Pizza was reasonably priced and one is enough for two with salad. Service was fast, food was good. One pizza was up to 5-6 toppings so, it was good! I love pizza. It isn't my favorite food (steak), but it's up there. And it's definitely my go to "normal" food (not a special occasion). It's delicious, it's not SUPER unhealthy, and it's usually reasonably inexpensive (especially for a full meal). I've been to this place in Oceanside on several occasions. I have never had a bad experience here with the service or the food. The pizza has always been very good. They have several options to choose from, and I think you can even "build your own pizza" if you want to. I always just order straight off the menu. I've always called my order in ahead, and then by the time I'm at the restaurant my pizza is ready to go. The pizzas are small enough that I can eat an entire pie in a single serving, and would probably serve as a meal for a larger individual (or a hungry one), but they're also small that two adults could probably split one if they wanted to. They also have a row of refrigerators filled with beverages in the line to check out. I've never eaten in the restaurant, but it seems like it has a nice vibe. The restaurant is also only a few blocks away from the beach. The one downside to this location (and all of downtown Oceanside really) is parking. There is a lot in the block just north of this location, but it is paid. I've never been able to find street parking at this location. Paying for parking might not seem like a big deal when you're dining in, or spending an afternoon, but it's a bummer to have to pay to park if you're just picking your pizza up. That's more of a complaint with the city though than with the restaurant. Overall, I like this place and will definitely be back. Highly recommend. read more

I am here on a mission trip with my church from South Carolina, and we were looking for a spot to have dinner for 30+ people. ZigZag Pizza was closing when we came by, and they were so kind to stay open for us and serve our incredibly large group. We were all so thankful to have a delicious meal after canvassing the city, and the employees were absolutely amazing... they took our orders and made our food in such a timely manner and with such joy. Their drink selection was absolutely fire and so was the pizza. The cheese pull was insane!!!! I would recommend everyone new and seasoned in the area to stop by and check them out! I would also like to add that the ranch was out of this world... like better than Wing Stop ranch. ALSO they had ice cream! If I wasn't so full after eating I definitely would have gotten some, like Ben and Jerry's ice cream. Overall they had such a good selection of food and were so kind :) read more

This place has become a staple for me and my family when we're in town. They offer a gluten free/cauliflower option which is amazing and the ingredients always taste fresh and feel like they've been make with care. The staff is friendly and the positive vibes are at an 11. The only negative I can give is there aren't more locations near me. Love it while you're there, miss it when you're away. read more

Best pizza in Oceanside! Maybe best pizza anywhere. Be sure to ask that they don't cook it well done, unless you like it that way. The restaurant is a block away from the ocean. You can sit outside and get a small glimpse of the water if you want to see it. Nice kids, too. read more

I just had an absolutly awful experience here. We drove an hour to try and get safe food for my children with Celiac while on our west coast roadtrip. The reviews on the Find Me Gluten Free App were good! When we got to counter and ordered 2 GF cheese pizza for my sons, I explained that they had Celiac. The counter person asked if they were at risk for cross contamination? I explained that they were, but that I had read online that they use a separate cooking space, changed gloves, ect. He looked at me and said "we're in the business of flour, its busy, accidents happen, there's a very good chance that cross contamination will happen". I asked again about the protocols that I had read about online, and he replied that it was busy and "people make mistakes". It was 6pm on a Friday, but only moderately busy, plenty of open tables. The manner in which he was speaking was almost a threat. He was clearly annoyed that he was wasting his time with our conversation. I fully understand that unless we're at a dedicated GF restaurant there is always a chance of Cross Contamination, but typically staff are confident in their protocols. I explained that my children would get sick from Cross Contamination, looking for a "we can try our best, or let me check with the kitchen". He just stared at me. We canceled our order and left. We're 1.5 years into my kids' diagnosis and I've never felt so belittled or dismissed by anyone before. Just yesterday at a Mexican restaurant in LA, the host was able to answer some questions and politely explained that their cooking surfaces were probably unsafe. He apologized and we politely left. No big deal, not their fault. I always appreciate honestly, but I've never experienced anything like this interaction at ZigZag. read more

