Worst customer service ever. This male worker was rude AF. Not a good experience if he's not happy working there he better quit.

Zara has been my favorite clothing brand of all time, unfortunately at this store most of the staff behind the checkout counter are ridiculously rude. I had tried to ignore their non-service minded attitude every time I went there but last Friday was the end of it. One staff possibly a supervisor/manager reluctantly checked me out and tried to overcharge me twice. She didn't apologize or care to say anything about her mistakes, she was even being rude towards me and my friend when we corrected her. Absolutely unacceptable!!! I can't believe nobody from the management has done anything about the poor customer service which has been mentioned a lot in most of the reviews for this store. Better to Shop Online! read more

Amazing customer service and selection, from the moment you walk in the employees greed you and try their best to find the right items!!

I used to love shopping Zara clothes but coming to Seattle Zara put a bad taste on my mouth. The place is chaos, small and racist! My son and I went shopping at Zara last weekend after we meet in Seattle for breakfast but before we came in the store, we both saw the front security guard reading or looking on his iPad or something on his hand. I told my son they have men clothes too 'cause I don't want him to follow me around while I shop. After awhile, I saw that front security guard man with that wrinkled suit on his wearing walking but I never paid attention where he's heading to cause I was busy shopping. Then my son confronted me and pleading to leave the store immediately 'cause he's not comfortable being inside Zara store and I told him to just give me five minutes. So I made my purchase and before we left Zara outside doors my son was staring at this "security guard" and uttered "fit the profile huh"!!! I was confused at first but when we went to Urban outfitter store I confronted my son and asked what was that all about??? This Zara security guard followed my son inside Zara store told him he needs to check his bag; the bag that my son was carrying. It's a Goorins bag a wide open bag (not zipped) with our leftover food inside and knick knack foods that the owner of the restaurant personally give us inside the bag my son was carrying and then the Security guard furtherly told my son to take off his Pullover shirt 'cause he fits the profile of something whatever that is!! My son is of mix black American wearing a nice baseball hat and a College student in Seattle Pacific University. How dare he (Zara security guard) assumed my son to be a shoplifter 'cause he fits the profile???? I would have and came back to the store and file a complaint but my son doesn't want to go back and see his ignorant face anymore. Zaraless here!!! Never again I'll set foot on that store! read more

William (their rental security guard) will literally follow you if you're a person of color even after you've purchased your items. At first I noticed him constantly looking at my friend and I. Later , he's next to us every move we made after leaving the door which he was supposed to be posted at. Definitely called him out on this BS! Called the store manager and said there's nothing she could really do, but apologized and told me to call corporate. If you feel like being harassed come to this location read more

I feel the need to warn everyone of a flaw I have found with this company. I do love Zara and I grew up shopping with them for well priced and beautiful clothing. I have been let down by their customer service at the store and from online representatives. I purchased quite a bit and only a few outfits did not fit me, unfortunately my card was said to have been compromised over the weekend from an unknown source so my bank is canceling my card. I just received my clothing this Thursday and there isn't enough time to do a return with that original card, I assumed if I just showed both cards and explained what happened they would return it to me. I was very wrong,I called to explain what was going on and apparently they can not ever return merchandise to another card even if I have proof this has happened. She offered me store credit and when I asked for a manager she said rudely "I am the manager and I won't do it". I called customer service and was told I be called back with no call received. I guess I'm not a big enough spender to be offered good customer service but hey I can tell other people what they did and hopefully they will change this policy in the future. It will be a while till I purchase clothes from them. It makes me sad because I love Zara but customer service matters and you need to get better managers who aren't rude to your clientele. Thank goodness for the internet! read more

Your store employees are arrogant workers who cannot do retail for the sake of my time. I came in the other day to pick up my packages and your employee searched for it within 15 min... then forgot my other package..15 min later she finally found it and rolled her eyes as she gave it to me. Either hire decent older age workers instead of these adolescents who probably didn't go to school---obviously they lack manners and etiquette. read more

