    Pomegranate margarita & Paloma
    Han P.

We came here to celebrate my 30th birthday on March 14th and had a 7:45pm reservation. despite how busy it was, everything flowed seamlessly from start to finish. Just a heads up, they only offer valet parking for $6, but it's quick and convenient and made arrival easy. One thing that really stood out was the ambiance. it felt different from most restaurants in the best way. It had an elevated, lively energy while still feeling comfortable and welcoming, striking that perfect balance between upscale and relaxed. We started with a pomegranate margarita, a Paloma, and some delicious cheese bread that set the tone for the night. For dinner, we ordered the surf and turf with a perfectly cooked medium rare filet mignon and Chilean sea bass that truly melts in your mouth. We also had the New York pepper steak cooked medium with fries, along with sides of cream of spinach and mac and cheese. the mac and cheese was incredibly creamy and cheesy, pure comfort food. Even with the crowd, service was never neglected. Our waiter, Blake, was attentive throughout the night, and the manager stopped by our table to check in, which was a really nice touch. This place never disappoint(: the consistency and quality of the food is what makes it truly fantastic. Always a great experience.

What a wonderful dinner! We brought friends with us that had never dined at Dal Rae! What a treat to see their reactions with the experiences! The food and service waa exceptional, as it always is. What's impressive is how busy this place is afyer some many years in business! Grrat formula of quality food and service that so many appreciate! Special place that our family loves! Cocktails were great (and strong!) We ordered Dirty Martinis abd very tasty Pear Martinis (for those not driving). We all enjoyed our tableside prepared Caesar Salad. Delicious and fun to watch the preparation. Bread and great flatbread crackers are always a hit along with the garlic cheese bread! I ordered the prime rib, excellent. The rest of our party ordered pepper steaks (their specialty), filets and NY! I can't believe one of our guests actually finished the 18oz NY Steak, but so good he wanted to! We all enjoyed our tableside prepped fully loaded baked potatoes! Nothing better than lots if butter! We ordered several desserts to share including the tabkeside prepared Banana (and peaches) Foster. Steve prepared and served. What a treat! We have had Steve several times before preparing our tableside salads! He is awesome and explains the process! What a fun show! It was so delicious! Our main server was Raquel. So helpful and friendly. She did a great job. Of checking in with us and didn't rush us into ordering. Made for a very relaxing and enjoyable dinner out with friends! Dal Rae won our hearts and stomachs years ago! We will be back again and again!

They say it's the best restaurant in town and they may be right! Had a wonderful time celebrating my husband's birthday! The service was impeccable. Our reservations were made online and we checked in no problem. Many guests were dressed up classically for a steakhouse! Our waitress was kind and friendly answering all our questions about salt level of food etc. for some sensitive eaters in our group. The lighting and cleanliness of the restaurant were moody, excellent, and well kept. Now for the food, nothing disappoints! Everything was delicious. The bread for appetizers were warm and fresh. Fried calamari had two dipping sauces (with marinara)! Now the best dish in my opinion and the reason I will be coming back to Dal Rae's is for the Chilean sea bass!!! So flaky, buttery and the onions were delectable! Overall, I could not recommend Dal Rae more! Thanks for making a special event so perfect!

4 star for food, and nothing else really made it go any higher. I think they've lost their edge. Will always be a meaningful, historic spot in the neighborhood. Some dishes are hit or miss. I had the lamb and it was good, not great. Same with the wedge salad - good, not great. Staff is very sweet.

Simply put... when you want to be treated like a KING or QUEEN this is the spot, all the service is amazing? The food is second to none, Marissa was our server tonight and it's always worth it. Thank you Marco, Lauren, Steven, Marcie, Frida, the valet and the whole team!! And the ambiance is superb.

This was my perfect "Dirty Martini".

Came here for my anniversary dinner with my husband and I was very excited to be seated very quick. The service was amazing and the staff were very attentive to our needs which is always a plus! The ambiance was so nice and relaxing along with how delicious the food was and the drinks were on point. The dirty martinis were made to perfection with no overpowering taste of olive brine it was just in my opinion "PERFECT"! I have had such a wonderful experience and I left this restaurant in wishing it had never ended. I will definitely be coming back again very soon!

