We just tried out Via 313 for the first time and it was great! I have to give a feature to the artichoke appetizer. It was amazing!!!! The picture I'm posting is already post being eaten- but it was so good. Would definitely go back just for that dish. We also had the antipasta salad and bar style pizza. Both were very good. First time to have real Detroit style pizza and Loved it. Deep dish square pan with cheese on the bottom and sauce layer on top. Visited one in Austin on our way home to Houston and well worth's the stop. We will be getting one real soon about a mile from my house in Clearlake. It will be a regular place for us once it opens. First let me say that I LOVE Via 313 pizza! The Detroiter is to die for! So I was excited to try the new location on 620, which is a little closer to home for me. There was plenty of parking when we met our friends there on a Sunday afternoon. The inside of the place is super casual, and the music was a little overwhelming at times. Our servers were quite attentive. We ordered our favorite pizza, looking forward to some stretchy cheese and yummy, focaccia like crust. I think perhaps our pizza had been made in advance, and it was served to us barely warm. Our friends ordered a think crust Hawaiian pizza and loved it. They got some very fresh looking salads, too. Would I recommend this location? Not sure. If I could be guaranteed a hot, fresh Detroiter, I'd be back in a minute. read more

First time trying Via 313 and it was absolutely amazing! The cheese bread was perfect, the crispy cheese crust on the Detroit style.. I'm still thinking about it, and the cinnamon sticks were gone in 10 seconds. But I must say my favorite part was our sweet waitress Kim! She was pure sunshine and made us feel right at home. We love Via 313 and are happy they have opened in Bee Cave! We have ordered take out from Oak Hill. We stopped in for lunch this time as a party of 2. We ordered a large Caesar to share and also a small Detroit style pizza. If you haven't had Detroit style, it's thick crust and thick pizza! It does take awhile to cook such a thick dough- just like a Chicago style pizza would. You need to be aware of the time, but if you are okay with that- go for it. We had a great experience here. The roasted Brussels sprouts were delicious and we had the pizza of the month, jalapeño poppa! It was fantastic. They are definitely having a hard time keeping this place staffed. There was a single young lady waitressing for the whole restaurant when we went. I was hoping to find a way to reach out directly to the company but after searching through their website the "contact us" option lead to nowhere. Last night was my first time to this place and I was excited because I'd heard such great things about their GF crust and it's hard to find one around here. I sat at the bar with the intention of having a drink and appetizer while I waited to take pizza home to my family. I walked in and sat down at about 5:15pm. I'd worked all day so I was tired, dressed in scrubs and really looking forward to not having to cook. I waited for about 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged I was there. I wasn't t given a menu so I looked it up online and when the bar tender approached I told him I was going to order an appetizer and a drink as well as a couple of pizzas to go. I put in my order at about 5:45. I watched a couple people who came in after me get their orders and leave so I was sure my order was on its way. I watched a family come in, be seated, order taken and brought to the table, food was eaten, check delivered and paid for then they left and went on with their evening . I decided it was time to ask someone. It was about 620 at this point. I was told my food was "on the line" I finally left with my food about 630. I'm not fussy. I've worked food service before. I understand things can get busy and orders can fall behind. It would have been helpful to know what the wait time was so I could decide if I was willing to wait that long or move on with my evening. I was vocal about my surprise about my wait time to the people seated next to me at the bar. They also waited quite some time and even had two different kitchen staff bring out their pizza on trays and they had to remind them twice that they were to go. They could have comped a drink. They could have apologized for the wait. They could have communicated a little better about the wait time. And while it was indeed probably one of the best GF crusts I've had, I probably won't return to that location. I was surprised that my bill was 73$ for two small pizzas, 2 happy hour drinks and a bowl of broccoli and cauliflower but by the time the check and food came to me I was eager to just pay and leave. I know that this is a newer location and that it takes time to work out kinks but I was disappointed in my experience. I hope they are able to make the necessary improvements. read more

I have been to a few Via 313s and have always been impressed with how consistently great the pizza is, regardless of the location. The Via in bee cave is the best of the bunch I came with a group of friends that flew in for a bachelorette party this past weekend, and we showed at the restaurant at peak time, no reservation, (and maybe slightly tipsy) and they helped us out and made it work. The food was fast and good, and the staff was so, so nice (one in particular was supremely cute with dimples and gauges and is definitely my type so if he sees this, shoot me a message and don't judge a girl for shooting her shot lol!!!) Poor service, ETA pickup is most times wrong. Ordered a Jalapeno popper pizza, and was not happy after the first bite. Instead of making a customer service call, i got a condensing apology. After spending hundreds over the last few years, very disappointed. Pizza is good, but don't expect to be treated like a customer if they mess up. Looooong time VIA 313 customer, 6 years at least. Used to go to the Guadalupe location all the time even after moving to Lakeway. Thrilled when they opened Bee cave and they are killing it! Pizza is on point, exactly what you would expect. The bar staff - we like to sit at the bar - is what creates the atmosphere at this new location and makes it special. Tonight Amanda was behind the bar and she made our "date night" special with drink recommendations,attentive service, and great conversation. We tried this new location recently after they first opened and it was really bad. Not the VIA 313 we were used to for some reason. Cheese, sauce and bread tasted weird/fake and the crust did not have the delicious and famous burnt crisp edge that I love about VIA. I don't think I will give them a bother shot for awhile for sure. read more

