I always make a point to stop by when I'm in the neighborhood! They also have the best Instagram content.

Awesome selection of high quality brands at very reasonable prices. I've never sold here but I imagine they're pretty selective.

The owner Gibran started talking to my daughter about making her a custom T-shirt and she said she wanted a velociraptor on it He said " how about a T Rex?" And she said "no a RAPTOR!" He and my daughter sat down (found a raptor template) and designed her shirt and when it was done she loved it. Then next time I went in, I was shopping for myself. I gravitated towards my normal looks, then Gibran brought me a few items. At first, I was like this is totally not me, I will look terrible in this and I tried it on and boy was I wrong. Everything he brought me looked amazing. There were a few things I was not convinced about, only because I didn't think I could pull them off, but I ended up buying two awesome sweaters and one shirt. Today my seven-year-old and I went in to check out some of their new things and again Gibran helped style me. He knows that I wear tights/leggings all the time, but that I want to expand my look. He showed me pieces that I could wear with leggings and new things that were a little bit different. Not only did he do that, but he explained why certain things looked good on my body type. I bought a few different pieces, including one that I wasn't sure about last time. My 7 year old asked for another custom shirt and she snagged a cool tiger hat. I got a Phinney Ridge hat for my 14 year old son too. This is the place you can go and know that what you are walking out with looks amazing on you and It's not just some sales person saying "oh yeah you look great" when you clearly don't. You will get so many compliments on your outfits. Go, visit them. You definitely won't be sorry.

I only speak as a person who purchases pieces from here, not as a seller. The store is on the smaller size and can get crowded especially on the weekends. The staff is extremely friendly and very welcoming when you come in. They have a wide variety of brands ranging from Target, Zara, Patagonia, Asos, H&M. I have purchased a lot of winter and work clothes that I absolutely love. The dressing rooms are spacious and if there is ever a long line, the employees just write down your name so you can keep shopping around. When you purchase your items, you get to donate to a nonprofit, which is pretty cool! This Buffalo Exchange is on a busy part of Ballard so it is tricky to find parking. You might have to park a few blocks up and walk.

My things began all tidied up and folded. After wandering around for all of 10min, I ended up receiving the vast majority of my things back (ie; Madewell, Anthro, Nordstroms & Rack, Macy's, etc.) and was offered a whopping ~$40 for the things they determined would be a "yes". Uhhh.... Nope! Around $40 for 8 things, breaking down to $5/piece, when I'd noticed (for example) an average t-shirt would be priced at around $20. So, I smiled and passed entirely. Ready to leave and seeking out all of my clothes, all of my things deemed "yes" were spotted on top of a cart, all piled up like I'd already agreed! Damn, what a sad scam. My last complaint is ... all (every single item!) of my things were just haphazardly tossed back into the bag and box, not a single item was re-folded nor any care taken whatsoever after rooting through them. Yuck. The young folks working there were friendly, but..... really?! The treatment of my clothing entirely negates any friendliness from the young folks. So, Buffalo Exchange.... THIS is how you encourage or secure repeat customers? Piling things up, willy-nilly, no care taken after a truly meager sum has been offered?! Nahhhh. Sadly, once again I'll opt to stick to the impersonal online route. Sorry, real live humans!

It's a completely different store with a different vibe. For starters the prices are high, $119 plus tax for a used Woolino sleep sack, you can get one new from the company or amazon for a few more dollars. Another thing is that they no longer sort clothing by gender. This is incredibly annoying when shopping for boys clothing as there is prob 75% girls to boys clothing in consignments stores. I'm guessing this is due to people over buying for girls and girls not making their clothes as messy, this was the case with my children. This comment isn't designed to attack people who want to dress their children GN, it's more an annoyance that it takes significantly longer to sort though the clothes which is tough when you have 2 kids in tow. Perhaps brand back the gendered cloning and have a third GN section.