Love the clothes but stood in line for 30 minutes to pay for them...AND this was on a Wednesday afternoon!!! The girl at the register said that there are only 4 employees for the entire store for each shift. Guess it didn't help that both registers had people returning an armful of their online purchases. Regardless...I like the online store better. Not only for the service but convenience. read more

Horrible customer service at the Bellevue Zara! wish I could give it zero stars. They don't answer phones in a timely manner and the department manager kept trying to get me to call customer service to resolve my problem. She also didn't want to tell me I had a choice to speak with the store manager. They need better training!!! read more

Decent place to pick up a few pieces of trendy clothing. I normally come in right when they open so I don't have to deal with the crowd. I was in a week ago picking up a few things for work and everything was great. Went home, tried everything on and decided to bring a jacket back because the fit wasn't what I was looking for. Some cashier thinking that she was too good to help me at the register decided to be a little high and mighty with me about the return, even though I have the receipt with the tag attached from the previous day. Unfortunately for her, I wasn't about to let someone wearing a polyester-blended jacket give me her attitude. Long story short, she learned her lesson and the rest of the transaction went through smoothly with her awkward smile and my claws tapping the counter waiting to strike again. read more

The WORST customer service. I love Zara but I would avoid the downtown location if possible. From the sales associates all the way up to the managers. There is a reason that people shop at Nordstrom, and the customer service at this store isn't worth the hassle. The store is an absolute mess and I haven't had a single experience where a sales associate is actually willing to help me or anyone around me. They will send you on a chase to find anything you want and will provide you 0 direction or guidance. I've had multiple negative experiences but my most recent - purchased something from the store, I got home and realized that this item had the sensor on it and a hole in it. They would not exchange the item..unless I could somehow find it on my own in their mess of a store, and then acted as if taking off the sensor was a privilege and their version of going "above and beyond." It's one thing to have sales associates fail in terms of customer service it is another thing when a manager fails. I'm extremely disappointed in this stores service and if they continue this level of customer experience.. they'll end up like the rest of the department stores who are no longer in business. read more

I ordered a pair of jeans OVER a month ago. I recieved the confirmation email and never heard a single thing after. I called the store multiple times and customer service. The only thing the store did was direct me to customer service and customer service never got back to me. Horrible customer service will never order anything from Zara again. read more

I purchased a jacket from the Seattle Westlake store on Monday 11/21. Today I realize there is a 30% off sale (hadn't planned on shopping on black friday) and returned to the store to have them match that. This was my first purchased from Zara so I was unaware that there is not price matching. Given this, I wanted to return it and was told they couldn't because the tags were off. Granted, I did wear the jacket to the store and was the 2nd time I had worn it but it was in perfect condition. I had the tags with me but had lost the receipt. I like the jacket and it's great quality but I wanted to take advantage of the 30% off. I asked them to look up the receipt, to which the person (Anthony) said they couldn't. I find it hard to believe in this day they can't look up a receipt given that I had the tags and my credit card. Further, I have never had an issue with any other stores with price matching or returns (including when they have to look up the receipt). This was all bad enough, and $40 is not going to break me. The bigger issue was I waited in line at the register for 10-15 minutes because there was only one person at the register (on Black Friday of all days). Once I got to the front, the cashier was unpleasant and looked pissed off. She spent 5 minutes on the walkie talkie going back and forth with Anthony. I finally suggested that she have him come up here so she could continue ringing others out as the line was getting longer. That's when Anthony, in a unpleasant mood as well, said nothing could be done. I have worked in retail and now do consulting for retail and the customer experience here was terrible. The manager showed no empathy which is customer service 101 and I saw no smiles or warm welcoming by any associate in the store. Also, several times associates came behind the counter and then left, never helping ring out customers or calling for backup as the line had expanded to at least 10-15 people. While I understand not matching the price as that is the policy, the policy doesn't say you have to have the tags on still and it has to be in perfect condition (which it was), not that it could have never been worn as Anthony stated. This experience has really turned me off and has made me reconsider shopping at Zara again, and all over what would be $40 as the jacket was originally $139.99. As a side note, two days ago I went with my girlfriend to Madewell to try and return a pair of $150 jeans she had purchased a few months prior that had a small rip in the side, that was most likely caused by her washer. Further, they were black and faded from being washed. The associate there immediately grabbed the jeans, even after my gf admitted the rip might be from the wash, and got a new pair of the same jeans and performed an exchange, after looking up her receipt. During the whole exchange, the associate was cheerful and smiling, This is the type of exchange that I would have looked to see from Zara but was on the complete opposite side of the spectrum. read more