This is some of the best pizza I've ever had. I typically order the Omnivore which is a Detroit style pizza and one of their thin crust pizza. Quality dough makes a good pizza IMO and this dough is out of this world. As far as their thin crust goes I usually get the stooges but can't wait to go back and try other pies. read more

I have never been a fan of deep dish pizza, grew up eating thin and crispy. To my surprise the Detroit style, even though it is considered "deep dish" was delicious. Toppings were plentiful and tasty, cheese, sauce and crust awesome. Especially liked the crispy texture of the crust, yummy. Service for takeout was prompt and simple. Only negative, hard to access the facility when heading north on 620. I'll enter from the back next time. We will be returning. read more

We LOVE Via 313 and have since we moved here and had the food truck on Rainey Street! We used to frequent the Oak Hill location but it is a hike just to get pizza so when we found out that we were getting a VIA in Bee Cave we were so excited. Needless to say we will have to head back to Oak Hill if we want this pizza as I will not do business with this location....extremely poor management and no accountability for their mistakes. We ordered our pizza at 5:40 with a pickup time for 6:18. My husband, my 10 month old baby and I showed up at 6:16. He left us waiting in the car which we thought would be a quick 5 minute wait to grab our pizza and be on our way. Finally my husband called my phone at 6:30 and said that our pizza was just getting out of the oven and getting cut so it would be ready momentarily. He then continued to wait another 20 minutes and then went and asked about it again and was laughed at by the lady at the cash register. He called me again and I told him to cancel our order as our 10 month old was getting very crabby as it was getting close to her bedtime. At 6:55 he walked up to the same lady who laughed at him and said she wanted to cancel the order. She told him "I can take your name and my manager will cancel when he isn't busy". My husband absolutely knew that it wouldn't get cancelled so he walked into the dining room and asked for a manager. A nice kid went and tried to grab the manager from the back and my husband saw the manager tell the kid "no" as he was too busy to come talk to a customer. Like really? Wow? And you think you will survive giving your customers attitude and acting like that. So then the nice kid preceded to go get a lady who helped my husband cancel his order. We then get a text 2 hours later saying our pizza was ready. So they refunded our money but never canceled the order and it took 2 hours and 15 minutes to make our order when the quote time was 30 minutes. And there was a whole slew of people who were in the same boat as us. There was no apologies, no trying trying to make it right...nothing. Just rude managers and some waitstaff lying about the pizza being ready in 5 minutes and it wasn't even remotely done as we got the text an hour and a half after our pizza was supposedly being cut and almost ready. Very sad as we were so excited for this location...but unless they fix management...we will be going elsewhere. read more

3rd time trying. 1st time was good as it was their grand opening month. After that a definite NO. 2nd time, got sat on the patio after a half hour wait. Crickets. No wait staff checked on us. No water. No " can I get you a drink". Only the menu. Which became our only interaction with the restaurant. After reading it, and changing our mind numerous times as we waited for the (any) wait staff to take our order, no one ever showed up, although many passed right by us. Half an hour later, we left. Asked upon exiting, "was there a problem" Duh! 2 months later, let's give it another try. Friday night, 6pm. No problem getting a seat, outside again. A wonderful cooler evening for the patio. Plus we had a guest with us this time. First, the umbrella was closed and blocking the middle of the table. "Can we put the umbrella up?" "Well, there is no pin to hold it up, someone has stolen the pin" oh my! We tied it up so it wouldn't fall, then the seater/host stole the pin from the other umbrella to secure it. All good. Menus to read. All of a sudden a familiar feeling set in. No waiter yet. No water. Plenty of menus. Deja vu. Oh no. We asked the table next to us how was the service. She answered, not great. They were sitting a while and a few of their items were incorrect. I quickly went to the host area and asked if we could get a server and drinks while we waited, and informed him of our last incident at the restaurant. He assured us he would get someone out immediately. After another 10 minutes of being ignored, we decided to leave. Again! We informed two of the employees as we left. And that it was a repeat disappointment. They did and said nothing. Terrible service. There is a happy ending to this nightmare. We have always loved PIEOUS pizza in Dripping Springs but unfortunately their dining room has been closed since the Covid issue. We do online ordering and take out with them only because of this. We had heard that their dining room was open sometimes. We decided to take the 20 minute drive and had the BEST food, service and atmosphere. I suggest you try Pieous, after all the 20 minute drive is the same as sitting being ignored at a table, but after that you will get treated like a king/queen. And your tastebuds will be happy. Bee Cave residents were so excited to get a Via313 but seriously drive to Pieous or if you really have a need for a Via313 head to the Oak Hill location. They do a great job! read more

Alright, so, I absolutely LOvE the Via 313 product. I have been a fan since circa 2007 when every time I came close to downtown Austin I found my way to the E. Austin location to grab a pie or 5. It's my favorite pizza, and it still is. I have directed anyone that visits Austin to make sure that go to Via 313. I love their success and it's much deserved. That said, the fact they're tacking a $4.49 service fee on to go orders is dog sht. As a former service worker I pride myself on appropriately tipping all staff at restaurants. I will minus all tips this mandatory "service fee". But, a $4.49 "Service Fee" is absolutely ridiculous. Also, and as egregious, and probably more, is that your small pizza's used to actually occupy the entire box. It now occupies about 75% of the box. I know that times are tough in the restaurant business because of costs but come on, the product and the value is suffering. I love you guys and I want nothing but success for your company but this stuff is really turning me off. Love, a long time loyal patron. read more
