Have had pretty good luck with delivery from her with a calzone and pizza. It is a bit of a trip for delivery, but we didn't mind tipping extra for something different. I recommend ricotta in the calzone, but not on the pizza. However that is just a perssonal choice. Friendly on the phone also. First, we've had the food before, and we liked the food! Second, I understand restaurants are busy on Friday evening. Third, I'm not sure if the app service the use, Slice, for delivery and pick up is the problem. Here's what happened this evening. Order delivery for a pizza and salad around 5:00. The app turned it down due to a busy time. No problem, I'll pick up. App stated food ready at 5:48. Timed my arrival for 5:45. I usually like to grab a beer and wait. I expect them to be behind, and I'm pretty patient. Well, no CO2, so scratch that. Fine I'll sit and wait and scroll. After 30 minutes, I asked about how long. I am the only one in the restaurant, and they ask my name again! "Oh, it's in the oven...5-8 more minutes." Finally, at 6:30, I get my pizza and walk out. They literally stopped me in the parking lot and said they gave me the wrong order. I did check and the pizza is missing a topping I had ordered. During our visit, we had a margarita pizza and a calzone. They were fresh and made while we waited. Service was good and the order came out in about expected time. The sauce accompanying the calzone was good. I would not say it is bad food by no means, but there are definitely better out there. I found the pizza and the calzone missing something to give it the over the edge taste to want to come back. I don't know quite what it was, but it wasn't there. No answer and I left a voicemail. Then I messaged them and received no response. I continued to check the from door. I called and messaged again receiving no response. just had our second pizza from here, and it's too bad it doesn't allow more than 5 stars because this was even better than the first one. My fiancé finally tried it. He usually only likes garbage pizza like Dominos or Papa Johns, but he really liked it. He said the sauce and cheese were really good. Hands down, this is the best New York style pizza in Austin. The crust is so good, I don't normally eat all my crust but this is some delicious bread. The sauce is delicious, the right balance. The ingredients and toppings are evenly distributed, and the people who work here seem to genuinely care about the effort they put into making your pizza. They are seriously into pizza. There's one kid who is creative, made great recommendations for a few different off-the-menu combinations, and my wife and I really appreciate the enthusiasm. We've been driving by this place for years but didn't consider trying it because the timing wasn't right and it's in a strip center. Husband and daughter stopped in and insisted on going back the next day with me. They make a great pizza right in front of you. It's a New York Style Pizza with a slightly thicker crust. We like it because it's not salty and not greasy. You don't feel like you have over indulged when you're finished. We split the large 8 piece margarita pizza. They also have lunch specials. Not worth it! We arrived Friday evening Jan 5th about 8:00pm after a long hard day and decided get food to go and go home to watch a movie and call it a day. We ordered a Lg Calzone w pepperoni, mushrooms & garlic. We also ordered a side of meatballs and a Lg antipasto salad all to go and we also ordered two beers to drink while we waited for the order. I paid and tip them 20% and it came to $73.11 really? I looked at it and was trying to figure out the cost? The menu on the wall at the store read: Lg Calzones $15.00 extra Items were $2.00/ea. for a large pizza or calzone. So 15+6=21 The Oder I had rang up for $17.00 for a Lg Calzone and $3.00 for each extra item? That was $27.00, Really? One price on the wall and another charged to me. The meatballs were $6.00 for two and the antipasti's salad was $12.00 beers were $6.50 each. So $57.00 plus tax & tip so I asked about the difference they were Gee I don't know unless the owner changed the prices without telling us? It wasn't busy so I figured okay they're not going to honor the menu prices? So I sat down and waited again. After about 18-20 minutes or so our calzone came out of the oven and was ready. They said finish your beers no rush we'll put it on top of the oven & it will stay warm. About 5-7 minutes later we went up to get the order to go. There was no one there at first then someone popped out from the back and said here with the calzone and said what about the meatballs & antipasto salad and the again they were "I don't know there was more let me check" I showed them my receipt? Well turns out the printer in the back wasn't printing. So we waited and waited and waited almost 30 minutes. There was only one other party of 3 there and they just ordered. So it was another 28-30 minutes an hour altogether before we could get a salad & meatballs to go with our calzone? When we left the calzone was already cold we had to heat it up when we got home. To top it off even though we were starving this meal wasn't very good. Why would I go back? It was as if nobody really cared it was now our problem! read more