I had dinner here last night and it was pointed out to me, that I didn't review this place. Now, I'm almost positive I did - but maybe I did compose one; left it as a draft and somehow deleted it. Anyway, here goes ... I was introduced to Dal Rae by a fellow Yelper who has never steered me wrong. We, along with others, had a tradition of dining here on Halloween which this year, would be the first time back, since before the pandemic. However, it was decided to dine last night (Sunday) as Friday was not only Halloween, the Dodgers were playing and traffic on Fridays is a true nightmare. Valet parking. $6. Or you can find parking on the street. Inside, it's an old school steakhouse. Host/hostess stand as soon as you enter. Straight ahead is the bar and lounge and a dining room straight back. To the left, is a private room which last night was in use. To the right is the main dining area plus a garden room, which is where we chose to sit last night. Couldn't figure out why it was so busy until we found the menu celebrating Dal Rae's 67th anniversary. We thought it was just Dodger fans out to partying the World Series win. Service was excellent. The team took care of us all the way down to boxing up our leftovers, tableside. Not that I'd worry about staff messing with my food at this place, but others, I have to admit, it's in the back of my mind. Friendly. Polite. Personable. Professional. Not arrogant, nor inattentive or cold at all. As for the food, see pics. Flavorful, juicy, tender steaks. Fresh, hearty, savory sides. Decadent and silky desserts (last night: Caesar Salad Hears of Romaine, creamy dressing; Dal Rae Pepper Filet Mignon, Pan seared with onion, bacon and peppercorn mixture and Tiramisu Expresso, mascarpone, lady fingers and creme anglaise). Other pics are from previous visits and I enjoyed them all. The full bar has an extensive selection which for me, pairs well with steak. As I've had all the Bourbon/Rye on their list, I knew which I'd enjoy with last night's filet and complimented the peppery tones (Rabbit Hole Bourbon). Anyway, I really do like this steakhouse. Love the food, service and vibe. I'll definitely be back.

I've been wanting to try this place for the longest time since they've been featured on the news & I discovered that they've been around for many decades. Since we live nearby, Husband & I finally got to try this place. We came here for dinner on a weekend. It was packed but bc we made reservations, we didn't wait long to get seated. Ambiance had an old classic feel & service was excellent. I'm not a huge meat eater but I had to try their well known pepper filet mignon & it did not disappoint. Hubby had the wagyu flat iron steak & it was very tender & juicy. Both meat were seasoned & cooked perfectly. As for drinks, we ordered a cocktail each to start with & then a glass of red to pair with our dish. Cocktails were solid. Our experience here was wonderful & look forward to bringing our friends & family here in the near future.

Dal Rae is a must dinning experience for a throwback to classic dishes and attentive service. My work team celebrated the holidays with an intimate luncheon. We were served a crudité of fresh and pickled veggies with dipping sauces on ice, bread basket and butter. I enjoyed the Chilean sea bass served with creamy mashed potatoes and broccoli. The fish was cooked to perfection with grilled onions on top and a creamy sauce...hearty portion as well. My coworkers raved over the peppercorn beef and chowder. We enjoyed dessert as well, but sadly no pics. The tiramisu and lemon tart were divine. Of course, the attentive staff were on point, water/drinks served and constant check-ins. The decor for the holidays set the right tone to celebrate.

Heard a lot about this place and gave it a go. will not be giving it another go. reminds me of Lawry's. I get it's cultured and historical, but the love and flavor just ain't there for me. Not saying it isn't a good place, there were other folks inside enjoying their meals including the group I was with. The service was great. Parking appears to be private and or Valet. If you don't have any Cash to get your car, I'm not sure what happens.

    Vincent Artemio E.

Dal Rae's is unique in Pico Rivera in that it proudly holds on to it's mid-century decor amongst a growing number of popular chain restaurants. Step inside this elegant restaurant and you swear you are in a Martin Scorsese movie! Pure class. We were a large group that came in for lunch and were promptly seated. The somber lighting inside set the mood for a relaxed, leisurely lunch. I ordered the fresh Chilean Sea Bass ala Ben from the lunch menu. The sea bass was deliciously flaky and buttery and had a parmesan crust. The mashed potatoes, sautéed onions, and broccoli added just the right touch. The bar would have been my next stop but this was a work event so I had to bypass the white wine. Valet parking however cannot be bypassed. Make sure to tip the attentive staff; they deserve it! Enjoy your visit!

