Doesnt return calls, doesnt return texts, when I finally got in touch with Cameron, he always confused me with someone else or a different job. I was looking for a Level 2 EV install. He did return 1 call, and confused me with someone else and asked me if i wanted a Span Panel. I said Span Panel I dont even know what that is. He says, oh, must be wrong guy. You don't know how much you rely on being able to see the food on your dinner plate until you can't. On our trip home to be with family around the holidays, we found ourselves one day into a "power outage" from a tripped circuit breaker at my parents' house. This had caused many (but not all) of the lights and plugs to shut off in the living room and (our/guest) bedroom. When my dad tried to reset the breaker on the panel, the power did not go back on. Once the holiday hub bub had settled (and after a few dinners at home by lamp light), he reached out to Cameron at Knoles Electric, who tried to troubleshoot the problem over the phone.  When that didn't work, Cameron, who was on the road, said he'd stop by.  He arrived shortly thereafter and proceeded to check the breaker panel.  Within a couple of minutes, he had the power restored.  He made it look easy! Cameron explained about resetting the breaker switch and answered several other questions that my dad asked. We are so appreciative of Cameron for trying to help us on the phone and impressed that he was willing to stop by soon after to help us solve the problem quickly and effectively on the same day.  We found him personable and professional.  He also took the time to  answer several other unrelated electrical questions as--who knew--my parents had never worked with an electrician on this house prior to this encounter. Scheduled them to change 6 of my dated outlets & covers along with one light switch. We initially booked the job for a Saturday morning and had an unfortunate hiccup with keys which was my fault; my renovation contractors had the only set with all required keys and they had to reschedule me last minute, but they were incredibly understanding and kind given the situation! Elijah was the electrician who came out for the rescheduled appointment and he was truly amazing! Arrived exactly on time & was prepared with all of the necessary tools & parts! He was thorough, efficient and fun to chat with throughout the job! He also made sure to vacuum up afterwards despite renovation mess, but this just proves the attention to detail he provided! Crooks! The short version: My wall outlet was dead; Connected Cameron through Yelp, asked if they offer free estimates, he said yes (in writing) I set an appointment, they missed it, I reminded them, they came a couple hours late. They spent first hour, and needed a second at 175/hr.. I said as long as you can fix it.. 2 hours later, they suggested bypassing the outlet by installing surface wires over the wall.. Shucks! Next day, they billed me for 2 hours, plus a "processing" fee, total 378 PLUS another $700 to return & mickey mouse a surface mount job! When I reached out to remind Cameron of "free" estimates, he said they did me a favor by not charging an extra $50 "trip fee" on top.. Gee thanks! Another company came, identified the problem FREE, got the job done RIGHT for $523 all inclusive of tax & new hardware. read more

Connected with Cameron from a referral. They completed the job but forgot to complete one task. I contacted him about the missed item and he immediately replied with, "Yes, I can send someone out. He should've done that. I will have a talk with him." A week went by with continued followups and they never came out to complete it although he said it was agreed upon and that it was their fault. Knoles Electric is a great company to work with. I spoke with Cameron about the problem with my dryer outlet and he took the time to actually listen. Even more importantly, he was the only electrician who had me take pictures and send them in lieu of a visit. He determined that the wrong breaker had been installed on my dryer circuit. Everyone else insisted on doing a site visit or to give me a quote without looking at anything. Also, to level the playing field, I sent the other people who replied to my request, the same pictures that I sent to Cameron. No one said anything about them! When I was ready, I had decided that I would be using Knoles Electric. On the day that the service was scheduled, Cameron reached out to confirm the details. He let me know that Dylan would be coming to do the work. Dylan arrived a few minutes before the time he was scheduled to arrive. He did great work, was very professional, yet also very personable. He took time to keep me updated throughout the procedure. One of the first things he told me was that my old 3-prong outlet would have to be replaced with a 4-prong outlet because of code. I ran out and picked one up, and Dylan actually installed it for me! It had been determined early on that the cable running from the breaker box to the outlet would have to be replaced. This meant that Dylan would need to cut into the drywall. Dylan did a fantastic job of minimally cutting the drywall! I was very impressed with the work. Finally, Dylan actually setup my dryer and made sure it was working before he left. The bottom line is that the work was done on time and it was done very well. I would certainly use Knoles Electric for any electrical work I might need in the future. read more

I received an estimate for a job and I was under the impression that it was an all day job (i.e., 8 hours). The estimate was over $1,000+. I went ahead with the job. Cameron was able to complete the job in about 3.5 hours. I was happy and under the impression that I was going to be billed for his time spent. Instead I was billed for the whole estimate. As a fellow small business owner, I also charge clients per hour, and I felt charging me for his time was fair. Instead I paid over $1,000+ and he said that I was charged "per job," and not "per hour." Please be mindful when receiving an estimate. read more
