    the receipt for the coffee

This evening I ordered from Grubhub yet this is not what I ordered. I ordered a 32oz smoothie and a 32oz cocoa. I got this with my drinks and was quite confused. I do not understand why it is hard to get the right receipt but two 32oz drinks were definitely more then $5. Ziggys is a very good place to go and I usually don't have issues but I like to keep my receipts just in case something goes wrong but this was definitely not my receipt. The staff are nice and friendly but on the other hand when you order and you get the food or drinks it's actually quite terrible. Everything was melted and gross. I'm not saying it's always bad because I usually have a good experience like I said before but this was just not one of those times and frankly I was disgusted with the drinks. Tip. Good work but please pay attention to your orders.

Came by a few days later and they were still out and had a blueberry scone instead. (Absolute delish) * breakfast burritos (wish I would've tried) * Drinks were good. Overall, good place to work from, they have regulars and I loved that vibe. Neighborhood coffee shop, nice meet up place, and hang out for a bit as well. :)

The drinks are fantastic, the pastries are great, and the staff is consistently kind and talented. But I'm still baffled by the lack of ceramic "for here" mugs. They clearly have the infrastructure to support them. There's a bussing station ready and waiting, and they make the pastries and cheesy bits in house. You can't tell me they don't have a place to wash a few mugs! Choosing not to offer reusable mugs is costing more than just extra paper cups; it's costing loyal customers like me. I've found myself going elsewhere lately, not because I don't love MeCo, but because even when I remember to bring my own cup, my friends usually don't. It feels wasteful to sit down and try to enjoy coffee in a disposable to-go cup. This feels like a small, one-time investment with a big environmental and customer loyalty return. I truly hope MeCo reconsiders.

"If I move away, I'll still think about this place" favorite. The second you walk in, it feels warm, cozy, and inviting. It's become my go-to spot to read, work, meet friends, or just exist with a really good London Fog. At this point, it's less of a coffee shop and more of a sanctuary. Even my service animal, Mr. Boo, gets excited when we pull up. The drinks are consistently amazing, and the staff somehow manages to make everyone feel like a regular. Now let's talk about the chocolate muffin. I'm not a muffin person. Never have been. Yet somehow this muffin has me questioning my entire identity. How do they make the top perfectly crunchy while the inside stays so fluffy? I don't know. I don't need answers. I just need another muffin. And the cinnamon rolls? They're the size of a small planet and every bit as life-changing. If loving them is wrong, I don't want to be right. I'll happily sing the praises of Java Stop until my dying breath. This place has carved out a genuinely special spot in my heart, and I couldn't be more grateful it's part of my community.

This is the closest locally owned coffee shop for both of us so we were excited to try it! I do not love the parking in this strip mall so may park on the street next time, but we were able to park on the street side of the lot without issue finding a spot on a Sunday morning. Ambiance first - we loved the space. There were lots of seating options, including 2-top and 4-top tables, patio seating, and couches. People with dogs (as in 1-2 people plus their dog) monopolized the couches for the entire 2 hours we were there, so that seating appears not so much a community shared space as a "whoever gets there first gets the whole thing". Some of the tables have one side on a bench seat/booth and the other on a chair, which worked great for us! Despite being busy on a Sunday morning it was not overwhelmingly loud - they don't have visible sound deadening materials so I'm not sure how they accomplished it, but neither of our sensitivities to busy cafe noises were triggered here. I like to test out new coffee shops with the basics - black drip coffee or cold brew. My friend does dairy free lattes. My cold brew was diluted pretty heavily to begin with and they killed it dead by filling the cup all the way to the top with ice. If I wanted an iced coffee I'd order an iced coffee and I don't appreciate paying $4 for a cup of ice that tastes like coffee, so no stars for my beverage. My friend enjoyed hers. We also ordered the palisade peach toast, a king egg (I don't recall if this is what they call it here) and I think something else. Nothing was noteworthy. They do have some fun things on the menu that I will eventually go back for, like the dandelion and chicory caffeine free coffee, and I'll go find out if the chai is the locally-typical syrup-from-a-can or traditionally brewed. Unfortunately their hours are such that they don't open early enough for commuters and are closed before the end of the workday, so they're probably geared more to the high school, WFH, SAH, and retired demographic than the working class. But assuming I find time that I want a beverage and they happen to be open, I look forward to visiting again to try out the juice/smoothie and non-caffeinated side of things.

I really liked the attention to details (such as the hooks for hanging a purse under the countertop). Cool decor and the vibe is like somebody oversized den, but instagram-worthy, you know?
