I tried this spot at a recommendation from a friend, and it did not disappoint! The menu is massive ranging from a variety of Mediterranean genre items to some Mexican items, even burgers, they have it all! I got the Greek salad + I added chicken. The salad was $19 and change, which kind of shocked me at first, but when I saw the portion it all made sense. It was massive, could've easily fed 2 people. The salad came with a bed of lettuce, diced peppers, Kalamata olives and feta cheese. They didn't skimp on portions of anything. I'm unsure if adding chicken changed anything but it also came with a decent sized size of hummus + pita and a drink! I had 1/2 the salad for lunch and saved the other 1/2 for dinner! My coworkers always pick up food from Z's and I finally decided to give it a try. I had the spicy chicken kebab plate, which comes with chicken, basmati rice, grilled onion and roasted tomato, salad, hummus and pita. Everything was absolutely outstanding and the portions are generous. Justin, the owner, provides excellent customer service and he knows the names of all of his regulars. I was introduced to Z's Place about six months ago when I started a new job. My go to here is the spicy chicken kabob plate. The juicy chicken is served over a bed of rice accompanied by pita bread, humus and a small greek salad. The combination of these items is clean and refreshing and is one of the better kabob plates I've had in the area. The service from the manager is always great and you are always greeted with a smile. All of this along with an affordable price makes Z's Place my go to lunch spot in Vernon. read more

I passed by Z's Place many times and never tried it out. When I arrived to place a Togo order, the employees were constantly sanitizing the restaurant and they were definitely following covid protocols. Customer service was great and everyone was very friendly. I was feeling Mediterranean and seafood so I decided to order the Chicken Kabob, Beef Kabob, and the Tiger Shrimp Delight. I have to say -- the food was beyond my expectations. The rice was not dry, the meat was tender, juicy, and crisp on the outside. The pita bread was grilled perfectly and the hummus went well with it. The salad was also refreshing and it was just perfect with the meal. I really enjoyed the Tiger Shrimp Delight with lemon and tortilla that came with the meal. The shrimp was grilled very well and the rice tasted very unique. This meal would pair great with beer. The food here at Z's is very good quality. I really look forward to trying other stuff on the menu next time. read more

Steam rice could be replace to red rice.. Most of the time, I order for pickup. Owners & employees already know me by my name. That's make me feel like they care for their customer. Everyone is really friendly and owner is cool. Few of my favorite dishes is "Z" Wild Chicken combo - Marinade chicken (orange color) over with rice, steam veggie and grill jalapeno. I have to call in early to make sure they have it.. Is limited chicken per day. Also, come with drink Grill Chicken Sandwich combo - Nothing special but is thick slice of chicken w/ tomato, mayonnaise and lettuce with baguette bread. Is also come with french fries and drink. It's so hard to find a place to cater from that offers great food AND great service. Every time I cater with Z's, their team helps me by making suggestions, confirming times, and following up. Whenever I cater with other companies, I get worried about their food and whether they got my order right or not. Z's makes me feel so comfortable by making sure I have all the info I need, and by delivering perfect service every time. They confirm the big details like the time of delivery, down to the small details like the number of plates and forks we need. They really make you feel like a priority even though they've got so many other orders to fulfill! For their food, we all love their spicy chicken kabobs and beef fajitas! This spot is a nice lunch spot, I'm glad my coworkers introduced me here. We ended up eating lunch here since I didn't bring my own lunch for the day. You can see most people who come here are employees who are on their lunch break, often regulars who know the cashier and servers. Came around 1, was able to get a parking spot and we were first in line. Win win! A hoard of people came about 5 minutes after we arrived. Their menu is like whoa!! They have most cuisines that are ideal for lunch. You know, if you're working in Vernon, there is absolutely no good restaurants around. It's pretty sad actually, but it does force me to be healthy and bring my own lunch. Menu consists of burgers, salads, tacos, burritos, sandwiches, breakfast meals... the list goes on! Almost 900 items to choose from. Wow. Decisions, decisions, I ordered the ocean white fish burrito for $6.99. Good deal because the burrito was huge and filling! But not so good because my burrito fell apart :(. Plus it was oozing with juice. Not so ideal for a messy eater like me. I don't know why they took over 10 minutes with my order though. My burrito was $9.99 and came with onion rings and a drink. The burrito was huge, well constructed (mine always fall apart), and the onion rings were a bountiful portion. My coworker enjoyed his chicken kabob plate as well - the bright red color on the chicken showed me that they know how to marinate and prepare meat. I was totally confused what to eat for lunch and my coworker mentioned this place. She's never eaten it, so it was a bit risky, but risky is my middle name... J/k. It's no where near my middle name. So I went in and found that they have one of the most crazy diverse menus I've ever seen in my entire life. Things from kebab to fish n chips to teriyaki plates to burritos... I mean it was a bit overwhelming, but I decided to go simple- I got a 'super sub' with coleslaw. I was a bit skeptical cause it's really odd being able to pull off good food with diversity. I have to say that they make a legit sub sandwich. It tasted delicious. The coleslaw was good too! I believe it's a 9" sandwich, which I ate only half, but it was really good. I didn't dissect it to see what was inside, but whatever it was, it was a really good combination. I'll definitely be back to try something different and see if they are successful at making other foods delicious as well! One of the best places to eat if you work around the area. I wouldn't say that every dish I've tried was delicious, but most of it was good. I usually get the beef kabob or the chicken breast salad. The beef kabob comes with hummus, a Mediterranean salad, rice and grilled tomato and onion. It is my favorite dish here, and taste so delicious with their sauce. The chicken breast salad is also great for days I want to be healthier. They also open very early which is convenient for me, since I can just call in to place my order and pick it up.
