This is a high end burger chain, and this visit was my first ever. It's OK. I stopped in for lunch after getting a haircut at V's nearby. First let me say I love the decor at this location. It's got a nice hip modern look and I loved hanging out here. I got some sliders with fries. The burger meat was above average. It was served fairly quickly, but the presentation was quite sloppy. All of the toppings were collected to the side of the sliders, which was quite disappointing. I had to take the top of the bun off and redistribute the toppings. When I did that, there didn't seem to be enough. Then there's the service. I sat at the bar during my visit, and was not happy with the woman who helped me. She did not bring me any utensils, and did not seem committed to providing customer service apart from fulfilling my order, since she never refilled my glass with water. I hear this is a new place, so they might be working out the kinks. I might come back in the future. read more

Coming in and reading the reviews I was really excited to try this burger joint. Entering it was super loud inside the restaurant so we ended up sitting on the patio which was much quieter (there were so many kids inside). The zucchini fries had such good flavor the only issue was they were a little flimsy. If they were stiffer they would've been absolutely perfect but they were still pretty good. They were probably my favorite part of the meal. My friend got the zinburger and I had the el Diablo with a veggie patty. We both seemed to have a problem keeping our burgers together I thought maybe it just the veggie patty but both burgers were hard to eat, they just fell apart. The flavors were good but the veggie patty was pretty mushy and it fell apart super easily. The flavors of everything were good but the texture was a little off for me. First trip to Tucson and after a hard day of hiking we decided on a burger place. Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try on a Friday night. The place was packed which was a good sign and the wait was only about 10 minutes. We got a couple of drinks from the bar and sat down in some chairs until our table was ready. The drafts were Arizona delicious. We sat down in an enclosed outside area which was nice and warm from a fireplace and heaters. I decided on the Samburger which was a delicious bacon cheeseburger while the wife built her own burger of avocados, onions and lettuce and tomatoes. Both burgers were cooked perfectly and had a very nice taste. We also added the truffle fries which were especially delightful. And don't forget the waitstaff. My husband and I went to Zinburger for our first meal of 2022 and it did not disappoint. We started with the Zucchini fries and sweet potato fries and they were fresh, crisp, and were great with some ranch dressing!! I had the California Burger Bowl with extra Brussel sprouts. My husband has the classic Zinburger and it did not disappoint. I had a Bloody Mary and he had a local IPA - both were refreshing. Service was excellent as always. About 30% occupied inside for lunch and the minute I walked in the door I was assaulted by the loud music. Hostess kindly agreed to turn it down. Waiter's approach was far less cordial: "we're not the only one's dining in." As if to imply that my request was invalid? I asked him to repeat himself and he did so, tapping the table condescendingly...unbelievable. Kids were hungry so I chose to ignore him, and instead will share my thoughts with a wider audience. I "get" that restraunts are "struggling " because of COVID restrictions but shouldn't that mean that they would do a better job with the clients they do attract? My friends and I ate at The Zinburger restaurant, 1865 E. River Rd., Tucson, AZ 85718 in March 2019. Food: For appetizers we ordered the zucchini fries and sweet potato fries. Very tasty. Two of us of us ordered the California Burger Bowl. The burger bowl was very good. It had a variety of flavors and I couldn't finish the whole bowl. We both would recommend it. One other friend ordered the Jalapeno Popper burger. She said the meat was okay but the bun was way too big for the patty size. Service: The waiter was very nice but he did not take care of the table. I arrived first and received my drink right away. My friend arrived, placed her drink order and it did not come for about half an hour. Our meal came about 25 minutes after that (close to an hour from when we arrived). I needed to ask if I could get another drink, since my glass had been empty for a while. After we finished our meals, our dirty plates sat on the table for another 40 minutes, until we flagged down the waiter to get our check. He cleared the plates once he brought the check to the table. There were two tables around us that were seated after us, ate and left while we were still there. Our whole event took over 2 hours. So on one side, we never felt rushed, but on the other side, we were kind of the forgotten table. Parking: The restaurant has a large parking lot in front with plenty of parking. Atmosphere: The place was very clean and the noise level was very minimal. A warm feeling with lots of wood everywhere. We went on a Tuesday evening and it was busy, but not crazy busy. Conclusion: The food was good, but the service was lousy. I am hoping it was just a fluke, since it didn't seem to be other table's experience around us. I would give it another try. Update: 3/16/19 After writing my above review, I was contacted by the owner, who offered me a gift certificate to return. My friend and I visited Zinburger today. I am glad to report that we had very good service this time and was in and out of the restaurant within an hour. My friend ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and was very happy with it. I ordered the California Burger Bowl, as I had done before; unfortunately, even though I ordered the meat cooked medium, it was served well-done. When I pointed it out to the server, she immediately offered to have a new meal cooked. I do not like to waste food, and the meat is such excellent quality, so I declined. A few minutes later the floor manager came over and wanted to speak to me about my meal. She sincerely apologized and offered a dessert or shake for my friend and I to enjoy, on the house. The meal portions are very large at Zinburger and both my friend and I were quite full after we ate our food, so we declined the free dessert. They ended up removing the cost of the onions rings we had purchased. So the customer service was topnotch this time but with the mishap of the hamburger, I could not up the amount of stars. read more