The workers are very rude. I was trying on clothes in the 1st changing room. Asked my husband, who had our kids, for his opinion on an outfit. I was fully clothed, he didn't come in the changing room, and I was in the 1st room. The female worker was very rude to us telling him to get out, that he can't be back there. She acted like we did something inappropriate, while are young children were standing there. I told her I was getting his opinion since he was buying the clothes and it wasn't like he had to walk past the other changing rooms, or was in the room with me. Mean while she was getting smart with us a male worker walks back there taking clothes. So, my husband can't be back there because he is a man, but it's ok for a man that works there to be back there? They lost a sale and some costumers. Never again. read more

Love the Zara store and their products, but what defines another Zara store from another Zara store is the competency of their employees. Can you imagine waiting in line for 30 minutes with only three customers ahead of you and two cashiers that move like molasses? My total purchase came out to be 15.60 and I gave them 20.60 and was told that I was giving too much!!!! HAHAHA Either learn to do some elementary math or just have the register do the math for you. read more

Everytime I come in this store, I receive excellent customer service. I came in the store today looking for a particular dress I found online. It was very busy when I came in, though Rochelle knew exactly what I was looking for and took the time to go and find it. read more

Honestly, I don't what the deal is with the bad customer service reviews, because I always have great customer service at this zara! Associates really go out of their way to bring the sizes you need to the fitting room, even if the size you want is not there, they will have someone find it from the back! more than I ever get from H&M or forever 21... plus the associates also leave you to shop in peace with out like hounding you like at nordstrom. I love this store, keep it up! read more

I really like Zara and their clothes but I must say, the customer service at the Seattle location is the worst I have ever experienced in any retail establishment. The employees all look so miserable and like they were going to kill themselves after their shift. Not one person greeted smiled or acknowledged the customers around them. One employee almost ran me over with a rolling clothes rack and didn't even look twice to see if she hit me. As much as I like Zara, I may bypass this store next time I go to Seattle read more

Good closes, but horrible customer service! It is always a huge line to cashiers on the first floor why the second floor's cashiers desks are always closed! Not acceptable! read more

I finally went here for the first time. Based on the pictures on their website, I had much more higher hopes. It's similar to Nordstrom, in the price range. I don't base my decisions on sales assoc's since I like to take my time looking without someone constantly asking if I need any help. I found a dress, and the quality of their material seems on par with the price. I'll take a sale price any day, though! Overall, had a nice experience. read more

Terrible terrible terrible location. Showed up five mins before closing to make a return and refused to let me in. Crummy product, crummy customer service read more

fast forward to yesterday:::: i go in and i'm ready to purchase 7 items. one happens to be a pair of black high waist shorts. the girl at the register tells me to hold one second as these are not in the system. turns out they're from the 2015 winter collection and weren't even supposed to be out on the floor. she then casually tells me i'm unable to purchase them and puts them away. i have never experienced something like this at any store. ever. the item is clearly in their system as ONCE having been out on the floor and she even gave me the price for it but wouldn't make an exception or even give me a reason that makes sense. it's not HER fault i understand as this seems to be a bizarre company policy, but i am a frequent customer and i even told them i'm not planning on returning the item as i really love it. i wasn't able to purchase and it left a really sour vibe on their customer service. worst part was the way the girl talked to me. especially when i asked WHY this was a policy she replied with a condescending smirk "lol why? that's cute" ..... excuse me? i believe WHY is a pretty legitimate question when you're telling a customer they aren't allowed to purchase something that's out on your floor because it's from a different collection. like, in times like this you can make an exception especially when i'm sure it doesn't happen often and the customer is clearly not at fault and really wanted the item. i regret not speaking to a manager because yes, i really did want those shorts. it's not a big deal in the overall scheme of things but it's really not fair when the store messes up and can't just honor their mistake. i work in customer service IN RETAIL and the sales staff and managers are always going out of their way to rectify a situation. last thing a customer wants is a lot of indifference and WELP TOO BAD type of attitude towards an annoying situation. ridiculous. read more