Cool little pizza spot near the pier. Create your own or order one from the menus. They have fridges in the front where are you can walk up and grab your own drinks or beer, walk up and order, sit wherever you like, and they bring your pizza to you. this place was walking distance from the hotel i was staying at. it was also right by the pier but it was too cold to walk over there so we sufficed with just enjoying the view. i always go for a basic pepperoni pizza. i'm so glad i went a different route. the bbq chicken pizza was sooooo good! i rarely eat pineapple on my pizza but for some reason, the pineapple and bbq went so well together. as for the buffalo pizza, the white sauce wasn't really my favorite. it personally had a weird after taste. i would definitely go back and try different flavors! read more

I agree with the other reviewers, adding a 5% supplemental fee is deceiving for a customer. Raise your prices instead! Im sure im not the only tourist who did not noticed it until I got my receipt. It was my first and last time I will be eating here. I gave a 20% tip and it shocked me that they also sneaked that fee in. The service was decent. This place is decent. It's comparable to Blaze Pizza, in price, cheaper actually. Solid selection of toppings AND they don't overload the pizza with them. Ingredient quality doesn't seem quite as high as Blaze but if you account for their prices, it's a pretty good deal. I'll easily go here over Blaze. Nice, pretty cute interior for fast casual. It was fairly busy when I came in and service was quick. Update: This place currently has a 4% surcharge. Came here after walking around a bit on the pier and wanted to eat something my hubby and I could split. We came across this place and decided to split a pizza. The pizza was 11 inches. We ordered ticket to paradise-one that has chicken, bacon and some pineapple and was drizzled with some mango habanero sauce that was absolutely delicious. If they sold that sauce I would definitely buy it. The crust was thin and crunchy where it needed to be. I can see ourselves coming back to eat this again. read more

Really great beer selection although the food is sub par. They have beers I've never even heard of and they are outstanding! I've stopped by multiple times and just had a drink and it was always great. I just recently tried their food and I was a bit disappointed. I ordered a Hawaiian pizza the toppings alll tasted very fresh but the pizza itself was soggy and extremely spicy. The salads come in a to-go container even if you're ordering to eat in. Which was a bit odd, but other than that the salad was huge!! Definitely shareable, unfortunately there was hardly any dressing and the flavor itself was just very average. Suggested by a friend, this place is a block away from the beach. You pick up a laminated menu and order at the counter. The pizzas are 11" and half of that was enough for me with an Elysian oatmeal stout. Ordered the Maggie's Farm, a Veggie pizza with lemon vinaigrette. What? It went so well with the veggies that it was almost too sweet? It was very good! There are refrigerators full of beer and soft drinks. Brilliant! They also had a blond ale on tap, but I usually tend towards the darker stuff. Great suggestion and highly recommended! read more

Trip Advisor rated this place in their Top Five for pizza in Oceanside. So we tried it - what a disappointment in every way. FOOD - The crust most closely resembled cardboard in texture and flavor. The sauce was either non existent or flavorless. The toppings were sparce and pedestrian. The quick serve national pizza stores and the grocery store freezers are better SERVICE - It started off fine when they took our order and they delivered our order to our table. But things went downhill quickly. As staff cleaned newly vacated tables nearby they scraped the metal chairs over the concrete floor making an ear splitting racket. Then as we were finishing up, staff began their closing process by tossing those metal chairs up on the metal tables - more racket. We couldn't get out quickly enough. read more

As far as pizza places go, their pizzas are pretty good. They also have some good beer to choose from. We got the zz top. Very good. Nice amount of cheese and the sauce wasn't too acidic. Highly recommend. read more

Beware! Their prices are a lie! Once you order, they charge a random surcharge! False pricing! I won't be back! UPDATE: I got your message. I understand that you want to fairly compensate your employees, as you should. But don't pretend you are keeping prices down. You must realize that adding a surcharge effectively raises the prices for everyone who comes in. You are just being deceptive in your pricing. You set it up so everyone thinks your prices haven't changed and then you sneak in a price increase when they pay, knowing that most customers don't even look at the receipt. This place is decent, however it could be better if they didn't mess up every time I went there. The last two times we've ordered there ( one dine in and the other pick up ) they messed up my husbands order. We get a create your own where we literally tell them what we want on it. when we dined and the order was wrong, the staff was cold and harsh when we told them. When we asked for ranch for our pizzas the lady who gave us our food gave us a dirty look as if we were asking for too much. It's not really worth going out of your way to come here and get pizza, but if you're in the area then it's a decent spot.