I'm pretty picky about my pizza and this was good! We got the cheesy garlic bread, the gyro and a large pizza. I appreciate having local businesses to support and was surprised at some of the low star reviews when the only compliant I saw was there wasn't enough salt or taste. Personally I thought the pizza was good, the gyro was slightly extra tangy due to the sauce, and the garlic bread had plenty of garlic and overall I found it was a good local spot. Extra sauce, you cant get enough of their sauce, its made from scratch on the premises!!! Its not that sweet crap at maggianos, its perfect like my moms. Today, just had a large pizza with pepperoni, sausage, and mushrooms. Unfortunately it was "limpy"/undercooked...and simply had very little taste whatsoever. We had a Stoneys earlier this summer...it wasn't great that time, but previously I really liked their pizzas. Their HS staff may be the cause of the undercooking, but the quality of the toppings is the Managements responsibility. I never write bad reviews but this was just such a waste of money and ingredients. I asked the guy what his favorite sandwich was and he told me chicken parm. So I ordered that and got the "kitchen sink" pizza. I asked for jalapeños but didn't get those. The sandwich was brutal. Soft non toasted bread that they stuffed with pieces of what had to of been boxed frozen breaded chicken strips. It was not edible. It weighed like 2 pounds but i threw it all in the trash...that bad. The sauce was trash, there was zero flavor. The pizza was terrible too. The green peppers that they put on it tasted oily and burnt. So bad. This is the first time I can ever remember having pizza that wasn't good. Pretty sure they have one location and it wasn't busy, not sure how this place is still around. Do yourself a favor and go down the street to Via 313 and wait the hour. read more

awful. awful. i ordered large 16inches pizza with pepperoni and sausage and calzone with bacon and pepperoni. the calzone is okay, there was too much cheese, so i had to take off the cheese. The dip for the calzone which is margarita sauce was weird ahh. Also, my mom's pizza's bottom is burnt and hard. my mom struggled eat it so, my mom decided to call to restaurant and asked for another pizza KINDLY. YES KINDLY i promise !!! they hung up immediately then we called again. boooom!!! their service was awful, a person who was on the phone, yelled to my mom to watch her attitude, yelled: "I DO NOT KNOW WHO YOU ARE!??!?", and threw everything on her. my mom was confused and in a shock. then another worker with the young male voice grabbed the phone and yelled to my mom "BITCHHH" and hung up. hmm. whoa. Hands down the best pizza in Austin. My wife is a pizza sauce connoisseur and cannot get enough of it. The whole family loves this pizza and I'm a huge fan of the calzones. I haven't eaten the at the Austin location but I'm sure it's just as good as the Dripping Springs location off 290. When I called to complain to the restaurant, the very kind, customer service-oriented manager informed me that it is the responsibility of the delivery person to take care of the drinks. Yours didn't! I even texted him and did not get a reply. Stonys is awesome! We ordered the kitchen sink with meatballs and a cheese pizza. There was a little confusion on the order. We got a cheese and a cheese with meatballs. When we mentioned the mixup they immediately made a new pizza without question and even when I offered to pay the difference they wouldn't take it. The pizza was simply fantastic-great crispy, thin crust. The sauce was very flavorful and only slightly sweet. The toppings were nothing short of amazing-very fresh and flavorful. The Greek salad is very fresh and the dressing was spot on. We are already planning a trip back and will encourage our friends to visit as well!! read more

One of the best pizzas in Austin. So so good! My 6 year old said it tasted like a thousand rainbows. He also said the pizza tasted like sunshine. So pretty much the best place on earth. My family of 4 fought over the Lemon Chicken Parm. OMG (Janice from "Friends" voice insert here), we had to Rock Paper Scissors who got to eat the leftovers.