Nice clothes, good prices, unfriendly staff. It's not that hard to pretend to care.

Horrible customer service. When out of sizes they didn't offer to even check online. Also security thought I was stealing something and followed me around because I had a backpack on....... very annoying read more

The return policy is ridicules. Heaven forbid if you buy something as a grift and they want to return it. How can you be in the same city as Nordstrom and have such horrible customer service? read more

The most horrible customer service I have ever experienced. I came into the store with the hopes of purchasing items for my honeymoon in Paris. I came into Zara to find some city dresses and dinner outfits, and their employees completely ignored me when I needed other sizes. I tried on a dress I really liked and when I asked for a smaller size, she rolled her eyes as she spoke into her microphone. While I was having issues with my dress, my fiancé was sitting in the waiting chair by the fitting room and one of the employees walked up to him and with the nastiest attitude told him to move his legs because he was blocking the hallway. What the hell was the chair for? I was extremely annoyed with the customer service so I left. Here's a little tip though: no one needs your snarky attitudes. You're losing customers. read more

The stock of clothes was fine but the costumer service is on existent. I was in the store for almost 30 minutes. Absolutely, not one sales person greeted me, gave a smile or approached me to ask if I needed help as if I was invisible. I was dressed very nicely, like any other person today shopping/perusing the clothes in the store and it was not busy at all. I tend to order most of my Zara items online, because ever since I've moved to Seattle from NYC, I've read many mixed reviews about their downtown location. I happened to be in the area, ready to make a sizable purchase which is a shame. They totally lost my business not that I think they actually care one but. First time I've ever had a bad experience in any Zara shop and I've shopped in NYC stores, in Spain, in Los Angeles and in Vancouver, Canada. Even when those shops were crazy busy, I was always happily greeted when I entered and offered help if needed. read more

Clothes are great. Customer service = horrible. I asked a sales associate to check to see if a size was available for an item I wanted. The first employee I asked said all the phones (gadget they use to check stock) are down so he couldn't check for me. Ok.....but I swear I saw another employee check something for another customer earlier. So I decided to ask another employee who was just walking around the store, not busy at all, she goes, whatever we have is out here on the floor, if you didn't see it, then we don't have it. As I was checking out, I asked the cashier to check and lo and behold! She pulls out the phone and checks for me! What the heck.........I had to ask THREE employees before any assistance. And mind you, this was on a Wednesday evening, not like the store was busy. Get off your high horses employees of Zara! You are in the customer service industry, supposed to be "servicing" your customers, not walking around and getting paid to do nothing! read more

The only reason I gave this place a two star is because the clothes is OK for the price. As many other reviewers stated, "The customer service is a joke." If you have lots of money and don't mind being treated second class because you want the latest ZARA fashion trend, then please do shop here. If you make a decent living or have lots of money but like to be treated with respect then shop somewhere else. Today, as I was shopping my wife went in to try some clothes and there was no place to sit outside the fitting room area where men are not allowed. Well they could have put a chair out front somewhere for men to wait, but no instead the counter girl says, "Sorry but we have no seats and you can't be by the fitting rooms." So as a husband, what was I to do? I left. My advice: go to a different store. Even Wal Mart has seats for people waiting for others trying on clothes. We went to the Gap, Old Navy, Nordstroms, and Macy's and I found seats while I waited. Thanks ZARA, but No thanks! read more
