Back in Feb, I had one of the worst dining experiences I can remember. That night was capped off by waiting over 45+ min for a piece of pie that never came because no one bothered to tell us that the restaurant had run out. This was the end to a 90-minute debacle that ended with me swearing this place off forever. Today I really wanted pie, so I lifted my boycott and ordered 2x pieces of pie via their online portal. I was hesitant, but how difficult could it be to get two pieces of pie to a car parked 15' from the door? The online portal said I had to wait 25 min to pick up my pie. This seemed like a long time to get 2 pieces of pie into boxes, but I didn't want to assume. At my instructed time, I arrived at curbside parking spot #3. I called the phone number on the sign as instructed, and then I waited... At the 20 min mark (45+ min from when I originally placed the order), I got out of my car, walked into the restaurant, and requested a refund. The manager at the podium walked off to not get my money. I was then approached by the To Go order person, who informed me that since I did not tell her specifically about my order, that I had somehow not fulfilled my end of the money for pie transaction. I pointed out that I called the only phone number listed on the parking sign, and that perhaps the communication gap was not on my end. At this point the less-than-useful manager returned, and I again explained that I just wanted my money (this time with more cussing). He turned and headed to the back of the house again, and about 5 min later, returned with a receipt of the refund. I wish I could say that I was surprised, but ultimately I left more confused/angry than anything. While I am not a statistician, it seems almost mathematically impossible that I stop going to this restaurant in part to a 45+ min wait that ends with me not getting pie, wait 5 months, order pie via their online system, and again somehow wait over 45 min and leave without any pie. read more

I have been to two locations and been very happy with service and food quality at both. The burgers are delicious, there is a nice selection of beer and wine, and the service is always quick and friendly. It's also a comfortable place to eat even when I'm on my own. I highly recommend! read more

Zinburger has been a special occasion place for us for a long time, I was out and about yesterday and decided I needed a takeout burger. Ordered burger, fries and milkshake, picked up in about 15-20 minutes and the order was being bagged when I walked in. Fries: quite cool and a pretty small amount. Milkshake: whipped cream was butter and milkshake was fine. Burger: Inedible. Tasted like a salt shaker fell on it and I sorta picked through to see if there was a better part but gave up. Also was quite cool and not like it had just been cooked. Bun was pretty soggy but it's takeout so that's fine. Probably will stick to dining in read more

One of the best burgers in Tucson! Great staff and ambience! Definitely will be back.

Larger party of 6 was accommodated easily. VERY attentive server. Never forgot a thing and was quick with additional requests. Food was yummy! Good portions. Loud but that should be expected when you see the high ceilings and concrete floors. It was a great place to go with our 15 month granddaughter. She wasn't fussy at all but if she was, it certainly wouldn't bother anyone! read more

Mom doesn't get out often, and she was craving a good burger. After checking reviews, I picked Zinburger. A month later, she is still calling Me and asking me to take her back. The chocolate shake was an extra bonus! Our lunch was an experience that she thinks about often. When back in town, this will be our first stop!! read more

This is one of our go-to restaurants. The burgers and sandwiches are always good. The outdoor patio with misters is one of the best in town. We can always count on great service from the staff. The fried zucchini is probably the best thing on the menu. They offer gluten free buns and have some lighter menu items such as salads and the California Bowl. Just about anyone can find a great option here. Casual and nice - you can dress up or down and feel welcome. read more

Zinburger is awesome! Love the service, Tati is the best! I wish the popper was still on the menu! Bring it back!

I love a restaurant that already has a delectable gluten-free meal option on the menu! It is always a relief to be able to simply order without having to adjust everything as I do! The California Burger Bowl was scrumptious. The Brussels sprouts were crispy, the sweet potato was soft and the burger patty was cooked to perfection. Lefty got the Bruce Lee, with sweet BBQ sauce and jalapeños and said it was also delicious. My children enjoyed their $6 children's meals, too! They tried the chicken fingers, which were beautifully fried and crispy, and the cheeseburger, which was devoured in minutes. We then went all out for the kids with a cookies and cream milkshake and a root beer float, and were so happy to find that you can order the desserts "kids size." The bathrooms are adorable and very clean, and the staff were all so kind. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for a few years and finally had the opportunity. Great menu choices. Excellent wine list, which is a given. The vibe of the space is quite enjoyable and the service was very, very good. Well with the prices and I really look forward to gong back again soon. read more

