We ventured out to Slice Street last weekend, in between a few brewery stops and convinced our friends to tag along with us. It's located in a shopping center location behind a McDonalds. Immediately, upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner who was very warm and friendly. They had detroit style or NY style pizzas with a decent amount of options. My friends got the NY style supreme and we got the the detroit style NY Omygosh its good style pizza which was essentially pepperoni and ricotta, which are a nice combo of mine and my wife's favorite toppings. Both pizzas were fantastic and different and delicious in their own way. We used their flat iron seasonings which we were all geeking out over while waiting for our pizzas. They were really good and a nice compliment to the pizza and I thought it was cool the owner had a partnership to sell those along with some hot honey too. The owner checked on us several times and probably was the most engaging owner I've met at any restaurant. For drinks, they had craft sodas in their fountain machine and I got the Dr pepper version which was tasty. Pickup seems to be the most efficient approach with not a ton of tables and no public restrooms. read more

We placed a phone order for a half-and-half pizza and a Caesar salad, and almost everything about the order was wrong. One half of the pizza was supposed to be pesto with extra pepperoni and jalapeños. The other half was ordered with extra pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions, and jalapeños. Instead, my half arrived with only vegetables, no sausage, no pepperoni, and not even the extra pepperoni we paid for. My husband's half was also missing the jalapeños. To make matters worse, our $13 Caesar salad came without the Caesar dressing. We were also charged for chicken when we ordered it without chicken. When I called to let them know about the mistakes, the employee said she was transferring me to the manager. The person I spoke with did not sound like a manager, she sounded like the young girl who took my order and showed absolutely no concern that our order had been completely messed up. There was no apology, no offer to replace the food, and no offer to refund the items we paid for but never received. We spent over $55 on an order that ended up in the trash. Mistakes happen, but how a business responds is what matters. Unfortunately, the complete lack of customer service was even more disappointing than the food itself. If you're charging customers for extra toppings, make sure they're actually on the pizza. And if you make this many mistakes on one order, your staff should be trained to make it right, not act like it's the customer's problem. read more

Good place to stop by for a full pizza or just a slice. They have New York styled pizza and also Detroit styled and many flavor and toppings to choose from. We chose the veggie and it was perfect portion for the two of us. After being bored earing at regular chains, this seemed to be a delight. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. There were so many takeout when we went there. Can't complain being a game day. The only drawback was there was no restroom inside the store for customers and had to walk all the way to the end to another restaurant. read more

He recommended Sweet Heat and it honestly sounded incredible so, that's what I went with. My pizza was ready in about 10 minutes! Fresh baked and piping HOT. Eli brought the pizza right to my table and came to check in on us a few times which was so thoughtful and the kind of touches that really elevate customer service experience. I loved the added banana peppers and the hot honey which really made this pizza exceptional. The crust was good too! We came here for a Yelp Elite event and have been wanting to try this place! This location is such a hidden gem tucked away in a lot by other food spots with ample parking just off 290. The workers were all so welcoming upon arrival. The food took about 10 minutes to be ready whether for takeout or dining in. The flavor was definitely worth the wait! There's outdoor picnic tables and a couple of booth/chair seating inside too. During our visit, they had a difficult customer come in shortly after us, but were so professional with handling the entitlement and rudeness. I really do support the discipline and great customer service that they were able to maintain here. Brava! We will definitely come back again to support this business. read more

Slice Street Pizza is a ways of a drive for me (over an hour) but the pizza was worth it! I came here for a Yelp Elite event and ordered the Detroit Deep Dish Pizza w/Sausage, Pepperoni, and Onions. The pizza itself was thick, fresh, and absolutely delicious. You can tell the quality of difference with their dough, and everything was just a wonderful moment. Three of their eight total deli dish pizza slices took me out of the fight, but I'll save the rest and live to fight another day. The staff was friendly and busy making pizza. The inside was laid back and inviting. They don't have a bathroom, so please be aware of that part. I ordered the supreme pizza. Nut allergy friendly: No nuts in anything they use as far as I can see. I ordered 5 pizzas (one Detroit, two vegan, two normal) at 4:45 PM and it was ready by 5:15PM. We got 5 pizzas for 13 guys. Paid via inKind by ordering directly on the app. I tried ordering in person but that caused more problems, so I just ordered on the app. The owner came out while I was sitting and waiting and offered us water - really wholesome dude. I wasn't a huge fan of the Detroit pizza (3.5/5), but that might just be my preference towards the style as a whole. Thought it was too doughy and not enough sauce. We were HUGE fans of the vegan pizzas (4.5/5)! The guys that weren't lactose intolerant could barely tell the difference. Our second favorite was a custom feta and pepperoni pizza. One guy in my group had great taste and I'm delighted they have customization to do it. The Hawaiian was a classic (favorite of one of the group) and wasn't anything too crazy. The moment that my freshly made pizza to order was brought to me in my TO GO BOX and opened for my approval, my inner being smiled a little deeper. My first bite had a perfect ratio of toppings, cheese, sauce and dough. The toppings were fresh and evenly distributed, the cheese melty and pulled with the right amount and the dough a great vessel to hold it all together. I was excited when Slice Street started popping up on social media and I love supporting businesses in Drip, but unfortunately I was a bit disappointed. First, service estimates need to be updated (perhaps they're understaffed) as the pizza took about an hour longer than originally expected. Second, I thought it was fine - when I opened the box I didn't have high hopes as it looked thicker and softer than I was hoping, but the flavor was actually pretty good. Someone found like a bone fragment or something hard in the sausage that hurt their tooth, so that is definitely a ding against them. The best pizza in the hill country! It's made with good clean ingredients, they try to stay away from seed oils, etc. The flour is even from a local grain mill. Even the chili flakes are top notch.
