited for the bar staff to ask. Overall - I super happy to have this Austin favorite in a location close to home. It will def be a place we visit often (and they are dog friendly!!) read more

If you like deep dish Detroit style pizza, this place is great. Pizza is thick and delicious. They have the smaller thin crust, round pizzas as well but we didn't try those on this trip. Excellent mix of ingredients and options to choose from including options for Vegans, yay!! Delivery is not an option yet but if you call ahead, pickup is usually ready in 30 mins or so. Service was friendly. read more

We love this spot. Amazing pizza, salads, appetizers and dessert. There are a lot of pizza places in town and this one is top notch. Beyond the food being good, the service is amazing. Our sever tonight was one of the most attentive, helpful and kind humans I've met. Caleb is incredible! We had 2 energetic kids, which Caleb was patient and sweet with them and communicated our food status, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great meal. If there is such a thing requesting a server or section, do yourself a favor and ask for Caleb. You will not be disappointed. read more

I have always like Via313 pizza because they make a delicious gluten free dairy free pizza even though it is pricey. Both the Oak Hill and Bee Cave locations have had my business. That might change. Monday night my daughter stopped to pick up an order at the Bee Cave store on her way to our house. She phoned in the order and said "submit" at the end of what sounded like an automated call. When she arrived, the store had not received her order so she had to wait for it to be prepared. Upon paying the bill she noticed a 20% tip had been added. There was no signage indicating this policy. She questioned two people who said that was standard policy. A 20% automatic tip on take-out? Without notice? I usually tip on take-out, but certainly not 20%! If this is a new policy, I will not be getting pizza at Via313 again. Their service was very poor. I can buy pizza elsewhere. read more

Delivered cold. Didn't follow instructions. Way over priced for size. Seems like there's better elsewhere.

This place has the BEST gluten free pizza. It's a game changer!!! I recommend the GF dessert pizza also.

Via 313 has been a family favorite since they opened the store in Oak Hill! During Covid I didn't care that there was a 1.5 hr wait for a pie...I went shopping and picked it up after! The Bee Cave location is too super, dangerously convenient. Love the Antipasta Salad and a small Detroiter with jalapenos! Mmmmm... Friendly staff and always amazing food. Love the new App with rewards points! I'm a loyal fan!! read more

Via 313 Pizza - Mmmmmmm pure de-lish-ous-ness!!! - Pizza Near Me - Bee Cave, Texas

First time trying Via 313 and it did not disappoint. We got the Detroiter and the Cadillac, and both were super tasty. The crust is thick and crispy on the edges but soft in the middle--really different from regular pizza but in a good way. The Detroiter had lots of pepperoni and a little spice, and the Cadillac had this sweet and salty thing going on with the fig and prosciutto. Sounds weird, but it totally works. Service was friendly and quick, and the place has a chill vibe. Definitely recommend if you're looking for something different from your usual pizza spot. Will be back for sure! read more

Honestly hands down one of the best pizza places I love to go to for pizza night or just because. Their Bar style pepperoni pizza and Cheese Bread is a guilty pleasure and don't even get me started on their RANCH!! 10/10 love this place read more

Good for Detroit styled pizza but can get busy so I would recommend to plan accordingly.

some of the best Detroit-style pizza I've ever had. The crust is perfectly crisp on the edges and soft inside, with just the right amount of chew. The sauce-on-top style gives every bite a bold, balanced flavor, and the toppings are high quality and generously portioned--especially the pepperoni, which curls up into crispy little edges that add the perfect texture. The service is just as impressive. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely seems to care that you're having a good experience. They're quick with refills, helpful with recommendations, and keep things moving without ever making you feel rushed. If you're craving comfort food done right, Via 313 should be at the top of your list. read more

The food is consistently great... the bad part is the service is just as consistently bad. Slow, inattentive, and/or with an attitude that screams "I don't want to work here." It's a shame, because, like I mentioned, the food is great. read more

The pizza here is to die for! The interior ambiance is very upscale and groovy or pizza joint. I would say it's worth visiting just to check it out and order a beer and a little bit of pizza. Tends to be more on the thin crust style side but it's very well cooked and I think we've been disappointed. Great for kids or a meeting with coworkers. It's a little bit pricey but that's what you should come to expect from a place that has a snazzy designed interior and cool people working there read more

Yes... best pizza is their original deep dish. Their thin crust tastes like cardboard.. but they deserve 5 star for their original Detroit style deep dish. I'm giving them a four-star because their in person service was very very slow and my last encounter, it was a delivery and it took over 1 1/2 hours. The 6 pizzas for our party arrived by 3rd party delivery service less than warm. Just go in person. It's great great pizza if hot and original crust. But I still will consider the best pizza place across from the bee cave baseball fields, that little place next to the gas station.. read more

The pizza is great, but as many others have noted, the service needs a lot of work. We were greeted and seated pretty quickly, and our server seemed very polite. My wife and I both ordered small deep dish pizzas, then we waited. And waited. And waited. It took 45 minutes to get two small pizzas. We were seated right next to the kitchen. It wasn't the server's fault, as there were 3-4 of them waiting around the pickup area for orders to come out. At one point we were (halfway) joking about getting up and going to the biscuit place a few doors down to tide us over while we waited. It's a shame because the pizza was actually really good, nice tang to the sauce, nice crispy edges that actually provide texture. But that wait...yikes! read more

Wonderful food and service. Highly recommend when you're in the mood for great pizza and atmosphere!

Walked into this establishment a little over an hour before closing on a Saturday night. While we knew this was cutting it close we planned on placing an order to go, anything that would be minimally invasive to the employees so we could be sure to leave before closing. However, we were denied a seat and placing an order, we made it not two steps within the establishment before an employee accosted us and informed us that they were closed in a dismissive tone. Despite being over an hour before closing, we understood and walked back out. I would not be writing this review at all but for the couple (and their dog) I saw enter not 5 minutes after us, get seated and handed a menu. This place was rude, dismissive, and clearly needs to update their operating hours. read more

We ordered for pick up and it was fantastic! I'm so happy that they brought this wonderful pizzeria to bee cave location! Couple of tips: Make sure you order ahead of time with plenty of time their pizzas take a a while to make (worth it! ) and it's very popular, so make sure you plan ahead. The restaurant has a little patio that you can wait at or eat at, very cute! Not too much space for the kiddos to run around, so just keep that in mind. Will definitely be ordering again and next time I will get pictures! read more

Just left. Sad. Sat with my wife for 10 minutes in our booth and nobody came to our table after we were seated. The table literally diagonally from us, the server staff lady spent quite awhile talking with the two men at the table. She even said not to worry and that she would get them more crostini for their meatballs. Quite nice of her. Another couple came in after us and we're attended to in about two minutes. So...we left. The staff walked by multiple times while we sat there. Wednesday. June 7th, around 12:25PM. Not crowded at all. Plenty of employees present. Very disappointing service. I kindly suggest that customers be served, if not at least acknowledge that they are busy and will be right with us...which they were not (busy). We live in and love Bee Cave and had hoped this location for 313 would bring a fun pizza place to town. Now we will never know. I sincerely hope this does not happen to anyone else. read more

The food is always good but it takes way more time to get your pizza than it used to. It isn't the service, it's the kitchen! One time we waited an hour and got a burned pizza. Not sure how I feel about it. Just saw them serve a black burnt pizza to another table! read more