I love love the cow decor everywhere. This is actually what drove me into the place The service was great we had a sweet waiter who gave good suggestions and answered all our questions. I got the sangria which was soooo good. There's like some sort of subtle cinnamon aftertaste that tastes sooooo yummy. The burger was great and filling (I ordered the Diablo). The truffle fries were yummy too. I'd say it was good The one thing I was disappointed in was that the happy hour is not as the menus posted which has $5 burgers and $6 cocktails. Instead we got 20% off which is still a deal I guess! read more

Damn who woulda thought that burgers pair well with wine? Not me! But then again a good beef steak with a glass of red wine is the standard, and what's a burger if not a macerated steak? Didn't even really want burgers for dinner night I went but man am I sure glad I did! Ordered the classic/standard burger and everything in it was perfection. Doesn't come with fries and it didn't need it! My cousin ordered the jalapeño burger and her partner got the chicken sandwich. We shared the green chili and truffle fries. The portions were so reasonable, didn't feel stuffed after even though we each got a cocktail as well. The bun was nice and fluffy, gorgeous lamination on top. Burger comes medium as standard and it was perfect, I don't love pink burgers usually cuz my stomach is sensitive but I felt fab afterward, no tummy problems. Meat was juicy and flavorful and fresh. Cocktails were bomb and strong. Would love to come back here, it's right next to my other new fave in Tucson, Prep and Pastry. Good service too :) read more

It's a different concept on a burger but it was delicious. The service was good and the ambiance was nice. I like the misting spray they have for people sitting outside. That's really nice! It's not the best hamburger spot but it will satisfy you if your hungry! read more

The service is great and the burgers are the best. The zucchini fries are crisp and awesome.

FIRST, I will say that the quality and taste of their simple menu is tasty, no doubt. However, I think its really petty not to offer fries with such a pricey burger. Customer service has grown inconsistent over the years and that's a bummer. my fave is the Asian inspired burger... read more

I like eating at this place. There are a few other options in the area, but I trust them to take care of me and my celiac. The service is prompt and the food always tastes really good. Lots of parking, good for groups, solo or a casual date. My burger was delish. read more

Food was good, as always. Service too. And the ambiance is fine. The problem happened with the manager and his "don't bother me" attitude. Today, my company had a meeting in a special room at the Grant Road location in Tucson. Probably about a $500 bill after tip, I would guess. Not that big of a deal. When I was leaving, I noticed that another car had parked next to mine on the driver's side. And the car was parked so far over in my space that I could not open my door to get in. The cabin of my car is also not designed for a large man like me to get in on the passenger side and climb over the high console (and gear shift). The rest of my party had already left. So I walked back into the restaurant and asked the hostess whether she recognized the car or how we could solve this issue. She went off to get the manager. When the manager returned, I was expecting to describe my situation. But while he was still ten feet away, he announced "it's not my car, so I can't help you". Quite taken aback, I responded, "Well, I never said it was your car, but perhaps you can think with me a while and come up with ideas." He was already shaking his head. At that point I tried to talk with him about different ideas, but he wasn't interested. Every third word I said, he was shaking his head and not listening at all. His attitude was one of complete disregard. He suggested that maybe the car owner was in one of the other businesses that shared the wide parking lot, despite the fact there were plenty of open spots in front of the other establishments (each at least 100 feet away) and this car was directly in front of Zinburger. Since I had no better ideas, I followed the manager's suggestion and visited the other nearby businesses. The other managers listened and sympathized even though I was not one of their customers (this day). They asked around to see whether any of their customers or employees had driven there in a dark blue minivan. Of course, the answer was "no". Maybe the ideas I came up with would have all been against Zinburger corporate policy. We'll never know. But the real problem here was the manager's "no, and I don't care about your problem" attitude. I asked him several times to stop and help me think about ideas, but he had other things that were more important to him, I guess. I sarcastically thanked him for his help. Ultimately I went back to my car, ready to just stand there in the 107 degree heat and wait for the owner of the car to emerge from Zinburger and drive away. That's when the manager of Sauce came out and offered to get into my car through the passenger side and climb over the center console so she could back my car out. (She was a petite person, and even if not she probably would have asked a young employee whether they might help.) Problem solved. Now, I'm not saying that I can expect that solution or any of the other solutions I tried to come up with. But it's an example of caring about your fellow human (I was not even one of her customers!) and thinking outside of the box to help. For heaven's sake, at least listen, smile, and sympathize. I don't know how long the manager of the Zinburger on Grant Road has been working in the service industry, but if it's been any length of time, I'll wager that I'm not the first customer he has dismissed, and I won't be the last. Our company will not be holding any more lunch meetings at Zinburger, and I will steer everyone I know away from that Grant Road location. Dr. Randy Thompson read more

