    The Beauty salad

I've driven past this food court before not knowing much. I have been craving a salad and found this spot on yelp and decided to go since it's so close to my office. I will be frequenting here! $13 for a large Beauty salad without onions or raisins. I got my dressing on the side but they will toss it as well. This thing is HUGE! It's long to at least last me through tomorrow! Super hearty and delicious! I barely Ate half! They have wraps, soup and sandwiches as well. Service, quality and price; I have no complaints!

OMG! 1st time. This was one of the biggest salads we've seen and loved. We ate all of it! I totally forgot to take pictures. We were starving. They have a large variety to choose from. We ordered the #13/Spinach salad with chicken. Not only was the salad great, the baked potato was fantastic! Another item with variety. We had the BBQ chicken. It's huge! Oh BTW, they also have a good clam chowder. We'll definitely take that drive from LB to go again

The food and service here is phenomenal! Salads are fresh and crisp with so much variety! There's so many salad chocies to choose from, you can either choose from their 20 salad menu or create your own salad. Whatever your choice maybe, there's a variety of dressings and toppings that will definitely compliment your salad. Overall, I was beyond pleased and impressed with the staff's customer service and grace!

Love the salad very tasty and good amount for a good price. Great customer service. There is no waiting time and they prepare your salad very quick . You can add or remove anything you want

I always came to this spot when I'm looking for a healthy, fresh, and fast salad. Ingredients selection is wide, as well as menu options. Even when the food court is full, this spot is pretty fast, and clean. Highly recommended!

The place comfy, the ambience is dark and bar-like, the drink vibes look chill, I have no complaints about the service. The service was good and the staff was nice. All this makes the steak disappointment that much worse for me. We ordered Ribeye and Shrimp Salmon Lobster Mac and Cheese Asparagus Lobster Roll (Sushi) A drink from the bar The Steak.. The steak came served on a cast-iron skillet. I ordered it medium-well. It arrived a little more medium than usual, but that was not an issue. What disappointed me was the puddle the steak was sitting in. Traditionally said puddle is a mixture of butter, thyme, and whatever seasonings you used on the steak when cooking it. In this case, that puddle was flavorless. It really tasted like the steak was just sitting in a flavorless oil. The steak was very bland, very difficult to think someone could send out a piece of meat out like that, especially when you find out what it costs. It was not worth it and not worth the final tab unfortunately. Really wanted to find a steak W for Downey but I don't see myself being interested in this place again.

We still paid the bill in full including the tip but we still left unsure of it. Honestly if it wasn't late already we will not be dining here with that attitude. Our server on the other hand was absolutely welcoming and amazing. My kid was cold outside, she offered to let us sit inside instead, we didn't really want to wait longer so she brought us a blanket. That was so very nice of her. The music in this place was insanely loud. Honestly had my ears ringing 20 mins after I left the restaurant. Food was great. Grilled Branzino was great with the pine nuts. Total perfection. Saffron pici was my favorite. Lamb ragu is soft and flavorful. Dessert We had the chocolate tart and strawberry crostata, love both of them. For 3 adults and 1 kid including tip around $400. It's great for the quality of the food. But not sure if I want to go through the seating situation again. So all in all, maybe once in a blue moon, we will be back.

Of course I've long known about it, but it's a bit of a shlep from my home; we mostly do local-ish places for DineLA. But when we saw their famous Pepper Steak was on the DineLA menu (perhaps for the first time?), we made the shlep. Dal Rae is on Washington Blvd, a Jack in the Box away from the corner of Rosemead Blvd. Their parking lot is valet only. We found street parking less than a block away, but neither Rosemead or Washington have street parking--too busy! The restaurant has 2 enclosed patios that let in a little light, a bar area that serves the full menu and has a piano, and the dining room, all with mid-century design/lighting. As AARP members, we prefer an early-bird dinner; Dal Rae starts theirs at 3:30 weekdays. 4:00 weekends. The lighting was brighter than expected; I was prepared to use a flashlight. They dimmed the lights later on. The hostess was very friendly; we had to wait a sec to be seated because a regular "demanded" a hug from her while leaving. It became clear during our visit there are a lot of regulars as well as long-time staffers. The dining room is a mix of tables and classic booths. The DineLA dinner menu has 3 courses with 3-4 options for each. Here's what we got: 1) Bread basket with warm and soft sourdough (?), spicy flat bread and packaged bread sticks. 2) First course--Hearts of romaine Caesar salad and Fried calamari. The salad was an untossed Caesar; the Caesar on the regular menu for two is prepared tableside. Also note the Hearts of romaine salad on the regular menu is not a Caesar; it has avocado, candied walnuts and blue cheese. The calamari were nice, lightly battered served with lemon butter (delish) and spicy marinara (fine but not spicy). 3) Entree--we both got the famous Dal Rae Pepper Filet Mignon. Other choices were Chilean sea bass, a boneless ribeye and spaghetti with lobster. The Pepper Steak preparation is also available on the regular menu as a Prime New York (perhaps the most popular) and, on the lunch menu, a "Poor Man's Pepper Steak" ground sirloin. The steak was well-prepared and very tender. The Pepper preparation consists of peppercorns, bacon and green onions in a sauce. It was very tasty and peppery, perhaps not as transcendent as touted. The fresh veggie of the day was broccoli, and we both chose steak fries as our carb, over mashed potatoes, rice pilaf or sliced tomatoes. We were too early for baked potatoes. 4) Ordered off the regular menu, my steakhouse go-to's--creamed spinach and creamed corn. Both were fab, classic and a great value at $10 each. The corn was au gratin and probably not fresh, but still fine. 5) Dessert--Decadent Chocolate Cake and New York Cheesecake with fresh berries. No complaints! I believe they do tableside Bananas Foster and maybe Cherries Jubilee, but I did not see them on the dessert menu. Our server was Julie and she was great. Overall a great introduction to another classic LA spot. The regular menu had many other classic dishes I'd like to try, and prices were very decent compared to other restaurants. Worth the shlep!

WOOOOHOOOOO a wonderful experience!…read more Alright firstly is the food great, yes! It's a fast-food drive-in burger joint okay so let's talk about it. When I walked last night 15 minutes before close, no one was trying to rush me out and still asked if I wanted to eat there. This was delightful because usually people are completely poops about it. I wish I knew the young man's name who was the cashier he was so kind, outgoing, and just overall super bubbly and friendly. My had a small baby and I went in first to order and then went outside to trade with my husband so he could use the restroom as we waited for our to-go order. Without me sharing any thoughts with my husband the first thing he said when he got back is how supremely friendly the young man was and how he swears his attitude was contagious because he came out with a smile on his face. The food itself as mentioned was great. We took advantage on the specials for the double cheeseburger and the chicken sandwich. I know people will debate it, but I enjoyed the well seasoned and tasty breaded sandwich much more than In-n-out. The chicken sandwich tasted so high-quaity in comparasion to most fast food sandwiches I've ever had and priced so affordably. The entire resturant and the restroom were impicaly clean, the defintion of "sparkling clean". This location really has it together and the chose the right person to be in the front dealing with their customers. Truly a wonderful experience!