Another delicious work lunch at Dal Rae. Got here around 11:50am for a 12pm reservation. Got seated in the Garden Patio, and it was super decked out in holiday decorations. Even had a big Christmas tree. I got the famous pepper steak (like always). This time it came with broccoli. We didn't get any appetizers this time, so we got dessert instead. I ended up getting the vanilla bean ice cream with berries. The lace cookie cup was super sweet. The restaurant was packed by the time we left around 1:50pm.

Valentines Dinner Fail! I wish I had a better experience here but the service here and the table next to us making racist remarks ultimately tainted my experience. It also wasn't advertised anywhere on their websites or socials that the valentines dinner had started 2/13 so we were a bit disappointed with the limited menu. FOOD 4/5 My steak here was great! Cesar salad was also delicious and my favorite was the chocolate cake! My steak did come out rare but then was sent back and came back perfect. SERVICE 2/5 My server Danielle wasn't the most attentive or friendly and throughout our dinner, felt like she was trying to educate us. For example, when my steak came out rare, she argued and said it wasn't rare but medium, even when compared to my partners steak which was cooked medium, she insisted it was medium but if i want it more cooked she would send it back. It didn't make us feel good. She was also more attentive to the larger party next to us. We had to grab her for the check and the dessert. It just wasn't the service I was expecting. She just did the bare minimum, nothing above and beyond. When we asked why the valentine's day menu was there the day before valentine's day she said they were extremely busy, but there was also empty tables around us throughout dinner. I wish this was advertised. I want to shoutout the bussers though who were very friendly and very attentive. AMBIANCE 4/5 This place was cute, loved the vibes. I think what killed the ambiance and vibe for me was the large table next to us who was making racist remarks about latinos. OVERALL 2/5 I enjoyed the food and ambiance but the service, limited menu, and the table next to us left us with a sour impression.

Service is minimal and needs updating as well. I feel that the staff should teach you how they do things around there as I'll admit I felt lost. Food being the most important part is where they seriously lack. Wife's ribeye was decent. My New York was just bad. Baked potato was tiny. Salad bar and sauce bar (?) was just sad. I don't think I'll be back but I'm glad I finally tried it. PS the cheese toast is pretty good.

While I've never been to the restaurant side, the catering side is pretty good. The buffet we ordered was steak, shrimp scampi, rosemary potatoes, mashed potatoes, antipasto and cobb salads and zucchini medley. Every one of our 100+ guests raved of the food. The restrooms were in need of a good cleaning, though, it smelled like a gas station restroom, and the paper towels were just on the sink counter instead of the dispenser. The bar area was in need of a remodel and the drinks were pretty expensive ($16.00 for a Don Julio rocks margarita) but tasted oh so good! We only had one waitress handling the sodas, water and tea and I kinda felt bad for her as she seemed overwhelmed, but she never once complained or was rude. She was polite and friendly and kept coming back to the tables that needed drinks. Javier, the banquet manager was just great. He had a wonderful and jovial personality and kept checking on us, the hosts, but more importantly, all of our guests. He stayed for the whole event, even past midnight. Parking was a bit of an issue, not when we arrived, but as the night wore on. There was also a 90th birthday celebration in the next room with about 100 or so people, plus the restaurant guests. So keep that in mind if you have a big party. Getting here was a bit confusing as the roads and freeway on ramps all convene, but if you're patient and paying attention, you should make it no problem. If pictures speak a thousand words, then the smiles on my brother-in-law's face and his guests and the wonderful decorations and food speak volumes of our night here.

OMG the CORN TORTILLAS was the best I've ever had!!! I would just be so happy to have the CORN TORTILLAS but, their meats are all really flavorful and tender too!!!... CAULIFLOWER: 10/10 The flavor and texture of the cauliflower was so good!!! BRUSSELS SPROUTS: 10/10 I loved the sauce so much and the Brussels sprouts were so adorably cute and small. It's usually bitter but, it doesn't taste as bitter here and the sauce was just AMAZING!!!! SERVICE: 8/10 Good but, could be better! We waited 30-40 minutes after finishing dinner for the cake to be served. And with no knife to cut the cake and utensils provided!!! Come here for the FOOD PEOPLE!!!!