Well I had a meal at this location the other day for lunch. I forget the name of it, buy it had jalapenos and hot stuff on it. It was no doubt a good burger. My friend got the basic regular cheeseburger. That one was definitely a little bland to taste after having the one with jalapenos. One thing that really stuck out to me, was the size of the basket of fries. First I felt a little cheated ordering a burger and having to order fries completely separate. Makes me feel like they don't just bundle them together because there isnt anything that special about the burgers and they dont want to have to explain why a burger and fries comes to 20 dollars. So it was like 7 or 8 dollars for a large basket. Thing about it was, the basket looked small even if I would have ordered a small. I mean the burger tasted good, but something about the place left q bad taste in my mouth. read more

Zinburger has been one of our favorite go-to places for wonderful burgers. We eat there at least every other week. We stopped in after church today for lunch. We ordered the special, the Ringer which was described as Certified Angus Beef, Pepperjack Cheese, Bacon, Onion Rings, Lettuce, Mayo, and red sauce. We had tried this burger earlier in the month. It was delicious and not spicy. While waiting, my husband had a draft beer, and I had an Old Fashioned. My glass was half empty. I asked the waitress if someone had spilled the drink, because I have ordered this here in the past and received a full glass. She said, "Oh,no. We just give a smaller portion for this drink." When our burgers came, they were incredibly spicy. I have allergic reactions to heavy spice, but my husband generally can manage spice well. We were splitting the burger. After a couple bites, I could not catch my breath and was coughing. Even my husband who enjoys a little spice was having trouble with it. The waitress came to our table, and I asked about the spice. She said, "I told you it was spicy." She had not. Red Sauce does not automatically mean spice to a customer. Ketsup is red sauce. We had enjoyed this burger earlier in the month, and it was not spicy. The manager took the burger off our bill. When the waitress brought the bill, she was very upset and very rude. She threw the bill on the table. This is not the way you treat people if you want customers who come back. read more

My oh my, this place just gets better! The burger of the month is by far my all-time favorite! The Chuck Norris Burger is D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S. My awesome bartender was our server and happy to see the other Zin fam too! It's still the same welcoming atmosphere as it was over 5 years ago when I first stepped into Zinburger; being a newbie to Tucson. Great memories and looking forward to many more! read more

Searched for a great burger in Tucson and stumbled on this place! An hour wait so we waited in the bar area with drinks and appetizers. I was able to sample the following items and all items were delish! Onion rings, green chili fries, black cherry Moscow mules, zucchini fries, Parmesan truffle fries, diner burger, & Bruce Lee burger! The only reason this isn't a five star review is because the staff at the bar was less than friendly. Not rude, but not friendly either. Our waitress was very nice and friendly and on top of her service, too! The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating to choose from. read more

Joseph is the best! Great attention to detail. Always a smile on his face! And the food is amazing

So I've heard great things about the burgers here and I finally made it in to try. I was not WOWED by the burgers here at all. First off, the staff was friendly and the tables were clean. The prices are astronomical, I was under the assumption that all the beef was Kobe, especially after seeing the price for a burger with no side. $12 for a base burger and an additional $5 if you want it to be Kobe beef! So minimum you are in $17 for a bun, burger, cheese, toppings with fries between $4 and $6 to add on. For this price we ordered the loaded fries for the extra $2. Came out and looked amazing, smothered in cheese and other yummies... only issue we still had no silverware. After 8 minutes of waiting I finally got the servers attention and asked for silverware. He said "sorry I missed that". Then our drinks came out, each of them was fully filled with ice and the liquid was only filled up about 3/4 of the way, second round came out that way to. Food tasted great and the burger was a decent size. The chicken sandwich tasted great but had hardly any bbq sauce on it. $44 for two adults to eat 2 sandwhiches, 1 fry, and 1 wine. Pretty steep price for a burger joint. May return to try the Kobe burger when I've got an extra $20 to spend on it. read more

