This Zaxby's is absolutely terrible. Drive through service couldn't be any worse. They are rude, when I paid for extra sauce, she had an attitude with me. Then when I checked the bag to make sure my other sauces were there, she was even more rude saying she already gave them to me. This is exactly why I check before going home. Then when I told her what sauces I was missing she said "oh yeah" like she already knew she didn't give them. Staff definitely needs training. Portion sizes are skimp. I asked for large fries and they gave me a small size portion. They are also very stale and cold like they have been sitting out for a long time. Chicken is always cold, bland, no flavor. No matter if its chicken sandwich, fingers or wings. What a waste of money. Also, this is my 3rd time coming because I gave them the benefit of the doubt since I came when they had just opened prior. Ohhhh how I love me some Zaxby's!!! I've been a fan as far back as I can remember while growing up in Georgia. I've been waiting a long time for one to open in the DMV and it just so happens that this one is only 3 miles from my home. The grand opening was on September 16th and for the first 100 customers they were giving out a deck of cards that listed a free meal to enjoy for the next 52 weeks. I was fortunate to be customer #69 In typical Zaxby's fashion everything from the food to the customer service was oh so good. I'm not ashamed to admit that I've been two more times since the grand opening and they are still hitting on all cylinders. I'm going to continue to enjoy the convenience of living 3 miles away by returning often!! read more

Been here twice since they opened. First time: Came a little bit before dinner and ordered four platters. They messed up two of the platters (had put them as two cheaper options). I let one of the staff know (I think she was a manager). She asked if the cashier repeated my order back to me and I said that she did not. She gently reminded the cashier and they had to re-do the two orders. Since it was their mistake, they didn't charge me the difference even though two of my orders were more than the two orders that they charged me for. It did take awhile to get my correct order but understandable as it is a busy place and they are still ironing out the kinks. I got the food to go and brought it home. The fries were a bit soggy but flavors were still good in every thing. I didn't know the wings could be tossed in a different sauce besides the buffalo sauce. Kept that in mind for the second time that I went. Second time: Ordered two orders of the wings and things platters. This time we got the wings tossed in the sweet and spicy sauce and wow they were so good! I also went on a weekday when I was working from home and ordered during lunch. It was busy but not chaotic and the service was fast. The food was so good! I love the wing and things platter because you get some wings, some chicken tenders, fries, slice of toast, and a drink for about $10. Wow! What a disappointment today! The floors were so greasy people were sliding around and a child couldn't get out of bathroom because of it! The tea container was wide open - no lid on top! The good - Quick access to something different. The bad - What a challenge to get just Zax sauce instead of ranch. It's a 10% chance they get it right. You ask for the "large" sometimes you get extra fries, sometimes you don't. Somehow the food is cold after a 10 minute drive. Sometimes the fries are soft, sometimes they are toastier than the toast. We ate lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. Our first visit to a Zaxby's. The service was fast, friendly, and efficient. The gentleman who took our order was very pleasant. We had the asian grilled chicken salad and a fried chicken sandwich. Our order was ready very fast and they delivered it to our table which was a very nice touch. The food was delicious. The salad is a very generous portion and came with a lite vignarette dressing that was excellent. Great service, delicious food at a very reasonable price. We highly recommend this Zaxby's. Finally went and tried this place after all the hype on its grand opening and for the crowd to finally settle down. The place is very large and has good ambience. We went on a Saturday evening at 7pm and surprised that there were very few customers after all the hype about the crowds. This is our first time at Zaxby's and did not know exactly what to order and asked the cashier what is the most popular item. She said it was the Zaxby's Club Sandwich so we ordered that. Sad to say that when we got the sandwich, it was soggy and falling apart on every bite. It was also not as good as we thought especially it was considered their most popular item and recommended by staff. The sandwich seems to be made up of chicken nuggets with lots of sauce which made it soggy and every bite, some of the nuggets would fall off. Last night me and my family went to try this place and first off one of the girls that worked there looked at my mother (who was waiting for the food) like trash and ask one of the other workers "what is THAT waiting for " and rolled her eyes at my mother. I bought a sandwich from here on 20 Jun around 7p. I noticed the texture in the middle was a soft/chewy, a bit too much bounce. I looked at it twice while eating questioning if I should continue. Pros: I got the TLC Chicken Sandwich meal, it was very good, it was a good sized chicken breast, very tender and juicy, nice breading. Fries were pretty good. Cons: They asked if I wanted any sauces, made no mention that they cost extra money, it's only 25 cents but still let me know that, chick-fil-a sauces are free. Service was very slow took over 10 minutes to get my meal, and when I got there there was no line, I just walked up and ordered. By the time I got my food there was a long line and still only 1 cash register running. I will definitely be back, it was a very good chicken sandwich, I just hope they figure out how to make the service faster. Service here is consistently awful. I've dined both in and mostly drive thru. Food time is typically long, having to "wait up front" after placing my drive thru order. They consistently forget any special instructions. Want tongue torch sauce instead of Zac sauce? Too bad. Want the zax sauce you were suppose to get with the normal meal? Forget that too. Want nice hot fries? Oops, here are some with a nice cold kick to it. Bro, you are a FAST FOOD JOINT. The most BASIC instructions fall on deaf ears, let along just getting the order right. I've been here about 14 times (only Zaxby's in the area) and 11 of those visits I've had problems. Just use both your ears. Also, my personal favorite, you ask for ketchup, they give you two packets for your 4-person meal.
