One of our very favorite places for great, fast chicken! It's always cooked to order and the French fries are great with the seasoning! One of my absolute favorite go-to chicken spot, since I lived in North Carolina years ago. Everything I've had here is good, my favorite thing is Wings & Things, chicken fingers, boneless or (bone-in) wings with seasoned fries, celery, texas toast, with ranch and Zaxby's sauce! It tastes good enough to be like bar food, but it's not. You can dine in or go through the drive thru, and on a lunch break it's perfect for that. For the longest time they kept the lights off at night to look as if they were closed and they long had also been closed for a while as well with a bordered up door. They oversaturate the hot wings with sauce also. read more

If you are trying to be "healthy" well, perhaps this isn't the best location for that, however that do have a very tasty Chicken Salad and speaking of Zalads. The Caesar, The House and The Cobb all have options of grilled or fried chicken or just the plain garden salad. I have eaten the grilled Cobb many times....it's pretty good, especially with the fresh blue cheese dressing. But enough of talk of salads...lettuce get to the meat of this review. Experienced the worst drive thru service today. While waiting to order food I drove up to order and waited for a few and was ignored. I then started saying hello and excuse me and was still ignored. Finally drove to the window to order and they said the didn't hear or see me but couldn't take my order at that time because the person behind me was currently ordering. I've had trouble with drive through accuracy in the past, but today I placed a large(ish) online order and came inside to pick it up. I ordered the nibblerz and a kickin chicken sandwich for my boyfriend. Now I worked at Zaxbys so i know how the food should look. It took everything in me not to go back and demand a refund. Nibblerz is 3 mini sandwiches each with one chicken tender but only one of mine had a tender for the other two sandwiches they literally ripped one tender in half to make up for the other two. I give the Mansfield location a low rating due to their lack of customer service and inconsistent food quality. I actually prefer the taste of Zaxby's chicken fingers over Raising Cane's; however, this location forces me to drive farther to get chicken fingers at Cane's. One day I ordered some buffalo wings and a chicken finger plate to go. When I got home I noticed that all 10 of the buffalo wings were wing pieces and there was not a single drumstick in the mix. I then open my chicken finger box and find that there was no Zax sauce, just ranch dressing! I write a letter teling them that their service needs to step it up and I am surprised that teir service is not friendly and outgoing like the other locations I have been at in the SE United States. The store manager never calls, but I do get a letter in the mail from corporate offering me "5 Free Chicken Fingers". Eventually I get an email from a District Manager who tells me that he does not understand how his retaurant id any different than other Zaxby's locations in Georgia, Alabama, etc.. I tell him that the service received by employees is far superior and the food quality is better. Their employees look like they are happy to be working there and the food tastes like it is made to order. The Mansfield employees look like they are mad that they are working there and the food tastes pre-made and is sitting under a warmer. Furthermore; one time I was there the Manager was at the front counter and he did not greet a single customer while he was playing around on the register. In the meantime while in Mansfield/Arlington, I will drive further to go to Raising Cane's where the employees are proud to work there anf the food is fresh. read more

Zaxby's is my hometown fav from back in Athens, GA. Every visit is just as memorable as the last. If you're seeking a chicken fix (wing or strip) then look nowhere else. Canes is several levels underneath Zaxby's without any thought. The tenders are crispier. The breading (batter) is fresher and tastier. Zaxby's also features a full menu unlike Canes. Oh yeah! The sweet tea is king at Zaxby's!! Move aside Canes...the pretender. Zaxby's is going to take Texas by storm. Back in Georgia, Zaxby's is more prevalent buy also the top choice among chicken lovers. The Game Day meal that began for The University of Georgia fans is now a Saturday meal for more and more states and colleges every year. For those that were not aware, Guthrie's was the founding Southern chicken strip joint in the quick service realm. When they sold their sauce and chicken recipe to Zaxby's, the torch was passed on. My fiancée and I decided to stop in and try here because the local BFF was packed and we were starving. The place looks fairly nice for a fast food restaurant on the outside, which makes it slightly more appealing. When we walked into order, I informed the cashier I had never been in there before, but he proceeded to keep asking what we were ordering. My fiancée then began to order, and I ordered after him. I asked him what type of batter their chicken was fried in, if it was soft or crispy. I'm pregnant so if it was the soft kind I would have opted for something grilled. The cashier then informed me he had no idea what was on the chicken he didn't eat it... Okay. I went ahead and ordered the same thing as my fiancée as to not be complicated, and the cashier repeated what we had ordered and he actually got my fiancées order completely wrong. However, we were hungry and decided to just roll with it. After ordering I went to the soft drink machine. Of course the ice machine was broken, and they were completely out of iced tea. After all of the employees began a pow wow of sorts with a bunch of high school kids that didn't work there next to our table, our food was finally ready. The chicken strips were decent, and of the four that I ordered only two were burnt. The chicken strips were incredibly small, the fries were pretty good, and the fried cheese was actually tasty. I came here for the first time yesterday. I ordered the chicken fingers. The chicken was not crispy, and had no flavor. My toast was burned on one side. I thought the coleslaw was ok. The french fries had some type of seasoning salt on them. They were not hot, but were decent. I don't usually drink soda but my Dr Pepper was not carbonated. But I was so displeased with the service I received today ...after asking for fresh chicken , the cashier yelled it to the cooks ... after hearing the cook Huff and puff I was only slightly annoyed.