What a charming wine bar. My hubby and I were for a birthday happy hour for my niece and it was a perfect gathering place and venue. She turned 21 and we wanted it to be a super special place for her and the celebration. We didn't eat while we were there but we did partake in several adult beverages. My niece had the spicy margarita cocktail that had the right amount of heat. Their cocktail menu had several selections but she wanted the spicy drink. The table ordered a bottle of wine, Sauvignon Blanc, Crossings. It was a nice pear flavor with an extra tartness to it. We sat outside with the misters and it was the perfect venue for a typical Arizona day. The service was so on point. We really enjoyed our server Cory who made this day so special. We enjoyed the venue so well and we plan on making this wine bar our go to for a special outing. Check out the pics. read more

Stopped at the Grant rd location today for lunch. As first timers, we really didn't know what to expect. Being gluten intolerant, I ordered the California Burger Bowl and man oh man- it was FANTASTIC!! I do believe it was the best tasting burger I've ever had. My daughter ordered the Chicken sandwich, crispy, and it was equally delish. We definitely will return. My only complaint - our server was dreadfully slow. We sat for 15 minutes before being greeted, and then it took just as long or longer to get our drinks and meals. There wasn't much of a crowd there, but I noticed every table waiting a painfully long time for their orders. They definitely could improve in this department. read more

I went to Zinburger for lunch one and the service was slow and I was in a rush. I got a burger and they gave quite a bit of quite a bit of food, but I do not think that there was anything really special about the food. I my try them again in the future when I am not rushed. read more

My server Megan was so so friendly and bubbly!! The service was 10/10 and so quick! Would definitely recommend going.

New Happy Hour menu is so limited. We miss the old menu which was economical and varied. Our favorite food is not on the regular menu! Our group of 10-12 people looked forward to our monthly meeting. We will no longer visit because the food quality has declined and the prices have increased. Really disappointing, the menu changes and price increases and food quality declines will make our group find a better place to eat. read more

This was a pretty solid place, but I think it was a little pricy for what we got. My biggest complaint is it's one of the burger places that fries are not included with your burger, when I'm paying $10 per burger I would like fries. That being said - all the food was phenomenal. We each had a burger and split the truffle fries. The truffle fries are probably some of my new favorite fries of all time! The drink we ordered (Hibiscus Whiskey Smash) was not good to either of us and we have very different tastes. Overall, if you're looking for a specialty burger this would be the place to look, and get a side of truffle fries! read more

Zinburger has definitely stepped up their takeout. The first couple times I had it, it wasn't as great as it was in restaurant. Got it yesterday and it was fantastic. We had the burger bag for $28. Came with two burger choices, fry bag and wedge salad. The fry bag was perfectly crispy! I don't really like onion rings, but theirs were crispy and perfectly breaded. They tasted extremely fresh. The burger of the month Bruce Lee was delicious as always. The burger bowl was better than any I've had in the past year from them. We also tried the shake of the month which was good. On Tuesday's they had a takeout discount online, which is great because their takeout process is fairly simple. You drive up to the spot, they come out ask your name and they bring your order. You don't even have to get out read more

First I want to say that the seats inside are among the most uncomfortable encountered. Hamburger was good, and for 6.5 ounces the price was fine (14.95). The chicken was OK but rather small for the price. Fries were not fresh. Service was terrific. Again, uncomfortable chairs. read more

Zinburger is one of my favorite dining places. Whether I'm in the mood for a juicy, delicious burger or a refreshing drink, Zinburger never fails to provide an excellent experience. Their burgers are thick and juicy, complemented well by delicious and creative toppings. One of my favorites is the Diablo Burger with roasted jalapeno peppers and cheese. I'm giving these 4 stars for their delicious truffle fries, which are PERFECTLY salty and earthy sweet all at the same time. The burger I had was pretty rare in my book, however, I ordered it medium rare. Maybe it's like a steak and I should've known it would be red, not pink in the middle. At any rate-the bacon was crisp and delicious, the burger flavorful-though too red for me-and I really wish the food would've been at least a bit hotter than luke warm. I ordered from the website and it said pick up time was 15 minutes out. I arrived then but waited an extra 10 min, so maybe it sat under a heat lamp? I don't know, but I will be back for the fries, and when I order my next burger, it'll be medium!! Hopefully it'll be hot next time as well! I know things happen - and those fries were the best truffle fries ever. read more
