I had a problem with my Water Heater not generating Hot Water at home and thought i had to get a Brand New One so I called my Plumber and told me that there was nothing wrong with the Water Heater but a Short in the Electrical System leading to the Water Heater and said that an Electrician has to fix that problem and so here I am on Yelp sending out messages that I needed someone to look at my Water Heater because of a short and I also asked for a quote as well. Well in just a matter of minutes Lawrence of DS Electrical was quick to respond and gave me a quote which was a little high for me on the messages I got back but it was only an estimate because I really didn't explain the situation until I told him exactly what the problem was. After hearing my side of the story, his estimated quote that was first sent was dramatically changed to a much lower and better estimate and I decided to go with Lawrence because he seemed like a honest and dependable person on the phone. So we set up an appointment a few days later and Lawrence texted me earlier in the day to confirm his appointment and that was a nice touch and he even arrived a little earlier than expected which was perfect. After going over what the problem was, he knew right off the bat what the problem was and he got the job done in under 25 minutes. Lawrence was very friendly,personable, and did an excellent job getting my Water Heater to function again. Taking Cold Showers for a few days is definitely an eye opener and I just couldn't wait to take a Hot Shower once again thanks to Lawrence. Lawrence/DS Electrical is an excellent contractor. Great attitude, patient, willing to answer questions and accommodate requests and go the extra mile. I had to bring an old electrical box for my condo up to code and replace it. I also had to move it from the kitchen to the bedroom - a major work order involving cutting concrete/brick walls. Lawrence arrived, carefully examined the unit, laid down protective mats and used plastic sheeting and tape to fully seal any closets and windows to contain the dust that would be generated during the concrete work. He then organized the wiring for the whole condo, cut the concrete, installed the new box and sealed the space where the original sat, all in about six hours time. He then performed a thorough cleanup of the entire work area. It is hard to find contractors who are on-time, responsible, do quality work, and have a good attitude on top of all of that. Lawrence is very professional and explains what happen and what needs to be fixed. Day after Thanksgiving , It started with 2-mo'os or lizards that decided to play inside the sub Panel and give us a scare with a loud noise and a flash coming from the sub panel and left us with partial power where just the ice box was still running which we were happy because all the Thanksgiving leftovers would have gone to waste. Where HECO came late in the night to make sure there side was good .Saturday morning around 7:30 I called Lawrence and explained what happen thinking it was just the circuit breaker . He was able to squeeze us in which was wonderful and we are grateful for that , he came inspected and said not just the breaker , need to replace the panel. He is very honest and will tell you slits all about the safety , lucky our house did not go up in flames . So of course he tells us what will happen which includes HECO coming out in a Saturday to disconnect power . A big mahalo to HECO trouble shooter rep that came in a timely manner. Within 3 hours from start to finish with heco disconnect and reconnect , our box was done . I love that Lawrence focus on the safety and was able to give us full house power again. He was impressive on installing the new ceiling light/fan. He was unable to enter the ceiling, so he used his phone as a camera and snaked the wire. He did not have to install the wire on the outside of the wall and cover it up. He provided suggestions on materials for the installations. His cost was reasonable compared to two other estimates.