I've been here a few times and it's always perfect. Don't be scared to order a crazy burger; it's going to be amazing! I rarely eat meat, so when I do it should be really worthwhile. My last visit here involved my parents. Mom and I couldn't decide, so we ordered two to share: My Boy Blue and El Diablo. I like El Diablo a little better, but was glad to have the choice between the two. We also had the truffle fries which are divine. Dad ordered the Ballpark Burger, a weekly special. Probably one of my favorite burgers in Tucson, every time I visit its a must! Very happy with service, always have had a great experience here. The quality of the burger is excellent, beef has exquisite juicy flavor. They have a great selection of handcrafted burgers to choose from the menu or if you are feeling more adventurous, you can build your own burger, they offer a variety of toppings. I love wine and I love burgers, but I'm just not sure they belong together for me. I ordered a fairly plain cheeseburger and it was incredibly delicious (cooked perfectly). So for that alone I would recommend this restaurant. The onion rings were also really great. The restaurant felt a little tightly packed and since we visited on a Saturday night it was pretty loud as well. So while this is not the place for a quiet or intimate meal, it seems like a great place to grab some food with friends. read more

I went to Zinburger on a Friday night right in the middle of the dinner rush. I checked he resturant out on Yelp first and saw you could be out on the waitlist using the Yelp app, so I used that feature and it worked pretty well. It told us how many parties were going to be seated before us, it was just nice to know. There was a large lack of a waiting area, which was a little awkward and the hostesses where very young and their two friends came in which heavily distracted them, and made us feel a little unwelcome as they were talking about dealing with customers and they weren't being that nice about it. We were sat in the front room, which was a loud atmosphere. My friend and I were sitting across from one another and I had a hard time hearing her multiple time throughout the meal. The server came over promptly and got us drinks. We were read with our order when she returned we were ready with our order, and we had to leave in about an hour and a half to make our next engagement. The waitress was really good. The two of us got the double truffle fries to share, and they were more than enough but not as good as I hoped for. The burger I got was the Blanco and I LOVED it. NOTE: it was spicy! There was heat in every bite. One thing I loved was the bun was grilled with butter. It was perfectly crispy on the inside of the bun which I thought was a very simple unique element, which I really enjoyed. I wanted to give a 5, because I thought this place was cool, but I just can't based on the lack of flavor of the truffle fries and the rudeness of the hostesses. read more

Met there for a meeting. It can get noisy and if you sit by the back door you'll get the breeze every time it opens and you'll face mirrors which is awkward because you'll see your reflection the entire time. I ordered the classic burger and it only comes well done unless you get a double then you can have the meat cooked as requested. Fries are separate. The burger was good and moist. Why did they take the beyond meat option off the menu. This was the best place to have that option. The black bean burger is below par and, in my opinion, too mushy and soft. Out of all the options for plant based burgers, black beans is absolutely the worst. Please bring back the beyond meat option, until then I won't be back. My wife loves good burgers...so when I lost a "bet" on a hockey game between the Minnesota Wilds (she's from the self-proclaimed state of hockey) and the Chicago Blackhawks (my team), she naturally was eager to collect with dinner at a burger place. A quick check on Yelp and with my sister-in-law's recommendation, our party of five opted for Zinburger for dinner the night before I flew back home to Hawaii. We showed up around 6:15 PM and there was a healthy crowd already there. We waited about 10 minutes before we were seated. It took a few minutes before we decided what we would get and in the end I ordered an El Diablo, my wife ordered a Plain and Simple Burger (happy hour so it was for $7), my sister-in-law ordered a Bruce Lee, my brother-in-law had the Zinburger and my father in law, who apparently loves stinky blue cheese, had the Big Bad Blue sans buns. We shared an order of large hand cut fries and two orders of pies. Bud Light and a soda were also ordered with glasses of water and 2 orders of salted caramel shakes. Impressions: the burger was good, not great...for $11.25 or $10.50 a burger, I expected something exceptional. My El Diablo burger had some heat but I thought it was lacking some layers in its flavor. My wife thought her burger was OK. The hand cut fries were really good. The shakes were pretty good and apparently the banana cream pie was good as well. The other pie was ordered to-go. All in all, decent burgers but value wasn't there. Dinner for 5 came out to a whopping $115 including tip! My wife was quick to grab the bill...would have suggested all parties split the hefty check. Oh yeah, the wait staff and hostesses seemed to have a singular "cut from the same mold" look...they were all petite blondes...it's a wonder not more college kids patronize this place for that alone...oh yeah, guess college kids can't shell out much money for burgers. First visit - ordered the classic diner burger with cheddar in stead of standard american cheese. great burger - like the high end -fine dining - "patty made on premises" restaurant burgers - not like QSR/Casual Dining "patty came from the food service supplier". Server advised me the patty was thin and came well done. I disagree with that description and I think it is thick enough to request 'medium' cooking next time. Iwill see what happens. Onion rings...half way between QSR and real top end steakhouse rings - but a repeat item for me. Banana Cream pie was big portion, obviously made for sharing. Oh - and the the hibiscus whiskey smash was an excellent, well balanced cocktail with neither the whiskey or the 'jamaica' liquer too dominate.
