Kevin, owner of ZMANA, and one of his colleagues Chris came by my home for a free consultation within a few days from me inquiring for an estimate. The consultation took no more than 30 minutes as they assessed each area of the house and making recommendations on where specific devices should be placed to ensure all blind spots or entries had been covered. Within the same day they were able to provide an estimate. Kevin is very responsive through email for any additional questions you might have while also thoroughly explaining reasons for his answers. The installation process was fairly easy, the technician Billy was able to install the hard wired security system within one day. He also came by the house a couple days later to adjust the camera angles to ensure all blind spots were covered. ZMANA has a great staff with great customer service. During the lockdown my daughter and I were alone in our home and we had a break in. I didn't have the front door locked. Kevin from zmana came over and spent over two hours locating all the footage of the intruder. We were able to prosecute because of this. I was checked in on often after that by the company simply to see if I felt safe. They really go above and beyond in service. I am a single mom and I am horrible with technology. I at first was terrified of their system. Wel......there is absolutely nothing for me to be intimidated by. Kevin, my ZMANA angel, will quickly come over and help me with any problem I have....yep....he will COME OVER! I have never experienced such service and professionalism in a security company. There was one time I thought a package had been stolen. I felt no issue or embarrassment in calling my provider Kevin to help me figure it out. He of corse found the issue and helped me. No overselling, patient, calm, great service. Thirteen months ago, I signed a contract with ZMANA for an installation of a basic security system and was impressed with the service Kevin provided. Honestly, I thought the customer service might be just so-so because the system I wanted to start with was simple and I sensed it was certainly not going to be a huge money making project for ZMANA. In addition, I emphasized we would not complete the project for at least 8-12 months. I believed these would not be favorable points for me as a customer, but Kevin agreed to do the project! Initially, I had to request a rush job on getting internal wiring installed in order to keep on schedule with our contractor. ZMANA willingly accommodated my need very quickly and we didn't miss a beat with the contractor's timeline. During the extended waiting period, about 12 months, I found to my great surprise and relief, that no one from ZMANA bugged me about speeding up our building process so they could complete their installation and receive their full payment. I felt like they really heard and honored what I specified about the slow timetable and that showed good communication and listening on their part. This past week, Cody returned to do the final tinkering with our system and the online stuff. I was nervous about setting up an account and learning about the online capacity of the system because I am not a techie. But, Cody was so patient and calm and made it easy for an old person, me, to actually understand how to work with the system. I was impressed because I didn't feel our big generation gap was an obstacle as I learned what to do following Cody's simple and clear directions. Today, Kevin came for a follow-up site visit to answer my questions after using the system for several days. It's very smart customer relations to set up this appointment because it shows they want their customers to value and trust the security system and their service. I had questions and like Cody, Kevin was so pleasant and answered and explained everything I needed to clarify. I thought I didn't need this appointment because our system is so simple, but I learned about the additional services the system can offer when I am ready to expand the capabilities, so it was worthwhile to be able to speak with Kevin in person. During this entire process, I was in touch with Kristine as we got closer to wrapping up the installation. I made a couple of mistakes with getting things ready for ZMANA's final work, but Kristine was so calm and pleasant and she just rolled with my glitches. Kevin and his team made a positive impact on me with their strong customer service that was maintained throughout the entire process. Kevin listened, respected my requests and didn't push me to invest in more than I wanted. He didn't oversell to me, but certainly made sure I got the basics taken care of. ZMANA is providing a complete product with an easy, trustworthy system that gives me a high sense of security along with superior customer service, responsiveness and knowledge. I feel very confident about this review because I can compare ZMANA to another company I deal with which provides horrible service with their mediocre responsiveness, lack of urgency, garbled communication and an overall sense there is no one who will take responsibility for issues that arise. In 2013, I met with Isaac Lima and he helped me transition to my current alarm service (not Zmana). In 2016, I met with Isaac again to upgrade my system; however, I signed the paperwork with the owner of the company, not Isaac. Fast forward to May 2020 when mailboxes of three of my nearby neighbors were vandalized in the middle of the night. I called Isaac to schedule another meeting as I wanted to purchase additional cameras that would record towards the street and near my newly installed and expensive light sconces. Isaac informed me that he was no longer working at that company and was now with Zmana. So I contacted my current provider and left two voicemails within a week with no response. On the third try, the receptionist answered. I was irritated by then and asked to cancel my monitoring service with them. It was then that I discovered that when I signed the paperwork with the owner (who has since sold the business), I was also locking into a five year contract for monitoring service that would expire at the end of 2021. I was livid. The receptionist said that she would have the manager call me. He did later that day and apologized for not getting back to me quicker and offered to waive any service fees for the remainder of the contract and beyond if I remained with the company. In a hurry to get those new cameras, I met with the manager who said that he would get back to me the next day with possible camera options. He did not email me until a week later. By then, I was done. I read a few other negative Yelp reviews about customers signing up unknowingly for a five year contract. Yes, it was my fault for not reading the fine print so I am stuck until December 2021 for monitoring services. But I wasn't about to buy more equipment from this company so I met with Isaac. After our meeting, he contacted me the following day to talk to me about a 2-lens camera (instead of two separate cameras) that would allow me to monitor the street with a 180 degree view. Let's go! The installers, Billy and Cody, were very professional (wore masks) and kept me in the loop about the path of the wiring and finding the right way to minimize exposed wiring and keeping the installation "clean" looking. I did not plan to upgrade my NVR (Network Video Recorder) but needed to as I added an additional camera in the back of my house. Isaac was able to work on getting me a reasonable price. The new NVR has more hard drive memory (meaning it will keep recorded footage for a longer period of time before it records over it) and I can add more cameras in the future if I wanted to. I will wait out my monitoring service contract with my current alarm company and switch to Zmana. The icing on the cake is Zmana's fees for service calls are lower than my current alarm company! Isaac has been very responsive and will text or call me back promptly. He also wore a mask when on my property. Isaac met with me after the installation was complete just to make sure that I was happy with the project. Thanks, Isaac! read more

Our camera system was out of date and needing to be updated. We were considering going to Costco and buying cameras ourselves but we saw Zmana highlighted on Career Builders on OC16 and decided to give them a try. They had everything we wanted to get from our camera's at Costco but their package also came with monitoring and service. The response time was quick upon contacting them and we were able to get our new cameras installed in a week. Issac was great at answering our calls even on the weekends and Billy and Cody were great at installation and everything technical including our Wifi (while setting up our switch to wifi, Billy also helped me uncover a problem I was having with my solar monitoring system that was connected to the router I was using). We had some minor issues/speed bumps (which led to one less star) but the team was great in helping us resolve our issues. I was so skeptical, especially after a DAT representative told me things about Zmana that turned out not to be true, but Kevin's honesty and integrity were palpable. We've had our alarm system for months now, and we have zero regrets. The alarm is LOUD, sensitive, calls the police for you, can shut off or be set from your phone wherever you are, and the company calls you immediately to make sure you're ok if the alarm has gone off. All of this for only $50 a month that I've set to be deducted automatically. We are happy with the security system and how immediately responsive Kevin is to our questions. I recommend this company to everyone. No contracted length of time, can cancel any time.
